Translation of The Legend of Zelda Manga from 1989 complete.

Interesting to see the author's take on the Zelda plot at a time when nearly no official story existed, as well as how many of his predictions came true.

Check it out here!

That was a good manga. Probably one of the best I've seen. It is easy to forget it was made before the Zelda canon was actually established. The only thing I have against it is that Link doesn't have his hatPosted Image .

Nice work! Having so little story, Legend of Zelda is really the one that allows the most free adaptations. I see it was released after AoL came out, and it looks like they've taken the AoL story into account by having Zelda be the name of the whole line of princesses/queens. You kind of expect most "collect all the pieces" plotlines to end up as montages in manga adaptations...

From a storyline point of view it might be a little interesting to note Ganon's attempting to break the seal on the demon world. But probably best not to read too much into it. Aren't demon worlds always sealed off?

And added tension with racial discrimination against elves and Link being an illegitimate half elf child. I don't imagine the king would take very kindly to finding that out.
