This is an interesting thing I noticed while playing FSA again recently. It is assumed that Vaati died in FSA (I think it is, anyways), but the animation looked like he was sent to the DW. But Zelda and Ganon talk about him as if he's dead. I'd say he's dead, but if he's alive, we could see him in future games. Vaati, in my opinion, is the only good villain in the series besides Ganon. It would be nice to see him instead of new villains (or at least one better than Bellum. I thought he was a wimp).

I don't think you should pay too much attention to the animation.

After all, in The Minish Cap, it looked as if Vaati outright died. But he couldn't, because TMC is supposed to be his origins story. And as much as I'd love to see him return, I severely doubt he will. The vast majority of games he appeared in were joint ventures with Capcom, making me suspect that he was a Capcom creation. If that's correct, then Four Swords Adventure was actually Nintendo's attempt to kill him off for good, as they knew they couldn't use him again.

The DW doesn't work that way.

If they said he's dead, he's probably dead.

Seeing as how his speech was cut short as he fell apart and exploded, combined with the fact that his "magical pocket" emptied, it's likely that Vaati did die in TMC. Someone just screwed up and killed him in his origin story, making FS' backstory a separate event.

He may be dead, but it's interesting to note that he bears a strong resemblance to Deathl in LA.

Agreed. Although his "essence" may have survived.

Well, that settles it. We can't even trust the canonical games to give us an idea of what the timeline is.

Yes. That's true. But regarding TMC, wasn't it in development at around the same time as FSA? Why did Vaati die in both of them?! His death in TMC is quesitonable, but his death in FSA seems to be final. I wonder if that will ever happen to Ganon? We've already had 2 games in a row without him. If he isn't in the next game, he's probably gone for good.

You're forgetting ST and PH take place on the AT where Hyrule has all but been forgotten etc etc.

I doubt Ganon is gone.

Perhaps, but however you look at it, it just seems as if Nintendo doesn't like Vaati.

I certainly hope so. And if Ganon ever dies for good, that's the end of the series. but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

Remember that Ganon gives a nice "I'll be back" speech in TP. Granted that most of it was cut from the final version, but we still get the idea that his death in TP wasn't meant to be permanent.

Definitely not! And if he isn't in Zelda Wii, or at least mentioned, I'll destroy the development team. (lol)

And Capcom does come up with good villains like Vaati, Onox, Veran, and Sigma. Hey I just noticed. All of those guys died!

I've realized now why there are holes in the timeline.

We need to fill in those holes with penises the Mega Man games, original series and the X series, but NOT Battle Network. Let's get to work gentlemen.

The Hadouken and Shoryuken appear in the first couple of X games, so we'll have to throw in Street Fi--

Oh crap, not this whole thing again. :ahh:
