What did you do to make it? Take a picture of yourself, then sketch it using Corel and a freehand mouse pointer? I've found using a pencil treacherous enough, but a mouse?

It's really pretty (but it would surprise me if it weren't, Madam BFA.) I'm kinda curious, though, about why you the subject look like you were done with a mouse-brush, but the background swirling around you around the edges looks...somehow different.

Yeah, I do a lot of mousework, but mostly 1 pixel brush pixel art (see deviantart gallery), and I know that's hard enough, I wonder how the painting goes!

With that in mind, it is definitely awesome. I can't do anything close to reality. XD

I use a Wacom Intuos3 digital tablet, so it's like I'm actually using a pencil/pen/brush but on the computer. I never use a mouse in my digital drawings unless they're for a vector drawing or illustration.

And Corel is a program that actually emulates a true-to-life "painting" feel. Any medium used (chalk, charcoal, oil paint, watercolor, acrylic) actually flows onscreen like it would in real life.

the top lip and the tip of the nose feels a bit off to me but it's over all very good. though also the lighting doesn't feel consistent, though part of that may be from the camera you used and where you were standing to do the shot. I do like the angle of the pose. It flows very well from top to the right and then back down and draws you to the point where the shoulder and chin meet, but this area also feels a bit too light for the rest of the lighting. I am sad that there isn't more of a background to it, not much but some, though the grey inset does counter the colors very well. The eyes could probably used a bit more love and concentration because it is what draws the eye ( ^.^ )first but over all it is very well done. I like Coral very much especially with a tablet, but alas I haven't gotten it for my comp. >.<

At first I thought the picture was a photograph.

Actually Alex, I'd say the hand draws the eye ;) Ha. Ha. I'm punny. :( Thanks for the input. Yeah I think the nose probably could have used a little more work, too. Lips don't bug me too much.

I most certainly did. Haven't messed with Corel in awhile. It was fun knowing I could still work it.
