This is the place to post songs you just recently discovered and want to share with the world! It doesn't matter if the song is 10 years old or just 10 minutes - if it's new to you, share it here.

Digging these frosty beats.

Recently got a more intimate listen with a band known as the Hold Steady and their album Stay Positive. Every time I hear one song, I end up just listening to the album again.

...I thought this would be a thread about musicals. D=

Anyway. My mom bought the soundtrack for the new Fame movie for my sister and herself, and I've been addicted to it far more than either of them. The best track:

. . . Folk, bitches.

Just got back from seeing her, actually. Not only is she a good singer, but she is damn pretty in person. Prettier than in the video.

Oh man, she played at Bon Amici Cafe a few months ago and I forgot to see her. Surprisingly, I really like her stuff.

Well, not surprising, really, I like all music...

But yeah, good call. I would give her a dollar without question XD

When I went to see Streetlight Manifesto the other day, I got to see their openers Broadway Calls and Outernational.

Broadway Calls I don't think brought anything new to the table, it sounded like music I've already heard before.

Outernational was a little better. They started off good for the first couple of songs but then got pretty lame in the middle. They managed to redeem themselves by the end, their last songs by far their best.

Of course, both paled in comparison to Streetlight. What was a standing audience became a sea of moshing and jumping. Magnificent.

I'm surprised that I just discovered this song it's so great:

Though, there's still the 1984 version. I'm debating which I like better:

I recently discovered the awesomeness of Mitch Benn. Here's a little bit of explaining behind the strangeness of his song:

The Devil And A Hard Place

Another one which needs a bit of explaining; I was driving along listening to Radio 4 like the loyal company man I am, when they broadcast a trailer for a forthcoming documentary on global warming, which ended with the voice of some expert or other warning us in grave tones that if we didn't do something to address the problem soon, "we could be standing on the precipice of a runaway train". Now I've heard some bad mixed metaphors in my time, but this one nearly made me swerve off the road. I wrote this for The Now Show as soon as I got where I was going.

Ah, I love The White Stripes. Jack White is a beast. He's also in like 3 different bands now.

One of them: The Raconteurs
