Believe it or not, Wikipedia happens to get practically everything right in the sciences. Only on very few occasions have I seen it falter. Most of us in academia use it as a reference frequently, although we find real sources when we actually cite something.

By the way, Egann, your AA stumps me. What does that one stand for?

Woah guys, I'm not a doctor (of philosophy) just yet! It's still another three years to go. I was just indicating that I don't have a master's degree. When it happens, I promise to change my user name to "dr. arunma" or something of that nature.

You'd think so.Erm... surely, a Bachelor of Science degree abbreviates to BSc?
As I said, it sounds about right.I'm glad you clarified "Bachelor of Science," because I wasn't sure whether I should take it that way or some other, much more amusing way. XD

It has been my experience that those with a decent PhD in science rarely ever refer to themselves as Doctor and rarely bring anyone's attention to their title. The ones who do are usually the ones with really poor degrees or bought degrees, plus those with high insecruity issues.
I'm predicting we won't see a change in your username at all.
Seriously! "arunma, PhD" has a nice ring to it.
Much more commanding than "wisp, BA" (and I expect the BA would probably just garner nicknames like "Boobie Administrator"

I'm Veteran, BSc. I've never heard of it used as 'BS'.You'd think so.Erm... surely, a Bachelor of Science degree abbreviates to BSc?

That's what we call it over here, BS. For instance, I have a BA in Anthropology, but if I'd taken a few different classes it would have been a BS (for instance, if I'd chosen to go for Archaeology or Physical Anthropology, instead of Cultural as my emphasis. Literally so few different courses between them that I could have counted them on one hand). I admit that BSc might be a little more..professional. >.>;;I'm Veteran, BSc. I've never heard of it used as 'BS'.
I've already been thinking the same thing. Everybody make sure their towels are handy! So just wondering, has anyone considered how Betelgeuse going supernova might affect the life of Ford Prefect?

Nah, you're the boobie grabber... I'm the one who actually possesses the boobies which are being administered. OK, so I'm going to a real university, and I'm not buying my degree. But how do you know that I don't have insecurity issues?Seriously! "arunma, PhD" has a nice ring to it.

Shouldn't I be the boobie administrator?

I thought Steel was in this category as well....I'm the one who actually possesses the boobies which are being administered. XD
