Vivian is better as a girl. trust me. urhrhrhrhr. Anywaaayz, I doubt Nintendo would make a symbolic pun if it didn't fit Ganondorf's character. He may not SEEM like a bad guy at the end of TWW, but that didn't stop him from tryng to destroy Hyrule anyway. And if you still sympathize him, it could of been a trick to get the Triforce. "Satan oft masquarades as an angel of light"
He didn't want to destroy it. The gods already did that. He just wanted to claim it as his. And that's different. What's so wrong about trying to take a land that didn't really belong to anyone anyways 'cept an apparation who doesn't know how to let go of the past.

Um...that's ONE thing, yea. but he also wanted to RULE the WORLD! -.-; and since Hyrule is supposed to stay dead, I'm sure the Goddesses consider it a sin for Ganondorf to try and bring it back or something. Besides, this ONE moment does not excuse ALLLLLLLL the rest of his evil history.
If the goddesses wanted hyrule to stay dead, why did they bother to preserve everything, instead of just destroying it?
The way i saw it, the original plan was to bring hyrule back when there was a hero strong enough to defeat ganon... the king was probably doing just that, until he saw even WW link was unable to do anything even with the master sword and light arrows... so he got really discouraged and just figured better to wipe out hyrule than let ganon get his hands on it someday eventually (what with his infinite comeback ability) so... yeah. I don't agree with him, and i doubt the goddesses wanted that to happen.

I can't even believe I need to argue this. The man lived in a tower suspended over a pool of magma and idled away the twilight hours playing sinister organ music. Of course he was evil.

All those things happened in ancient past and he was already punished for it. What did he do within the last one hundred years? Oh he kidnapped a bunch of girls, tried to steal a land that was dead anyways, and destroyed a island where virtually no one lived anyways (that last one we aren't even sure he's responsible for. So KORL says he did it that means he's guilty!?). Taken all that in account did he REALLY deserve to be impaled in the head? I mean COME ON! Suddam only got locked in jail for way worse! If Ganon should die a vioent death then King Daphnes should've gone out the same way too because he's JUST AS GUILTY AS HE WAS!

And remember, by the time of TWW he had already gotten out and been somehow pacified once again already (a point a lot of people seem to miss). What did he do? Only throw down the foundations of civilisation! Again. So he pops up for a third time and its all abduction of small children and ripping the souls out of Sages--hardly the actions of a reformed character.
Nabooru had to put up with getting some sand in her eyes on windy days but did she go around committing regicide and covering the land in darkness? No.
Although yeah, given that the Gods preserved Hyrule specifically because destroying it would be to "grant Ganon's wish" I'd say he made pretty poor use of the Triforce. And for all his "I desire hope for these children!" posing... Where the hell did he go when the Green Machine was waving those swords around and bitchslapping Tetra into a coma?

Wow. He killed a tree. Boo friggin hoo.I don't think a few centuries of purgatory spent in the Sacred Realm (which, by the way, he utterly defiled) can really atone for all the murder and attempted genocide.

Actually, the soul snatching of sages would have happened when he first escaped and he was in his "Red Wrath" state. That too happened a long time ago. Let's see, what did he do recently within THAT century. Let's see. He kidnapped three girls. Wow! You're right! He's a monster! Why stop at death by brutal maiming. Let's have him tortured for a while first!

Yes. King Daphnes is what I'd call a dead-beat father figure. You never hear from him for centuries but then he shows up in the most inconvient moment to totally screw around with your life.

it sounds bad, but it's true.Hyrule is like Israel. it was meant for the Goddesses' CHOSEN people. Ganondorf is an evil gerudo, thusly he is unworthy of it, especially since he'd probably corrupt it again.

i dunno, i think you should pick one that deserves to exist: hyrule OR the great sea.Oh, and if he did ressurect Hyrule, that would mean toppling over the Great Sea, ruining everyone's lives, economy, government, the society they worked so hard to create after they lost everything. You think Ganondorf should be allowed to destroy THAT too?
they look alive to me. he only knocked them out....a promise not to kill Link and Zelda, which he did ANYWAY.

He's like a serial killer who starts murdering people as soon as he's released from jail every time. He can be shut up for days or millenia, he still does the same stuff as soon as he's at liberty again.
Murderous bandit, tyrannical megalomaniac, vengeful demon...in every form he's a bastard, through and through.

That said, if he IS so incontrovertibly bad, it's a wonder nobody ever tried to kill him outright until LoZ and ALttP... i mean come on.. sealing him up? what's that gonna do?

Exactly what I say everytime Ganon is in a game and is locked away again.

LoZ:
Ganon was slain by the Silver Arrow, and nothing but his ashes remained.
LttP:
Ganon was destroyed by the Silver Arrows, and the Essence of the Triforce even backs up this claim.
OoT:
Despite all of the Light Arrows, Biggoron Sword/Megaton Hammer, and Master Sword swipes, Ganon still gets up more enraged than before, and is willing to go a third round with the Hero of Time, had it not been for Zelda and the other Six Sages placing him in tainted Sacred Realm.
OoS/OoA:
When Ganon was brough back from the dead it took nearly fifty swipes with the Master Sword to end the battle, but the isn't really any conclusive evidence suggesting that he actually died, but more or less just seemed defeated. Though one could argue on this one.
TWW:
Ganondorf gets hit with Light Arrows and gets impaled by the Master Sword, turning him to stone. Now some may think this as a death, but I do not. Palutena was turned to stone, and when Pit destroyed Medusa, she reverted back to her normal self, and this game was made by the Nintendo company. If that isn't a good enough reason to suggest that Ganondorf is still chances alive, then let's use Zelda being turned into a statue in the Minish Cap, and obviously she reverts back to normal.
HA:
To me it just seemed like he pretty much got banished and that is about it.
Now let's go on about how nice Ganondorf was in the Wind Waker for a moment.
MAJOR SPOILERS!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!
At the beginning of the game we find out that he kidnapped a bunch of girls who have blonde hair, big deal right, he must be a reformed guy, but let's look a bit deeper and find out for sure if he is or not. A creature known as Gohma, which has been used several times as a servant to Ganondorf, torments the spirit of the wind Valoo. Though surely Ganondorf wouldn't have placed that Gohma there, it must have been there on purpose, still this is no reason to impale a guy, so he is still good-natured right. Let's see what else happened. Oh for some strange reason, the sun refuses to come up when Link goes to get Nayru's Pearl, infact it seemed as if time itself has stopped, and someone with great powers summoned up a huge thunderstorm, large enough to cover the entire scope of the Great Sea. These strange happenings were said to have been Ganondorf's doing and that he destroyed the original island of where the Pearl guardian had lived. Still Link recovered the day by regaining the pearl, so I guess it wouldn't hurt if Ganondorf summoned a thunderstorm all the way around the Great Sea, force the sun not to come up (despite crops and stuff needing the solar energy from the sun) and destroy an island, so it all sounds reasonable to me, so he hasn't really done nothing bad just yet, I would say. Then the next time we hear or actually this time, see Ganondorf we get to hear from his side. Let's see if he thinks of himself as a nice guy.
"It's been a while, boy. You have done well to sneak into my fortress and wriggle your way all the way up here. I suppose that the least I can do is commend you for your reckless courage. My name is Ganondorf....And I am the master of the Forsaken Fortress.
"Link looks in shock, and raises his sword"
"By the way, boy...When you drew that sword of yours out of its pedestal...Did you by chance notice how all of the monsters frozen in time down there suddenly began stirring again? Do you understand precisely what that means? ...I highly doubt you do. Foolish child. While that sword is indeed the blade of evil's bane, at the same time, it has long played another role....You see, it is also a sort of key...a most wretched little key that has kept the seal on me and my magic intact!
A devious laugh and devilish grinning gesture goes over Ganondorf's face while Link looks puzzled by the words of the Evil King.
"By withdrawing the blade, you have broken that seal...
As soon as he says Link in a determined run charges at Ganondorf with all his might and nails him with the Master Sword....but to NO EFFECT! How can that be? Ganondorf knocks this twelve year old boy to the ground with his fist, and draws out his sword. Link lays on the ground possibly fearing for his life, since he does not have the triforce of courage, and one can notice his hands trembling while he was holding onto the Master Sword.
"You cannot defeat me with a blade that does not sparkle with the power to repel evil! What you hold is useless. Go back to the world below, and tell that to the pathetic fools who made this blade! Its power is gone, and its edges are dull!
Ganondorf raises his sword ready to excecute our hero, until Tetra comes running in, distracting Ganondorf. She jumps on his chest, and the Evil King attempts to swat her away. She goes over to Link and says this........
"Link! Get up!"
While being concered for Link, Ganondorf grabs the young girl by the throat, continuing his child abuse. Tetra then says....
"Uhh! Stop! Let me go!
The dark one grinning once again tells Tetra this......
"You pathetic little sea rat!"
As he begins to possibly kill her with his magic, his Triforce of Power begins to resonate. His eyebrows drop down in a very short confusion when he goes "!?!", he then says....
"My Triforce of Power is resonanting!"
He then laughs for a small bit in a maniacal form, and comments on finding out who Tetra truly is. Let's see what he had to say.
"Ha! At long last I have found you...Princess Zelda!"
Tetra looks at him as if the old man has lost his mind and tells him......
"Wh-What?! What are you talking about? I don't know any Zelda....
Though it appears that this old man knows a great deal and states this to her.
"Feining ignorance will gain you nothing! Tell me...if you are not Zelda, then why do you have this fragment of the Triforce?"
Then a huge rumble sets Ganondorf into a distraction, a long enough distraction for Komali and Quill to save Tetra and Link, and Tetra was sent into unconsciousnes from Ganondorf's choke hold. Ganondorf looked a bit disturbed at first, but when Valoo came there, he grinned, for he now had the knowledge of the two people who would gain the Triforce of Wisdom, and the Triforce of Courage, and Valoo even states that Ganondorf cannot be destroyed with such SIMPLE means as wrath and fire.
Okay he admits that he cannot be harmed by a blade that does not have the power to repel evil, making himself admit that he is an evil guy, and he smacks around two kids, was going to kill them at one point at least, but still let us give the guy another chance he could change I got faith in him.
Well as the story progresses we find out that Ganondorf had tried to seize Hyrule once before and turned it into a world of darknes for a time, and even later we find out that he had killed the Sage of the Earth Laruto, and the Sage of the Wind Fado. Still this was all in the past, no reason to bring things up from the past is there? Let the past die with the past, and let us try and give Ganondorf, oh one more shot, I think he be reformed this go around.
Blast Ganondorf, as soon as I give him another chance he goes by and captures Princess Zelda. Kidnapping is a felony I know, but still give the guy a break he might smoothe things over in the end. After all Ganondorf has a smiley face on the back of his cloak so...what's that you say, it's actually two dragon heads facing each other, and not a smiley face.....shhhhhhhh don't tell no one, he is a good guy and believes in peace, love, and happiness. So let's draw this thing to an end.
Oh what do you know, I told you Ganondorf was a nice guy, just look at the nice comfy bed that he has laid out for Zelda, let's see what he has to say.
" Do you sleep still...Wait...Do not be so hasty boy. I can see this girl's dreams. Oceans......Oceans......Oceans....Oceans.....Oceans as far as the eye can see. They are vast seas. None can swim across them. They yeild no fish to catch. What did the King of Hyrule say? That the gods sealed Hyrule away. And they left behind people who would one day awaken Hyrule. How ridiculous! So many pathetic creatures, scattered across a handful of lands, drifting on this sea like leaves on a forgotten pool. What can they possibly hope to achieve. Don't you see....All of you...YOUR GODS DESTROYED YOU!!!! I have been waiting for you, boy. For one like you.....Do not betray my expectations.
Okay now were shedding some light here, Ganondorf is not the bad guy people, the gods are. Din, Nayru, and Farore are the ones to blame, not Ganondorf. So he sent a puppet that resembles his demonic form against Link, well he is only trying to test the lad's abilities, as I am sure he is just wanting to perhaps to a little fencing with the young hero. That's what it sounds like to me, let's here what the big G had to say next.
Yes, surely you are the Hero of Time reborn. Your time has come......Come now....Stand before me!!
Yep I was right, now it's time for the moment where I know everyone is going to shed a tear. Let's hear Ganondorf's big sappy story.
My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gate pierced our homes. No matter when it came the winds carried the same thing. Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose. It can only be called fate. That here I would again gather the three with the crests. That I should lay my hand on that which grants the wishes of the beholder. That when power, wisdom, and courage come together, the gods would have no choice but to come down. The power of the gods, the Triforce. He who touches it will have whatever he desires granted. Already the crest of wisdom is mine...all that remains.......
See Ganondorf had a bad childhood, and these wretched gods had spoiled there so-called chosen people the Hylians, so Ganondorf was just trying to make them a bit more equal no harm in that either. It also made him feel so bad that he broke the tenth commandment (Thou shall not covet). Plus I also say that demanding that your creators would have no choice but to listen to your wish/wishes wouldn't be considered blasphemous or anything like that. So he is still pretty much a good guy so far. What's that you say, he just knocked the crap out of Link. Oh dear, child abusing again, Ganondorf stop that. I am sure he isn't going to kill the lad, so let's find out.
"Do not fear, I will not kill you. I merely have need of the power that dwells within you. Now let us put an end to that which binds us together!! Gods! Hear that which I desire! Expose this land to the rays of the sun once more! Let them burn forth! Give Hyrule to me!!
See I told you he wouldn't kill Link. All he wanted was the Triforce of Courage, and despite the Ocarina of Time stating that anyone having the complete Triforce will have the power to govern all, all Ganondorf wanted was Hyrule. What was the big deal? Then the King has to come in and ruin his plans. Heck the King could have wished Ganondorf to be dead if that is what he desired, but instead the King just wishes for hope. Hope for the two children, and wished for Hyrule to be buried under the sea, and hoped Ganondorf would drown with it. Ah look kids, looks like Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule's been smokin' crack again. Now look what they did to him. They have now made Ganondorf go insane. He laughs for a real long time, despite that everything around him is coming to an end, and decides to end it once and for all and kill the two children. Wait did I just insinuate that Ganondorf was going to try and murder them......uh nevermind that.
So Link and Zelda start fighting Ganondorf, and after taking all of the hits from Light Arrows and Master Sword swipes he can, he smacks Zelda down. Wait a minute, he just smacked Zelda down! HE SMACKED ZELDA DOWN! The person whose name is in every title of a Legend of Zelda game. Alright enough is enough, I have took up for this guy long enough. Link impale that bastard.
"Ughnn, heh, heh...The wind...it is blowing."
Good job Link!
In all seriousness though I really think he got what he deserved and Mario Jr. I hope you didn't take any offense to it, because I only really wrote it for a laugh. Once you guys get to know me, you'll find out that I am a joking person, and that might goof off from time to time, but I can talk serious if need to be.
