See, this is why I don't want to visit foreign countries; you have poisonous animals. We have adders, but they're pretty timid and easily avoidable and won't likely kill you. But black widows? Rattlesnakes? Ugh. My Mum used to live in Australia; she says once her sister was leaning on the bus stop when they noticed her hand was about an inch from a redback.

Now, I like bunny rabbits, I like frogs. I like pussy cats and I like dogs. Talking to a tiger is like falling off a log; being friendly to the animals is easy. I've a couple of hamsters in the garden shed, one's called Sebastian, the other's called Fred. I've even got a teddy bear I take to bed. Being friendly to the animals is easy. But a spider in the bath!? A spider in the bath? A creepy crawly, creepy crawly spider in the bath? I know he's only there because he wants to have a laugh, with hairy legs and beady eyes that terrify and tantalise...

I hate spiders too. About a week ago I found a MASSIVE dead one in my bathroom, if it had been alive it would have walked like a man, I tried to squish it out of sight with a broom but it was too big to be squished, and I had just made it into a scarier position, so I left the broom in front of it so I didn't have to look while I took my baths, and its still there now..

I'm a dlligent spider killer, the thought that such a big one was living unbeknownst to me freaked me out for days.

There's one down by my computer. He's been there for a while now, just to my left; I'm just ignoring him mostly. It does mean I can't use the CD drives.

Have either of you ladies ever watched Arachnophobia? That movie has creepies and crawlies in it like nobody's business! I scarred me as a child! Now I too suffer from the same ailment as you.

My name is Stew and I've been a wuss for twelve years..

Although you damned Americans shipped a Black Widow up to the Great White North along with some Grapes. These particular grapes happened to be the ones I had to unpack. Luckily it came crawling out of the opposite side of the box, giving me enough time to tell one guy to watch it while I grabbed the guy in charge because I'm wasn't paid enough to deal with that crap!

The world's deadliest spider occasionally makes trips to your local grocery store, hiding in the bananas.

:o

There are, sometimes, bananas that are covered with hundreds of little tiny tiny spiders.

"A bite from a Brazillian Wandering Spider can result in endless, painful erections. This may sound funny at first, but it can end up totally destroying someones sex-life for the rest of their life."

Dude. Lena is going to keep me up for nights, now.

And not in a good way!

No deadly ones, no. But we DO have hobo spiders, and those will give you a very painful bite that might kill some of your skin and leave a huge abscess!

edit: I've also heard about some fucking huge thing that lives in the rainforest here, but can't find any info on it, so I might be confused.

Eww it's so gross they like love my boyfriends front porch so around spider season (which is apparently coming because they've shown up) there's just like ten all in a row hanging from the roof of his house over the door.. it's disgusting. At Halloween you don't even need to decorate.. :( *shivers*

Sorry, Rhia. Lives near your place too.

Big spiders.

Scurrying across the floor late at night.

Hiding in your shoes.

Hiding in blankets.

Fast.

Venomous.

Capable of causing necrotic lesions.

They're here. I see at least 10 a year! o____o

Actually, Stalfos' spiders look kind of cute with their big eyes and little baby spiders.
