Nintendo VIP information, and I was thinking, maybe some of you don't have it....

The first item which crosses Link's path is the minish cap (duh). This living creature named Ezlo posseses the power of shrinking people to the size of the minish people, friendly forest inhabitants who are very small. In the minish size Link can enter many areas that he could not enter in his normal size, like Minish Village. Swallowing the Jabber Nut helps Link speak and understand Minish.
The Gust Jar looks like your regular piece of pottery. But it's some kind of Kirby, it can suck up stuff and then use it as a projectile. You can also vacuum dust and spiderwebs with it, to uncover items and pathways.
The Four Sword makes an appearance in this title as well. So Link can split up in four Links again to solve puzzles. Furthermore, Nintendo promises us a lot of old items returning.

:)

They're called the Mole Mitts, apparently. Yes, for tunnelling.

The game also features an item called the Ocarina of Wind, which serves the exact same purpose as the Flute from ALttP.

Since I now own the game, I can tell you a bit more about items...

It's not actually the four sword, it would seem - it's actually the "White Sword" with some of the elements you need to collect infused into it. The White Sword is what the Picori Sword is called once you get it reforged, but without all the elements. The first sword you get is the Smith's Sword, which your grandfather made.

I'm not actually sure that Ezlo is the Minish Cap, as I've just learned
Spoiler : click to show/hide
that Ezlo was once a Minish who created a magical cap that could grant wishes, and Vaati, his apprentice, also a Minish, took. It is this cap that gives Vaati his powers.

You also get empty bottles, bombs, bow and arrows, shield, the Cane of Pacci (flips things over), Rocs cape, Flame lantern, Pegasus boots and the boomerang.
