Anyway, this video from Destructoid sums up my feelings pretty well. Albeit a little abrasively. Sorry if this has already made the rounds here as well, I didn't see it, but didn't dig much either.

With SS, we just saw the new Wii Motion Plus mechanics, which was fine but it doesn't excite people like content does. New lands and new worlds excite the imagination and Nintendo showed nothing of that at E3.
The problem with OoT 3DS is that it's old content, further exacerbated by the complete lack of original IPs at Nintendo's E3 conference. Every single title hyped for the 3DS was a franchise title and given the high number of remakes, it's not hard to feel resentful about the lack of creativity from Nintendo.
As for my personal reaction to the Zelda announcements, I'm hopeful that SS will focus on combat over puzzles, as that was the focus of the E3 showing. I'll be buying OoT for 3DS, but I won't be buying the 3DS for OoT. Paper Mario deserves that recognition.
I'm also glad that Nintendo have time to rethink their strategy with the handheld Zeldas, as I think PH and ST were among the worst Zelda games in the franchise. Despite being a fan, I didn't need to hesitate before trading ST in. It barely felt like Zelda.

Nintendo, by their own admission, don't value content (i.e. the substance of video games, the virtual universe), which is why they're so willing to strap new gameplay mechanics to their old franchises. That disinterest in content is what's causing the negativity among the fanbase.

I will admit that content (I would prefer to call it game length..) is an important part of a game, and for a Zelda game, and old skool fans, it's the only thing. I really would like to play Zelda with a single controller relaxing in a lazy boy, but Nintendo is moving toward a new market. I haven't bought a wii game in years.
