Well, back in the day when Japan first released Red and Green, we got Red and Blue in the U.S.

Yes, anyway. Surprised they pulled it out of the bag this quickly, thena gain, given how Corocoro and Pokemon Sunday were supposed to pipe up about it on the 11th, I shouldn't be surprised that there's a "leak."

I'll get whichever has the cooler looking Legendary. Like always. Wonder if any other Gen 5 Pokemon will show up in the new movie. Ah well, just remember the wise words of the departed...

Well, this is certainly... quick. I mean, HG/SS practially just came out... Well, It will be cool to see what happens. The simple Black & White version naming scheme is something I kinda like, the precious metal/stone/gem naming convention was starting to wear itself out.

Also my money is that the third will be RAINBOW VERSION!!!

Can't wait for more information! I know there's always the same speculation whenever new games are planned, but I really think there'll be a Light Type this time around.

Green was a completely different game than Blue though.

Japan first got Green and Red, then later got the third game, Blue, with updated sprites and whatnot. The foreign releases of Red and Blue are based on the updated Japanese Blue version, with the Pokémon appearancy frequencies of Red and Green.

I shouldn't think they'll mess up the type chart after three generations of it being the same... Though I guess anything's possible.

Anyways...

We don't really know enough about the new generation to speculate much. I'd like it if they completely overhauled the "story"... As in, actually had more of a story than the current games. There's only so many times you can play "boy leaves town hometown, meets professor, gets starter Pokémon, complete small errand, gets Pokédex, beats 8 gyms, foils a criminal gang" without it starting to get dull.

Anyway, assuming we do stick with tradition, how about a Rock/Flying/fighting starter trio? It works the same as Fire/Grass/Water!

I think the game has always been the point over the story~ So long as the gameplay is the same and/or adds a few more interesting things, I really have no complaint about the typical story.

As for speculation, let's just wait as not to get disappointed!
