When would it be? (You can specify where too.)

In terms of commodities, let's assume you were born with no knowledge of today, too. So that way I can't miss video games if I didn't know they exist! XD

The above also means that you shouldn't worry about sanitation, cleanliness, and all the other drawbacks as you wouldn't be aware of any better. :3:

Personally, I would like to go not-too-far back to the 1900s. I believe the world has had it's largest changes in the smallest amount of time, going from 1900-2000. So many events to see! As for where, well...that's the hard part. XD

And yes, saying "Wouldn't want to, cause I love right now ;d" is a fine answer. XD Definitely my second choice!

I would live in this time period...but I would VISIT in other time periods..like the early 1900s in New York, the early 1800s out west..maybe during the medevil time period...but I would have to travel out to Europe. lol

but if I was born in those time periods I wouldn't have survived child hood. When I was an infant I was real sick and would have died if it wasn't for modern technology.

The upper Paleolithic or the early Mesolithic. Before all that 'civilization' stuff started happening. And back before some of those cool animals went extinct.

Though probably for just a few months worth of time-travel vacation time.

This is going to sound weird, but I'll go with the 80s. I was born in 84, so I only caught the tail end of this most awesome decade. When I watched He Man and Transformers, they were already in reruns. And then there were arcade machines, the music, 80s movies, and all kinds of other media that were just past their peak when I was growing up. So I got to experience it all, just not for long enough.

So yeah, being about 8 years old in 1980 would be pretty cool.

I'd like to be the same age but in either the 1920s New York or the 1950s Chicago. I'd love to have had a chance at old blue eyes when he was closer to my age! ^.^ oooo or Chet Baker!!!!!!!!

I'd like to be able to live through either the 60's-80's here in America or in Britain, and Ancient/Medival Europe (or more specifically, Rome).

I think Rome would be interesting to live in during the Renaissance or the Enlightenment but I'd rather almost go for greece

Also,Emiko, Fly Me to the Moon was a great song, but there are tons of songs that Sinatra did that were not his own too that I think were almost better by him. LOVE, for example, or My Valentine.

As far as the past, Ancient Rome is my answer, without a doubt. The 1950's would also be super amazing!

Witnessing the Chinese Civil War would be pretty cool, or the British occupation of Hong Kong; I'd say late 1940's.

Hmmm (*daydream*)

You know. I think something is terribly wrong here. We eat lots of fruits and veggies. All our meat is free range. We get plenty of exercise. And yet our average life-expectancy is still around 30.

The more I learn about history...the more I DON'T want to live in the past. The lifestyle your average American lives would require a Roman to have over 200 slaves, and even ignoring the piteous standards of living, there were social and economic problems galore that make our own day look...comparatively nice, thank you very much. That said, the early middle ages in Scotland would be my choice...but maybe that's because I'm Scotch-Irish. Feudal Japan would be a close second.

I would definitely not want to go back to Feudal Japan! >w<

I think I'd like to stay close to this time, really. Visiting the 1960s or '70s at the age I am now would be nice - I just drool on myself when I think of all the wonderful bands I could see live if I could go back to those decades. ;d

My second choice would be Germany in the mid-1600s to mid-1700s, just so I could have the chance to hear Bach and Buxtehude play... :3:

So did I, wisp. :3: He definitely passes Kitsune's test on so many levels. XD

But then there's Egann who said *shiver* senpai >.<

Maybe I should rephrase the question to "Which would you like to see as an entity that cannot interact or be interacted with from another dimension." XD

Well I would state the future, because everything in the future will be aweseome... hopefully. And staying here in the good 'ol present is just fine, but if I was to go back in time and observe an era, or at least passively interact with one....

The 1960s. Really, it would be a terrifying time to live in. Sure, there was the mutually assured nuclear annihilation thing, but that the that would keep me from wanting to participate full on in the decade would be the Vietnam War. Hearing about the veterans who came back basically broken in one way or the other makes me glad we have not had a draft since.

On the other hand, seeing what was going on in a socio-political sense woul d be astounding. Vietnam was one of the most polarising things to occur to America's collective pysche, and seeing the environment that tensin creates seems kind of exciting. Then again, the 60s was pretty much the decade of great social change i.e. counterculture, second-wave feminism.

The thing I would really want to see though is something that occured almost directly at the end of the decade... No, not Woodstock you greasy hippie, I'm talking about something cosmic. Y'know, the first ever manned moon landing? Seeing something like that seems like it would be awesome. Especially since it seems like we will not have another man on the moon for many years now...

EDIT: Also, baring all that, the time I would want to go to is the BEGINNING OF TIME ITSELF. That's right, witnessing the birth of all creation. So yeah.

I think I'd rather not see the beginning of all time. Cause the possibility that time is cyclical, and would technically have no beginning or end... well, I just don't wanna know. xD

Hmm, I guess, if I had to be born in the past, I might place myself around the time of the American Revolution. I have a thing or two I'd like to say about the Constitution, but I'm two-hundred years to late to say it now.

So? Am I wrong? Is she not my senpai or something?

(I think I shall continue to irk Kitsune with this until the end of time. Or at least, pretty darn close to it.)

Well, in some circles, one of which I am unfortunately aware of, the word has horrible, horrible connotations. XD

I think you're better off just calling her your senior. ;d But suit yourself. You're nor irking me, but bringing pleasure to lots. >w<

I wonder if we should include the power of retrospection...I was aiming more for "You know what will happen until you pick, but then imagine you don't know what happens next"

It really effects the judgment, I see! XD

Any time between 1960 and 1990.

Any time between 3,000 BC and 1700 AD

Highlights would be: Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt; Medieval europe, fucking MONGOLIA during the rule of Genghis Khan, and Japan.
