I've finally completed it!

So, this thread isn't to discuss whether or not it's canon. Instead, we'll see what conclusions could be reached if it were canon. If you don't think it is, just view this as an intellectual exercise!

Firstly, links to the Oracles games. It's certainly possible that the crew of Stalfos pirates could be the same as the one from OoX; Stalfos being skeletons you'd imagine them to live for a long time. The main question is probably whether the Salona are Subrosians or not. If so, this gives us a backstory for the Subrosians (the same as that for the Salona); and that in itself has interesting implications... The Salona are a race of people who were cursed by a demon for helping the ancient hero; they "acted as the hero's shadow" to be precise. They also have a story that a man wielding a mighty sword once visited their land, and that he could have been the reincarnation of the ancient hero. Acted as the hero's shadow... Sheikah? Midna? Being a race of people, Sheikah might be more likely. If so, FPTRR gives evidence that the Sheikah were cursed and became the Subrosians/Salona... Well, it's a possibility, anyway.

Possible MM links: I've only beaten Baron with Teddy Todo, but he says that there was a mask craftsman (presumably his father) who created a mask of the God of War (Baron) and went to war when his son didn't return fromt the war, shedding tears as he killed his enemies. Such a powerful mask; could he have had a hand in creating Majora's Mask? It's only a tenuous link, really. We also have several bodyguards being members of a certain secret society made of of nursery school students. Could this be a reference to the Bombers?

OoT/TWW links; the Deku Tree, being the main one.

Then there are obvious geographical links to games; Lon-Lon Meadow, Deku Forest, Mount Desma... Split into three continents, each consisting of large islands close enough to one another to be bridged. Could this be the result of smaller islands joining up to form larger ones a la Wind Waker Deku Tree's plan?

Any other thoughts?

I think it's reading a bit too much into it to say that this is a "Deku Tree continent" support. It's an interesting idea, but it's really up there in fan theory territory. We'll have to see how much credence ST gives it. The Stalfos pirates is an interesting idea, however.

This is from my wiki on Baron:

Baron is a fierce red monster that lives in a hole near the summit of Mount Desma. When Tingle drops into the hole, Baron calls down to him and tells him to leave quickly. If Tingle remains to fight, the monster will reluctantly appear and attack, challenging Tingle to kill him before the dust from their battle has settled. Tingle himself and bodyguards from the salons are incapable of killing Baron before the clouds fade; the only ones who stand a chance are the drifter bodyguards. The three drifters are all capable of defeating Baron, and each tells a small portion of the demon's story after he is killed.

Ronny informs Tingle that Baron was once Bamo, the god of war. Bamo had a younger brother named Aron who was killed by humans in order to take the land the brothers lived on. Enraged and seeking revenge, Bamo went underground and used the mask of a demon to give himself new strength.

Yamori adds to this story by revealing that Bamo, now known as Baron, became a drifter bodyguard. Baron was merciless and deadly, killing all those who met him in battle. When the families of those victims began to seek him out, Baron went into hiding at Mount Desma, using the demon mask to disguise his identity.

Teddy Todo finishes the tale by revealing that his father was one of those killed by Baron. Teddy Todo had been seeking the Mini Death Bug Chrysalis not simply to follow in Ronny's path, but also to seek revenge upon the beast. If Teddy Todo is the one to kill Baron, he leaves a flower behind in remembrance of his father.
When Baron is killed, he leaves behind the Demon Mask he had used to give himself strength. Whichever drifter was used to kill Baron will offer to buy the mask so as to give the monster a proper burial. Ronny gives Tingle 23,000 rupees, Yamori pays 20,000 rupees, and Teddy Todo will only give 18,000 rupees.

And yeah, those are the same conclusions I've reached from playing it.

Tingle is really, really, really crazy and making it up as he goes along, but it's canonical in that it's one of his crazy fairy stories he's telling Link to explain why Link should give him Rupees/Force Gems/Kinstones.

I personally subscribe to the theory that the Windfish never woke up and that nothing is canon after "A Link to the Past".

So my timeline is: Legend of Zelda > The Adventure of Link > A Link to the Past

PROVE ME WRONG

The box says it's a game, so it never happened. Everyone loses.

I declare FPTRR to be the only canonic game. End of discussion.

No. The cartoon series is the only canon source. Everything else is a dream that Link has before he wakes up in that first episode.

No, the CD-i games are the only canon games. It's the only logical explanation for why everyone I know in RL thinks Zelda sucks.

You haven't considered that they're merely soulless automatons that are merely pretending a human unlife, and thus you must kill them, kill them, KILL THEM, KILL THEEEEM to end their insidious incursion?

Yes but some of them are actually friends and family that I love... Despite their fault. :/

Don't be fooled! They do not feel love! They only imitate human emotions in order to get at you, like fucking Skrulls.
