The land was rocky and barren, the air was arid. Jordan looked around to discover several mountains and trees surrounding him. This wasn't the Forsaken Fortress.

"Where the hell am I?" He asked himself, gazing at the unfamiliar landscape surrounding him. Steel's magic transport was supposed to taken everyone to the Forsaken Fortress, so why was he here? It appeared that he was the only one who arrived at this place, the others must be back at the fortress.

"You've got to be kidding me!" He shouted, his voice producing an echo that could be heard a mile away.

He was on a rough looking mountain, the ground looked like mostly rocks and dry earth. Jordan looked around him to find a small trail that appeared to be going up towards the mountain's summit. Were there people living in this place?

"Great, now I have to hike." He muttered to himself as he headed on the small mountain path towards the summit. The ground was hard to walk on, every step felt like walking on a loose board bound to break. The trees were becoming scarcer as he trekked on and as a result, the sun began to beat down fiercely on Jordan. His armor, a green colored chestplate with a single shoulder guard and two arm bracers along with his two glaives were feeling rather heavy on his body. It feel like the closer he came to the sun, the more likely he would melt but if he managed to get high enough then he would be able to jump to the summit with the aid of wind manipulation.

An hour later, there were no longer and trees and no longer any cover from the sun. He couldn't say out in the heat like this or else he would die of heat exhaustion. Jordan followed the path to the very end, an outlook that provided quite the scenic view. It was being shaded by a part of the mountain, a perfect place to rest. He moved quickly to get out of the sun and looked on to see where exactly he was. There was nothing but mountains in sight. Jordan collapsed, tired of hiking and more thirsty than he had ever been in his life. He turned around to the opposite side of the mountain, unable to look at the mountains anymore. There was something that Jordan did not expect. There they stood, four peaks that looked like Eagle's Talons.

Was it some sort of natural formation or made by man? Before Jordan could deduce whatever it was that created the sight, everything went black.

OoC: I'm filling the Eagle's Talons quest and creating a filler story. Will post regularly enough to end the story before Selena begins the continuation of "Unholy Union".

Jordan's body felt overheated, as if he had some sort a fever. Everything was dark, his eyes slowly regained their sight, showing what appeared to be a dark cave with a campfire burning bright as it illuminated the closed surroundings. He rushed out of the make shift bed he was laying in and got to his feet. He noticed that his armor and his weapons had been misplaced, the only thing he was wearing was cotton tunic and his pants.

"So, you're awake." a voice echoed from the other side of the campfire. A man sat by the side of the stone wall, revealed by the light of the fire. He wore a long cloak over his body, covering a tattered leather robe and leggings. He wore sandals over his feet, which seemed odd because of all the rocks. His hair appeared grey in the light, but it may have been black or brown. But the most distinguished feature he had was the cloth rapped around his eyes.

"I found you unconscious on the mountain peaks. A dangerous place to lay your head stranger."

"Where am I?" Jordan asked as he looked around himself, taking in his surroundings.

"In a cave I presume." The man responded.

"Well that's obvious. I'm talking about where I am in accordance to . . . I don't know . . . a map or chart?" Jordan asked.

"Map? Chart? I see, so you hail from lands beyond the sea stranger. The people of these lands use not maps nor charts, but the stars to guide them."

"I see, well that doesn't help me much." Jordan said, disappointed that the first person he met since coming here was a crazy hermit who lived in a cave.

"Might I ask your name mister?" Jordan asked.

"I am Tiresias, the seer." He replied.

"Have you come to this place for the Eagle's Talons?"

"Eagles Talons? I'm afraid I don't know what. . . wait, the structure I saw from the mountain?"

"Yes. Men from far away came to this place too, men with maps and charts who wished to explore these dangerous lands. They were doomed to fail."

"What happened?" Jordan asked as he took a seat by the fire.

"The people of these lands were once one with the mountains, the guardian of the sky watching them from far above. But a terrible evil has come upon them, they are not the people they once were. They no longer accept the protection of the sky guardian and have begun to follow the wicked beast. The Eagle's Talons, a place to honor the sky guardian have now been reduced to a fiendish site of brutal murder and sacrifice."

"How do you know all this?" Jordan asked, curious about the actual truth behind the man's words.

"I've foreseen their actions and hid myself here before the wicked one came."

"Why did you help me?" Jordan asked.

"Because you are a dragoon."

"Come again? A what?"

"A lancer warrior who can ride the wind like a winged dragon. Your armor and weapons are proof of who you are."

Jordan, reminded of his missing possessions, got up and looked for his things.

"Your possessions are next to your bed Dragoon." The man said, pointing at the items in question. Jordan looked over and gave a sigh of relief.

"Listen, I don't know why I am here or why you insist on calling me a 'dragoon' or whatever, I just want to get back to where I belong." Jordan said, grabbing one of his bracers.

"And where would that be? The fortress in the ocean or the windy grass plains surrounded by mountains?"

Jordan stopped what he was doing. Two. Two key phrases that indicated he knew something. Jordan turned around to the man.

"How do you-"

"All will be explained in due time Dragoon. I will aid you in returning to where it is you wish to go, but I must ask you to go to the Eagle's Talons to slay the wicked beast. His evil will spread throughout these lands if unchecked and many lives will be claimed if the future remains as it is in my visions. You and the small one are the only ones that can bring the Sky Guardian back to these lands, for you are the only ones who slay the wicked beast."

"Small one?" Jordan asked.

"Aah!" cried out Leo as he fell in the air. Landing hard, he groaned as he got up and looked around. What.... he thought groggily. Getting up, he made sure he still had his axe and knife. Examining his surroundings, Leo deduced he was in a deserted place. Since it was all rocky and dry, nobody had ever come here. "Great....I'm gonna have to find a way to get back." Staggering, he began to move in the direction of the mountain. Then he saw it. 4 peaks, forming an Eagle's Talons. "Whoa....maybe I'll find something in there." he mumbled. All of a sudden, everything went dark and he fell.

Later, Leo woke up and found himself in a cave with a campfire. Nearby, he saw an old man and...."Jordan? What the hell are you doing here?" he asked in surprise. Then he noticed his weapons were missing. "Who took my stuff?!" he demanded. Then he turned to the old man. "Was it you?!" he shouted.

"Ah, so you are wake also." Tiresias said.

"Leo Crimson?" Jordan said as he looked over to discover the dwarf.

"I found him shortly before you arrived Dragoon." Tiresias added.

"Seriously, stop calling me that. It's getting annoying." Jordan said, giving the seer a dirty look. Although whether or not Tiresias could see this was still uncertain. He appeared to be blind and yet he claimed he could see. He was a strange one indeed.

"Now that we are acquainted better, I suggest you make haste as soon as you are able. I feel the power of the Wicked Beast growing every second we do not act."

"Fine, we'll do just that. But remember your promise to send me and the dwarf back once this is all said and done." Jordan said as he placed his armor on one piece at a time.

An hour past by, the sun had begun to set in the sky and Jordan was over his grogginess. Leo appeared to be doing well also, and prepared quicker than Jordan did. Tiresias explained everything to Leo while Jordan took a breather outside, a cave was no place to socialize. But why was he even here? Where was here? It was obvious that Jordan wasn't being told the whole story but for now he would have to accept the picture for what it was. One thing was certain, there was something out at the Eagle's Talons that had to be dealt with. Leo came out and the two of them were ready to go. Tiresias followed Leo out of the cave, his hand clenching a staff that was most likely a walking stick.

"Follow the markings the other men left behind Dragoon. They will lead you to where you must go." He said as he headed back into his cave.

Jordan looked over to find several red trail makers leading into the mountain. The path was wide and appeared easy to travel. However, if what the seer said was true then things from here would be vicious.

"Let's move out Leo." Jordan said as he started his trek into unknown lands.

Sighing, Leo shouldered his axe and watched the old man leave. "Let's go." Walking, he followed the trail and Jordan. Reaching for a bottle, Leo drank a gulp of water, then replaced it on his belt. While traveling silently, he started up a conversation.

"How did you get into this?" he asked.

(ooc: I might not get on too often that much.)

OoC: Don't sweat it, as long as you can post once a day, we should be able to finish this in no time

"I wish I could say. Last time I checked, I was headed towards the Forsaken Fortress then the next thing I know, I'm in the middle of a mountain range in the middle of bloody nowhere. The Seer might have something to do with all this, I couldn't possibly think of who else it might be." Jordan said, placing his hands in his pockets.

"I assume something like that happened to you as well." Jordan said, his eyes focused on the road ahead. Another trail maker appeared around the bend, along with what appeared to be blood splatter on a stone wall that appeared to have been dry for at least a couple a days. Jordan stopped for a moment, looking at the unsightly decoration on the rocky surface.

"Well, this proves the Seer has told us some truth." Jordan commented. Without another word, the two set off on the path. The Eagle's Talons were coming in view once more along with other blood stains on the mountain path.

"Yeah. Though I wasn't sure what...." responded Leo. He stopped suddenly after seeing multiple blood stains. Following Jordan, he gazed up at the peaks.

"Well, that's a lot. Do you think the Seer was crazy?" asked Leo as he walked on.

"Who can say?" Jordan replied.

The seer's role in this was still a mystery, but he knew far too much about Jordan and Leo. Jordan pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind for now, the Eagle's Talons are what mattered now. The mountain path became more and more narrow as the two progressed into the heart of the land, the ground increasingly more rocky and uneven than before. How much further was this place? Jordan discovered another trail marker, however, this one appeared damaged. It might be the last one on the trail.

The wind began to howl fiercely, something was amiss. That's when Jordan felt it, an immense sensation known well by many as "a killing intent".

"Leo! Prepare yourself, we have guests!" Jordan shouted as he reached back to grab one of his spears.

Something slide down the side of the trail. At first it was a blur, but it resembled a human. The man who came before them had dark skin, suspected to be from the exposure of the sun. He was bare chested and covered in tribal markings. However, his eyes were unnaturally black and he had small horns protruding from his head. Was he a local?

"Who are you?" Jordan asked. The man remained silent, his eyes focused on Jordan. Suddenly, he let out a terrible shriek, revealing his oversized fangs within his mouth. This was no man. He charged at Jordan and Leo, consumed by blood lust.

Readying his axe, Leo leapt out of the way of the man charging towards him. Hefting it, he hurled it and it came back like a boomerang.

"Declare yourself! We will not hesitate to kill you!" he demanded.

OoC: We will just ignore the spam bot. And since this horned man is an NPC enemy, you can take the liberty of controlling him a little.

The horned man smiled, showing his fangs as drool fell down the side of his mouth.

"So, diplomacy won't work here, eh?" Jordan said, reading his spear.

"Then I'll run you through!"

Jordan charged at the horned man, lunging his gliave forward to strike. The horned man leaned back to avoid the blade's reach and grabbed the spearing weapon. Jordan, with his weapon clenched in the vile man's hand, smiled. Although the glaive was not long enough to reach, that didn't mean that the attack missed. Blood began to seep from the shoulder of the horned man, blood of a disturbing black color. The horned man leaped back, clenching his wound in pain. Any weapon wielded by Jordan could have it's range extended by his unique control of wind manipulation, focusing the air around the weapon to become an extension of the blade.

"Don't say I never warned you." He said with a cocky smile.

The horned man, now consumed by rage howled as he went in for the charge. Jordan swung his glaive down, slicing the horned man from his neck to his thigh. It didn't go right through his body, but it was deep enough to render muscle and bone useless. The dark figure fell, a pool of his wretched blood poured onto the barren ground. As Jordan looked at his kill, his mind was riddled with questions.

"What happened to these people?" He asked himself.

"Is this the work of the wicked beast?"

He looked over to the Eagle's Talons. They were not far from their destination.

"Leo, don't hesitate next time. These creatures are no longer men." He said, placing his glaive back on it's sling.

At the base of the southern talon was a large and elaborate opening to some sort of interior, decorated in runes and artwork that had been partially eroded by the winds. Three tall males emerged from within the opening, peering down the trail that led to the small battle that had just taken place. They stared at the disfigured body that the newcomers had slain. Then, finally, as if willed by some outside force, they moved toward the new man and his dwarf.

The three were clad in silver armor, somewhat rusted and worn down from years of use. Their faces were covered by sturdy helmets made of the same material, visors left down for protection. All three carried large green shields emblazoned with a large symbol of a white castle. Large and decorative broadswords were strapped to their backs or were in their hands. The central figure, tallest of the trio, had a tattered green and black cape attached to his mighty shoulders. Upon reaching Jordan and Leo, this central knight raised up his arm.

"Hail," he said, his voice guttural and harsh. His two companions leaned in, certainly looking the pair of visitors over.

The one of the left twitched his head to the side. "I-I didn't think they would find us. It's been so long."

The leading knight lowered his arm in a rigid motion. "Sir Pharos, I am glad to see your face after such a... a horrible ordeal. I thought Lord Jericho had forgotten about us."

ooc: NPCs, of course.

"Pharos? Did you just say Pharos?" Jordan asked, surprised by this turn of events.

Jordan looked at these men, they were quite an impressive sight in their armor. But the emblem on their shields is what caught his attention the most.

"You are knights of the Hall of Heroes. How is that even possible?"

The knights appears slightly confused by Jordan's question

"We were on our way to join our forces against the Labyrinth of Doom and Kakariko Village when we were lost at sea. After several weeks, we landed here in these strange lands and have resigned here ever since. It's good to see you well after all this time Sir Pharos."

"I'm afraid you have made a mistake, I am not the man you think I am." Jordan said.

"Pharos was my ancestor, my name is Jordan of the Whirlwind Spear."

"But how can this be?" One of the knights asked.

"Listen, I don't know the details or have any explanations for you, but I promise to get down to the bottom of this mystery once we find out where Jumbo over there came from." Jordan said, pointing to the dead creature he had slain moments before.

"Very well Sir Jordan. We will aide you in your quest and in return, you shall aide us." The knight said.

"Come, we shall lead you to the heart of these lands."

Were these men who they said they were? They would have had to been alive for hundreds of years, it doesn't seem possible. But that emblem on their shields and that armor could only belong to the Hall of Heroes. It was strange how Jordan's business was once again tied to the events of the past. But there was a foul wind that came with these men, although it was still uncertain what it might be.

Leo was a bit confused. "Wait, so they were expecting your great-grandpa or something?" he asked. then he turned to the knights. Clad in heavy armour and armed, they seemed ready to help, but the dwarf could never be too careful. Trust no one, his father had always told him. Before, he had cast it away as garbage advice. Now, in this situation, it seemed like the most important thing in the world.

"Were you guys the ones sent to investigate this before us? And if what you say is true, then you must be old as hell." he commented.

"Anyway, I'm Leo Crimson, from the Lost Woods. And what is the Hall of Heroes? An ancient order of guardians?"

"One more thing: now the Labyrinth and the dorms are working together, so if you ever get the chance to get out, which I'm sure you will, don't attack them. Khuffie and the Alliance are our enemies"

Shouldering his axe, Leo looked around at the knights with the strange symbol. Never trust anyone you don't know.....as soon as Jordan and I turn our backs, they could kill us... Wary, he kept his hand on the hilt of his knife.

"One more thing: now the Labyrinth and the dorms are working together, so if you ever get the chance to get out, which I'm sure you will, don't attack them. Khuffie and the Alliance are our enemies," Leo said.

At this, all three knights froze in their tracks. They were silent for several long moments. The leader shakily put his hand on the grip of his sword. "We were lost at sea attempting to rendezvous with Jericho for his assault against the Village and the Labyrinth. We remained here, waiting for assistance. And now, after so many years, our rescuer arrives to tell us that we are now working with the Labyrinth? The dorm that takes enjoyment from raping and pillaging?"

One of his companions twitched his neck again. "Sir, they were not sent by Lord Jericho!"

The leader grunted. "This is true. He would have never submitted to the will of the Labyrinth. You two must have been sent by the King and Queen - the weak rulers that they are. Pharos, your oath! You can't let the world suffer the presence of the Labyrinth! You were ordered to join with us. Instead, you've maintained your loyalty to a weak dynasty."

"If they're allies with the Labyrinth, they cannot be trusted!"

"This is true. I would rather die than return to a land that bends over for Chikara and the Labyrinth!"

The leader drew his sword. Despite its age and damage, parts of his armor glimmered in the bright sun. Then, from within the helmet, came an inhuman roar that echoed off every piece of solid rock in the immediate area. He raised his sword up and charged, tattered cape kicking up behind him. His two companions followed.

Readying his axe, Leo prepared for battle. The first knight swung his sword downwards, but Leo rolled out of the way, but clumsily. Getting up, he swung his axe, but the knight blocked it. Another headed towards Jordan, while the 3rd stood by, ready to help the first one that fell. Thinking quickly and dodging, Leo knew that it would be hard to beat these knights. They've probably had years of practice at combat; I'm just a rookie. Suddenly, the warrior's foot came out of nowhere and kicked him in the gut. Gasping, Leo staggered back, then swung back with his strength. It caught the knight off-guard and he stumbled. Grabbing his knife, Leo prepared for another one. "Help!" he called out.

OoC: Changed my original post.

"Leo, now is not the time to be telling things like that!" Jordan scowled.

Jordan slapped his hand on his forehead, slowly dragging it down as he tried to deal with the new confusion Leo created. But that powerful roar felt like it shook the very earth itself. These knights, what were they? Jordan lowered his voice to answer Leo's earlier question.

"The Hall of Heroes was a dorm that existed hundreds of years ago, during a time before the Alliance was completely established and when the Labyrinth had far more power than it does now. They served the people as protectors and intervened with disputes around the continent back where the Alliance is now. My ancestor Pharos was a member of this dorm during his lifetime. Those knights must have mistaken me for him."

He looked over to the knights, who appeared ready to strike him down.

"I'm not Pharos! My ancestor has been dead for centuries! Why are you people still alive!?"

The wind became more and more fierce as Jordan's rage grew. He grabbed one of his glaives from it's sling and swung it down, creating a violent gust that toppled the knights. They would get back up soon enough and furious. One of the knight's helmet was damaged in the fall, breaking the visor off and a piece of the helmet. What was revealed shocked Jordan, for the knight had black eyes and a small horn coming from his head.

"You . . . you as well . . ." Jordan murmured, horrified by what he saw.

"What the hell is going in this place?" He asked himself as the knights regained their footing and stood up once again.

Relaxing, Leo replaced his axe and crossed his arms. "Interesting history. But let me ask a question: how did you guys stay alive for so long? It's been hundreds of years since we found you and you look like you just came yesterday." he commented, confused.

"Time for your penance you curs!" The larger knight said.

"I, Ferdinand Einz, will be your executioner!"

"Penance? From you?" Jordan asked as he readied his glaive.

"You three, how long have you been like that?"

The three knights paused.

"You were knights of honor and you threw it away to become monsters! If anyone will be receiving penance, it will be you!"

Jordan swung his spear, creating another violent gust. However, the three knights stood their ground. They placed their shields in front of themselves, defending against anything the wind might have picked up. The gust died quickly and the knight lowered their shields.

"You are right about one thing. You are not Sir Pharos, but you will still be punished for fraternizing with the vile Labyrinth!" Einz said as he readied his large sword.

Me and my damn mouth..... Sighing in frustration, Leo swung his axe. "Ok boys, if you want your heads on, back off!" he shouted. Then he turned to the head knight.

"Look, Einz, whoever you are. The Labyrinth will only be our ally for...a temporary period of time." he explained. "Don't take it the wrong way."

"You betray every code of the Hall simply by tolerating the presence of that foul dorm," Einz growled, sounding more animal than human.

The knight who had lost his helmet began to laugh - a vile, screeching sound that assaulted the eardrums. "Do you think Chikara will let you just walk away after you enter into an alliance with the Labyrinth? When as the dark queen ever let s-s-someone go away without a price? The Labyrinth will own you!"

Einz raised his mighty broadsword, still decorated with the engravings of the Hall of Heroes, and sent it flying down toward the top of Leo's skull.

OoC: Fun fact: Glaives are a special type of polearm weapon. Here's wikipedia's take on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaive

Jordan sidestepped in front of the dwarf and managed to block the blade with his glaive, holding the steel pole arm with both of his hands as the broadsword came creeping closer to breaking more than just Jordan's defense.

"These guys . . . are a lot tougher than they look!" Jordan said, struggling with holding his weapon up. He thrust his glaive upward, pushing away the broadsword and causing the knight to take a step back. However, one of his companions quickly came in to seize the opportunity to strike Jordan and attempted to pierce his side. Jordan leaned to the side, the sword grazed against his chestplate. Jordan leaped back to gain some distance as the knights regrouped for another attack. By closing in on Jordan, they were restricting his movements. This battle was clearly in their favor.

"Damn it all." Jordan said as he readied to take the offensive. Einz lead the charge this time, swinging his sword down like a hammer at Jordan as the other two knights attempted to close in on the sides. All the sides were blocked and he was backed against rocks, there was no moving out of the way. The knights came in to strike at once, this would be the finishing blow. However, an end like this would just be plain shameful.

Jordan, using the assistance of wind manipulation, leaped over the encirclement and thrust his glaive at the knight closest to him. His weapon was caught by Einz, who successfully prevented what would normally be a fatal strike.

"There will be no salvation for you." Einz said as he snapped the polearm in two. Jordan got back, cursing under his breath for losing his own weapon. He looked at the knights as they slowly moved into position for another attack. Before Jordan would give them the chance, he grabbed Leo and headed towards the door at the southern Talon. He managed to outrun the three knights, their armor appeared to affect their running speed significantly. At least he had that advantage. Jordan threw Leo past the doorway and closed the doors as quickly as he could, placing the broken glaive in front of the doors to lock them in place.

"Oh snooze." cursed Leo when he saw Jordan's weapon break. Then, many things happened at once. Jordan had ran right at him, picked him up and sprinted. The knights followed, but were really slow. Armour.... Then the pirate threw him threw a door and locked it. Getting up, Leo was confused.

"Why did you do that? They're still gonna break through." At the last word, a loud thump was heard on the door. "Open up, traitors!" roared a muffled voice. The thumps continued as the knights rammed the door, but the glaive held. "So what do you plan to do once they get out?" he asked.

Jordan, breathing heavily looked around the dim room. It was wide and empty with air they just felt thick. There was a torch hanging a couple feet away, providing the only light to be seen. They had to find a way out, the banging on the door grew louder while they bid their time. A small breeze blew against Jordan's face coming from the direction of the torch. Wait, how could a sealed room have a breeze?

Then it occurred to Jordan that this was a sealed room after all. It was a passage way, dark and possible treacherous to navigate, but a passageway nonetheless. There was a way out of this after all.

"Leo, quickly. We have to get moving." He said as he began making his way into the darkness. He walked quickly, he didn't want to run around in the dark for obvious reasons. He past the torch and noticed another faint light in the distance. Another torch? If it was, that proved Jordan's theory about this room being a passageway. The bangs on the door grew fainter and fainter as the two of them moved farther and farther away. As nice as it was to know that they were moving away from danger, Jordan realized he could just be moving towards another trap.

Muttering, Leo wanted to stay and wait for the knights to break through. "Alright then." He followed Jordan down the passage and grabbed a torch. Looking ahead, he saw a distant flame; he also heard the distant thumps of the knights trying to break through. Smilling, Leo looked around. "Where do you reckon we are?"

"I haven't the foggiest idea." Jordan replied, following the dim torches down the passage. Everything around him had an amber glow to it, it was almost like a dream. Maybe a nightmare. But if Jordan's guess was correct, this passage would lead the two of them to whatever place those knights came from. But why were people becoming monsters? And what of this wicked beast? Questions on top of questions and mysteries that would never cease. That's what was surrounding this place.

The passage felt like it went on forever, which helped make everything feel like a lucid dream. The sounds of the knights could no longer be heard echoing throughout this place, but the quiet didn't help much. Quiet never helped much.

"How are you doing Leo?" Jordan asked, bothered by the silence of his companion.

For a long time, Leo had let his thoughts drift to the meeting a short while ago between all the dorms. If the war was really won and Khuffie killed, what would happen? How would they know if the Fortress and Ikana would do less damage? He pondered the thought until Jordan's question brought him back. Startled, he almost dropped the torch.

"Not bad. I was just thinking about our attack on the Alliance. Do you think it'll hold after we land?"

Jordan chuckled, Leo's question was somewhat comical to him.

"Aren't you more concerned about the fact that we have monsters chasing us? Or rather why we are even in this mess? I'm sure the dorms will manage, they have for this long and I doubt they'll die out anytime soon."

Jordan began to think about the matters at hand, this passage in particular. It had to have been at least 20 minutes of walking and still no idea where this would lead him. Jordan inwardly cursed himself for making such a reckless move, but there was still that strange breeze. There had to be an exit somewhere. Then some assurance came in the form of a small light that did not appear to from a torch that shined in the distance.

Watching Jordan, Leo followed the walk and looked ahead. Is that a...light? he wondered. Quickening his pace, he noticed the torch was extinguished and threw it aside. "I think that's our way out." he said, relieved.

Jordan turned back to Leo.

"Seems that way. I wonder what's on the other side?"

Jordan swiftly moved through the passage way, his eyes fixed on that light that was growing larger as he got closer. The breeze he felt before felt stronger too, a nice change from the heavy air in the passage. When he passed through the outdoors, he knew that he would most likely meet with more people much like the knights, people who wanted to kill him and Leo. But if he was going to die, it was going to be outside where the sun was shining.

They both walked out of the tunnel and found themselves in the heart of the Eagle's Talons. There was a small city under that cloudless sky, houses of clay brick and stone that stood over an unnatural layer of fog that covered only the ground. If there was a wicked beast in these lands, this placed looked like just the spot, especially that tall, pyramid-like building in the center of the settlement.

Emerging from the darkness, Leo stopped in awe. What he saw was a city, made of bricks and other materials. "Wow....you think people lived here?" he asked. Then he noticed the fog and the strange structure. Pointing, he asked Jordan. "Reckon we should go in there?"
