Whether that website exports outside of Japan, I do not know.
For the record, the website where the two quotes disproving the '98 Miyamoto quote mention 64Dream stating that ALttP and OoX share a common Link, so that's two sites mentioning the magazine quote. Whether this was pre-release intent, I also do not know.

One of these may very well be the magazine the quote is said to come from.

Two sites mentioning it? That might mean something. Since it is talking about just the oracles and not the original project with three games, it might be accurate. Especially considering ALTTP link was a lot younger in GBA ALTTP than in SNES ALTTP.
If it is, then we know the order of the old 2d games. First the 98 timeline being disproven, and now this?! What will be next? Aonuma stating that FSA is a prequel to ALTTP, TMC is first, and that the old games follow TP?I think that really depends on whether or not there is an actual developer interview in such magazine...

I think it is more likely for him to confirm that either FSA is a prequel to LttP and that TMC follows TWW or that the FSS follows in the AT while the old games follow in the CT...

Maybe this is another case of mixed messages within Nintendo, where people didn't even know where it was meant to fit and made the same shallow guesses (ZOMG BOAT=LA) we did? Hell, the person who drew the ending sequence might have thought it was meant to precede LA (though the boats are different, so who knows).

Well, its an Japanese entry. Maybe he interpretated OoX differently? Japanese is ambigious after all. Either way, I deem it more likely that capcom did things the way they did to keep the story less external and more simple. I.e. They had Zelda introduce herself, even if they intended for Link to be the same one from ALTTP. OoX was pretty messed up either way.How valid can this be when it says that Link and Zelda already know each other, which blatantly contradicts the game?
At least we can blame the lack of quotation because of some stupid copyleft controversy in Japan.
He does in the ending. Zelda is already back at her castle, and then we see Link sail away from a place that has a castle in its background. He was obviously leaving Hyrule...didn't leave Hyrule deliberately
The artstyle is also visibly different. Its style in OoX seem more anime-esque, if I had to say.and is visibly YOUNGER than ALttP Link.
Well, that is kinda funny cause the only part that is not original in the ending is the boat, which has exactly the same form as the boat silhouette we saw in the LA opening.Hell, the person who drew the ending sequence might have thought it was meant to precede LA (though the boats are different, so who knows).

Well, Zelda at least knew of Link since she dreamed about him, which is also why she goes to Labrynna/Holodrum.

However, Link is still unacquainted with Zelda, meaning that the quote is flawed either way.

True, you'd think Zelda wouldn't need to tell Link that she's Zelda if they knew of each other.

In a rough translation from an online translator of atwiki, it seems to say that during development ALttP and OoX had the same Link. It may not be the case now, but I think it just confirms that OoX hovers somewhere around ALttP-LoZ/AoL, which many of us suspected anyhow.
