To say nothing of the Megaraptor.
Anyway, I've got two - can't beat the classic Tyrannosaurus Rex, nowadays sporting a weird feathered mane/crest - which I can't find pictures of besides the book I physically have in my hand and is far too large to fit in my puny scanner, so no pic sicne I know all of you already know how he looks in the classic style.
And I've always, always been fond of Amargasaurus - it's a sauropod with a pronounced fin! I mean, come on!

Special mention goes to the Drinker for being called the Drinker. (Yes, it's named after Edward Drinker Cope, but whatever.)

Therizinosaurs is also badass - an herbivore that can rip you apart like a carnivore? Awesome.

Gigantosaurus also gets a mention for being the largest terrestrial predator of the time(s?)

Another favorite of mine is the Ankylosaurus, it has built-in armor and its tail works as a club.

And to throw in a carnivore, I would have to say the Allosaurus, not quite as fearsome as the larger Tyrannosaurus but still pretty cool.

Anyway; on topic:
I also enjoyed the Dilophosaurus, the way they were depicted in Jurassic Park, at least. XD It may be a very shallow choice, and it may be inaccurate, as seen above the movie had other problems apparently, but I like how they look and what they do~

The Stegosaurus is not to be trifled with. They are known to arm themselves with frikkin' lasers in addition to their spikey tails.
I'm with him.

I was ridiculously into dinosaurs as a kid. Like, I wanted to dig them up more than anything in the world. We even had a project in 3rd grade where we were put into teams, were given pictures of bones, and had to glue them together on construction paper to make up a Tyrannosaurus skeleton. My group was the only one that did it right. =3 cause of me =3
Another favorite of mine, was the Compsognathus. They were like the large carnivores, only tiny!

And Allosaurus vs T-Rex is always a hard one.
(stolen from some other forum with people fighting insanely over this topic)
Tyrannosaurus Rex
Length: 40 ft
Weight: As much as seven army jeeps
Height: Some 15-20 feet
Teeth length: Typically 6 in.(sometimes 9! one even was 13!)
Teeth number: 60
Allosaurus
Length: 36 ft
Height: Maybe about 14 feet or 16
Teeth length: 4 in. or so.
Teeth number: 70
Yes, the Tyrannosaur was a bit longer, a little taller, and had HUGE teeth. HOWEVER, T-Rex has been debated to MAYBE have been somewhat of a scavenger, eating dinosaurs who have recently died. Also, the species Gigantosaurus came from the Allosaur group, and it easily would win (even if the normal Allosaurus might not). So...who's to say?

Dear lord. It's like a giant emu with wicked muscular claws on its legs AND arms. I can only imagine the matches between the men during mating season.Therizinosaurs is also badass - an herbivore that can rip you apart like a carnivore? Awesome.

The facts Chik cited are a bit off from the wikipedia data...which says Allosaurus was substantially smaller: the largest definitive skeleton of T-Rex is 42 ft, while the largest Allosaurus is 32. Just making SWAGS off the figures, Allosaurus was probably on average 5-7 feet shorter.
The real difference, though, is in weight. Despite not being all that much larger, weight estimates put T-Rex as being over twice as heavy as allosaurus. (2.3 metric tons for the largest Allosaurus, 5.5 or 6.5 for the AVERAGE male and female T. Rex respectively.) I would be astounded if T-Rex were NOT a predator (those teeth are meant to do massive damage, not dismember an already dead carcass) but the weight and center of gravity makes me think that T. Rex was a linear sprinter that couldn't turn too well at speed.
Which do you prefer, a car that has TONS of horsepower, but is too heavy to turn well, or a rocket that (admittedly) can't go from 0-60 as fast, but can turn on a dime? Allosaurus was common because it was all-purpose. T. Rex was rare because it was a niche predator. Same thing with Leopards and Cheetah.

I don't think I could choose a favourite now, though the velociraptor was like... the UBER DINO for me when I was a kid. XD

Allosaurus is definitely a BAMF.

Yeah...I was heartbroken when I found out that Jurassic Park LIED TO US and that most velociraptors were turkey-sized (one of the big exceptions being Deinonychus.)

Also, as I alluded earlier, Megaraptor.

...course, that might end up like Therizinosaurs where it turned out, whoops, not a carnivore, sorry!
Due to my obsession with all things flight, Quetzalcoatlus!

They were on the Power Rangers! That has to count for something. Otherwise, dinosaur-dinosaurs aren't as cool as the pterosaurs. Same for just about any land animal versus a flying animal.

I did always find it funny that only two out of the original 5 were actual dinosaurs - then came Tommy and lawyer friendly robot Godzilla to confuse everyone. At least Titanus was a dinosaur too.
