I pick Zelda because she's not only a sage, but she can, obviously, take pretty good care of herself. I mean, she survived for seven years in OoT without Link around to take care of her. Malon looked a little beaten and sickly after the seven years. Plus...she's just a farmgirl. Link needs more excitement!

The reason I pick Malon is cuz she obviously has a crush on Link.

Well yeah, but that doesn't mean that she's the right woman for him because she has an obvious crush. Plus, I think that's just her personality to be giggly and stuff.

I voted Malon, though, b/c OoT is the coolest Link IMO...

Aye, I do believe every month or so this thread comes up in some fashion. Anywho Im also with the ideal of OoT Link being a loner. But if I really had to choose it would be Malon, must be because the whole free milk and beef is a good plan.

Saria should just be a friend, she can't ever leave the forest. Naburoo is too old and ugly, so I choose either Zelda or Malon.

Seeing as this poll only includes OoT charactes I would say that no one is suitable for Link. He doesn't belong in the forest, so that eliminates Saria. There is too much of an age gap for it to be Nabooru. Ruto and Malon drool over Link which I think scares him off a little and Zelda is royalty so she couldn't get involved with some kid who grew up in the forest and has no family. The only person Link could be interested in is Navi (although I don't know why or how) because he goes after her on his own in MM.

I've said this many times before, the only suggestion of a romance that I have ever seen in a Zelda game that I've completed is LA with Marin.

Edit: I just read the article Husse pointed towards and it offers an interesting argument for Malon as Link's romantic interest. I still stand by my statement that Malon and Link are not a possibility, however I do think that Malon's character type is what Link is attracted to.

I think Ruto is the best... She´s beautiful, and she loves Link... Have you seen her when she´s adult...Hmmmm!!!!! she´s so, so nudi... charming, yes. :D

:blink: But surely we all remember the ending of OoT when Zelda looked so forlorn about sending him back into the past and she placed her hand on his... It was so sweet. Oh well...I just don't see him with Malon, even after reading Husse's article but that's just my humble opinion.

That just meant that they cared about each other. There were no gainful looks at eachother, and from what we know of Link's future at the end and near MM, well, they probly DIDN'T marry, and there's a good theory revolving that that could be INCEST! Not that I believe that theory anymore, but it's actually possible. Wouldn't it be nice if Miyamoto would tell us!

Well I chose Zelda. It might be a bit narrow-minded but I have always depicted Zelda and Link together.

And, just a question: Do you think there will be any love relations in Zelda 2005? Over the years, especially in WW, they've slowly developed love relations. Since he's an adult...could this be the apocalypse!?

EDIT: Since I feel like bursting bubbles, here's a look on why that classic "in the clouds" scene in OoT means no more than the meaningful parting of Link and Saria did in the way of future love...just IMO. I really like this Trahald guy, agree with almost all his articles!
