Original Storyline

Does anyone know much about the original storyline? I do know that there was originally going to be a wind temple and a light temple. There was also going to be an ice temple, which shrunk into the rediculously small and unchallenging Ice cavern. Also, do any of you remember the promotional video of getting the triforce in OOT? That originally was going to happen at the end of the Wind temple (which was cut). Whenever you watch that video, you're seeing a beta dungeon! How cool is that!?

One big thing I noticed while looking at beta screenshots was that there was no ocarina. Originally, you equipped the medallions, and warped places with them.

Hm. Good point. It's always interesting to see these concept sketches, if you will. I'm very glad Link didn't get the Triforce, though! It would've been much more awesome if the only stunning glow of Tri-power came from WW, lest it be overrated. Yes, I remember ALttP too, but that seemed a little different...not as climactic.

Those Triforce shots were just beta, I don't believe it was an entirely different story. The programmers would have to re-construct [img]http://forums.legendsalliance.com/public/ALOT.png[/img] of things and Im sure they wouldnt like to do that..

They shouldn't have changed it, the beta version was cooler :sleep: .

No. it really wasn't. Do you want to play a brunette link? >.< and lots of areas were just plain screwed up even when they were completed. The medallion thing would take away the miniscule ocarina minigame, the timelines would of been seriously screwed up...need I go on?

the stuff with brown-haired (LoZ/AoL) link was just to test the engine, and actually it'd be cool to have a 3d version of NES zeldas.
and yes, i love brown-haired link.. and i miss him... blondes are.. umm.. you know..

Yeah, the "beta dungeon" was modeled after the first dungeon from The Hyrule Fantasy, which is why Link gets (a piece of) the Triforce at the end of it. Also, the reason you see Adult Link fighting Gohma was because, early in the game's development, there was no such thing as Child Link.

i think i saw it on tv and was disappointed at not all of it being in the finished game. ^_^

same for windwaker, his outfit was changed slightly.. i missed the brown sleeves.
