One of the comments left on the vid is priceless.

It never even crossed my mind back in the 80's when I was a kid that this advert was racist - who cares anyway!
This was the 1980's things were better back then

(Commenter goes on to talk about how awesome Kia Ora was, but it reads pretty awkward at first XD)

Go back and watch some old cartoons from before the 90's.... it's awesome how many jokes there are that wouldn't fly today. My favorites are just about anything with Foghorn Leghorn ("There's something kind of 'eee-yew' about a boy who doesn't like baseball." "Say, boy, you cover about as much as a flapper skirt in a high wind." )

I saw that last one when I was a kid. Racist looney toons are terrible, but then again, racism is laughable (also idiotic).
