Title: Sagas
Original: Yes
Genre: superhero/sci-fi/fantasy
Setting: A world that resembles our Earth called Orbis. It is the turn of the century in the modern day. All over the world normal people are enjoying their every day lives. The company known as Eden Corp have spent the past thirty years constructing cities all over the planet to help house the ever-growing population. Unknown to anyone, though, is Eden Corp.'s true intentions with these cities: their residents are lab rats, oblivious to experiments done on them by Eden Corp., who are trying to take the lead in the fields of science and weaponry.

Born from these experiments are people who look like we do, who behave like we do, but they are stronger, faster, and armed with special abilities. They must make the choice to rise up and use these abilities or repress them and try to live normal lives, or to use these powers for good or for evil.

Basically it's like a mix between Resident Evil and Superhero comics/media, sans the zombies. There are seven cities that the entire story revolves around:

New Justice, Carimea. Carimea is Orbis's version of America, and New Justice reflects the likes of LA and New York. the crime rate here is steady, daily reports of robberies and murder. It takes it's toll on the citizens here, as they feel that there is not much hope that their situations can be improved.

Hirosaki, Kantolan. Similiar to Japan, Kantolan is almost a futuristic city, as it has the latest in technologies. In Hirosaki, Eden Corp. could use this as their advantage.

Kestchel, Von Bierland. Kestchel, while not as advanced, is a very cultural city reminiscent of a province you may find in Germany, complete with beautiful countryside and castles. Eden Corp. built this city to try to capture the feel of small town Kestchel.

Winston, Queensland. Queensland is one of the oldest countries in Orbis. It has a refined culture and is highly civilized. Queensland has always, though, been in constant danger due to it's unpopularity amongst small paramilitary groups that resist it's monarchist rule. Winston is a city that is a clash between the Old World and the New, and reflects that in it's architecture.

Les Chantz,Villeoux. A beautiful city in Villeoux. The Main Headquarters of Eden Corp. is established here, and Eden Corp. has littered the city with remnants of the old world, complete with museums and sculptures. It is also slightly more advanced in terms of technology and benefits to it's citizens.

Xenoa, Lativus. This city was actually built upon ancient ruins, which are kept maintained throughout the city's main design. Xenoa was long ago the site of several Wars between it and surrounding provinces. Today, it serves mostly the corrupt and the villanous, as it's city plan is host to many underground caverns and dark spaces.

Fyodoresk, Uskejetsky. This is a smaller country that borders the larger Napolvsk. It was formerly a country used heavily in the Silent War by both the Queenslanders and the Napolvsk to spy on each other. Today it houses the OA, the Orbis Assembly, which is the unified body of countries.

Somehow, in some way, Eden Corp. has tightened it's hold on these cities, and done things that no one can imagine to it's citizens. But all over the world, those lives that Eden Corp. has destroyed with their secret experimentations are awakening to new lives as supermen and women, using their abilities to help save the world or take advantage of it's weaknesses.

The main story has to deal with these peoples who were subject to Eden Corp's experiments, who have gained superpowers. Those they oppose are Eden Corp. (but of course, none of them should know that Eden Corp. is behind all of this at the beginning) and each other (should their ideas conflict).

Looking good so far. The only question I have when I read this about the world is how powerful these metahumans are. Are we talking The Incredible Hulk style power levels or Jean Grey/Phoenix power levels?

Otherwise, you're fine. Get two or three people to RP with you and you'll be set. I'll probably be in once I have time to come up with an interesting character.

Approval Placeholder.

Well we're not talking Dark Phoenix Saga power, that'd just be unfair. In this world everyone has different powers but their powers have the same constructive/destructive force. If applied correctly of course, one could overtake the other, but no Meta (as we'll call them) can possibly be more powerful than the other. Just more clever.

I find this RP relevant to my interests, and would gladly support it with a character of my own. Once I have access to something besides my Wii, I'll gladly post one up.

I'll think up a fellow, but a few questions:

1) Do they all have to gain their powers directly from an Eden corp experiment, or could they accidentally buy a blackmarketed Eden weapon (think Power Morpher) from an internet auction?

2) Are we looking directly at a control/manipulation set of powers ala Magneto, Human Torch and Storm, or a theme based soldier, ala the Weapon X type guys, Spiderman and the like?

3) How much room is there in this universe for silliness? Conversely, how edgy are we looking at? Would CAPTAIN RAINBOW be completely unwelcome, merely out of place or par for the course?
