I have LOZ:CE and I was wondering if I should still buy the Classic NES versions of the first two Zelda games anyway? I think it would be cool to have it if I go on a trip or just to have a copy of each of those games by themselves. I'd like suggestions on whether I should or not. Thanks in advance.

Were I you, I would. But then again, I'm an obsessed collector. I now have three versions of each NES game.

If all you want is to play them, don't bother.

Well, I'm not an obsessed collector but, as I said earlier, I thought it would be cool to have actual copies of the two games instead of just a compilation that includes them. Also, I go on of trips and it seems like these games would be fun to play on the road.

Yeah, I know. I was lucky enough to be in need of a NP resubscription right around that time.

it's a ligit reason to buy them for travel purposes. If you've got the cash to burn, go for it.

Man, it took me FOREVER to get what you were asking. I think you mean the GBA versions. I kept wondering how you would manage playing an old NES system on the road. I, myself, wouldn't bother. I'd rather buy GBA games I haven't played.

Well as soon as I read the title to this topic I was going to reply: "HELL YEAH, these games are awesome!" but seeing that you have the collector's edition, it's really up to you. If you want them for collection purposes, that is cool. Do you have a NES?

I did and it had LOZ and AOL but I already have too many game systems hooked up to the various TVs around my house so I gave it to my sister to put in her room.

In releasing two dated NES games on seperate GBA carts Nintendo is laughing in the consumer's face. I'd tell you that I got my copy of Classic NES tLoZ through less than legitimate means, but I'd be implicating myself.

So don't buy them, no.

Because it's NES!

Asking £15 for a game which came out 18 years ago is ridiculous.

When those games were new, they cost as much new games do now, so I think these GBA versions are pretty cheap. Despite the technology being outdated, they are still awesome games, and this gives a whole new generation of gamers a chance to play them. I remember ages ago when lots of people thought Zelda 1 was OoT, and Zelda 2 was MM.
