It's not a cookie unless it's got chocolate chips in it! Chips as in chips, not crisps. Or fries.

Just ordiary vinegar? Just go to a fish and chip shop, and ask for a portion of chips with salt and vinegar. They'll do it for you.

None at all? Every town and city should have at least one fish and chip shop...

Maybe there's a niche market here to exploit!

Pfft.. silly Americans. If you had only called your French Fries, chips, you wouldn't have had to rename them Freedom Fries.

The origin of the name 'French fry' is from the word 'pomme frites' meaning fried potatoes in French...according to what I read, 'frites' spread in the US...and I guess frites sounds like fries..and being from France....

"french fries"

Fun trivia involving Freedom Fries:

Back in the WWII days, sauerkraut was renamed "Liberty Cabbage" just to show the Germans what we think of their foreign food (also, Bratwurst = Liberty Sausage).
I just hope that next time, we decide to be a little more collective honest and use Jingo as the prefix.

Who does that?
