It's great. I'm so excited about this game already. I won't spoil too much for you.
I got on the subway, unwrapped the game as quickly as I good and turned on my Gameboy. People were curiously observing me. The oldschool Zelda atmosphere is all over the place. You start out in bed, like in alttp, and also, like in that game, you're awakened because of princess Zelda. Zelda is your childhood friend here, and she wants Link to join her for visiting the Picori festival in Hyrule town. You're charged with delivering the sword to the minister. The town is nice, the festival, the music. It's party time! Zelda wants to see everything at once and runs from place to place.
The sword you carry is the sword that will be awarded to the winner of the swordfightcontest. Link stays for the ceremony, in which the winner can touch the sacred Picori sword. This ancient sword holds evil inside a chest. Vaati, the winner of the contest, was only interested in this sword. Or more, what's in the chest. He breaks the sword with his dark magic, and unleashes the evil that is within the chest. He finds nothing in there but the evil that's now out in the world. He recognises Zelda, the power of her light, and because Vaati expects that Zelda will be a pain in the ass, he turns her to stone. Link is knocked unconscious.
When you wake up, the people of Hyrule Castle ask Link to go to the Minish Woods and find the Minish people, who were thought to be no more than a fairy tale by most people, except the Hyrule royal family. They know that only kids can see the Minish folk. Link must go and ask them to recharge the sword. Link is handed the broken Picori sword and the sword of the smith, and off he goes. Ah! Hyrule castle music theme! What a joy to my ears as I sit in the train, totally absorbed by the game. Monsters are all over the place now, so I slashed down my first Chuchu Jelly.

On my way to the Minish Woods I observe a sign saying "Lake Hylia" that way. Guess some things never change. I pass Lon Lon Ranch on by. Finally, the woods. It's more cheerful than the Lost Woods somehow. Maybe it's the new theme for these woods. There are undeep puddles everywhere. Now where is that shrine I was supposed to find. What was that? A cry for help? I rush off to see what is happening. It's...a talking hat, under fire. I rescue the mysterious hatcreature by hasing the monsters to dust. Well. This hat, I must say, is a b*tch. Not a very pleasant company. And it won't stop talking. It even jumped on my head when it thought I was walking to fast. Why was it able to convince that he was on his way to the Minish folk as well? Heh, well, it might come in handy. He can shrink me to the size of....well....Minish folk, which I need, according to the hat.
We shrink. Leafs get bigger, and the puddles that I walked through are suddenly lakes that I cannot pass. Acorns are thrice my size. I walk the forest floor, but now I can see it in detail as I approach the town of the Minish people. The Minish people are a bit afraid, cause they haven't dealt with humans in a looooooong time. Now if only they could understand me!
What....is it time to leave the subway already?
