We all know how changes in society, over the years, can change the structure of a major building. For example, the White House in the US was built, then destroyed, then rebuilt and added onto throughout history. As we look at the various Hyrule Castles throughout the series, we notice that its structure changes, often times drastically throughout the history of Hyrule. It is a large part in the geography of Hyrule, which must be considered when making a timeline.

It is interesting to see how similar the castle in OT is to the Castle in the Oracle duology. It is also perplexes me to see the Hyrule Castle in WW so eerily similar to that of the FSA Hyrule Castle, since MC and FS have to go between the two. We never really see a full view of the outside of Hyrule Castle in MC, so we can assume they match up. However, there may be (depending on your theories of the timeline) many stories in between WW and FSA or even between WW and MC. In a screenshot of Spirit Tracks, you may notice that the castle differs greatly from each game. Where to put the stories based on all of the things that must be accounted for can be tough choice in many situations.
