I was just playing OOT last night and I noticed that the kokiri sword looks a lot like the Four Sword. I then compared TMC's map to OOT's map and the kokiri forect and the Minish woods match up when you align Death Mountain/Mt. Crenal. I think now that there might be a connection between the minish and the kokiri. What do you guys think?

Doubtful, their races in general don't seem to have a whole lot in common, at least that I've noticed.

Absolutely nothing other than they're both humanoid beings that live in the forest (though the Minish can live in mountains and in people's houses). They're no more the same than Kokiri are Deku Scrubs.

Though I agree there's simmilarities between the the Kokiri Sword and the Picori Sword. Even similarities in the names Kokiri and Picori. I don't think that's enough to justify a connection. Just another example of Capcom recyclying things from the Zelda mythos and putting a different spin on it. If TMC is truly first I think if anything, the Kokiri based they're culture off both the Picori and the Link in TMC. Maybe it really is the story of the origin of Link's trademark green cap if the Kokiri got the idea for their caps from Ezlo's hat form.

But no. TWW reveals that the Kokiri are really plant people. The Picori are just tiny elf like craetures that remind me of wingless pixies or something. The Picori probably have more in common with the Kokiris' fairy guardians.

I like to imagine that the races might of known each other and got along, due to both being fae races, and the Minish have an affinity for children, etc., so they might've been friends. I don't imagine they collaborated or anything, though.

That doesn't really prove anything, though. I mean, multiple species can live in the same forest...

But no. TWW reveals that the Kokiri are really plant people.

But OoT reveals they're really Hylian children looking people.

I mean, they can take multiple forms; they're fairy children. No one form is more "true" than another. Hence, presumably, ganonlord's theory; what if the Kokiri/Koroks once took Minish form? But I think they're still seperate races; the Minish come from a different world, after all, whilst the Kokiri are the children of the Great Deku Tree.

Oh, I was under the impression that the Koroks were their true form but I guess you're right. I still think they;'re seperate from the Picori though they probably intermingled.

The Picori aren't dependant on the Deku Tree, and a good number don't even live in the forest. The two being the same species can be discarded.
