I had the strange impulse to draw today (after years of not picking up a pencil to do so), and the Chronicles was the subject. I might make a series out of it, though given my ADD and better things to do, I can't promise that they'll all get done. And if they do get done, they'll probably be more what's in my mind's eye rather than what the intended look was....

But we arbitrarily start with Steel's character. The armor-on version.

Looking fancy Lena. But I know of an invention that might just suit your fancy, it's called whitelines writing paper. All the glory of lined paper, with white lines for subtly.

Hmm.....it just feels awkward to see someone standing feet shoulder-width apart...but both feet lined up directly at the viewer. From the hip up, beautiful, but the feet just make me feel...like I twisted my ankles last week; twingy.

Brilliant work which has certainly got me contemplating my own artistic talents, might need a fair amount of time and practice before reaching this quality. I'm with Ransom, I'd love to be able to make my own version of my character not relying on theft.

Inspired by Lena I spent the last few nights trying out a few character concepts.
Seemed to be able to do everyone but my own character! Guess that's typical.

Trying to vibe a more portrait style to this set, as in trying to capture the character's personality more than their physical details. So far coming up ok!

(not posting here them here though, firstly because they're not finished and secondly because I don't want to pirate Lena's thread.)
