The Axis Connection

This reopens a controversy not just limited to fascists, but historians in general. Was Mussolini (and Francos) connection to Hitler an honest one. Some of the most complete biographers on Mussolini believe Mussolinin did everything he could do to protect italian jews from the Holocaust, such as Richard Lamb. (Before you can accuse him of being fascist, he fought in the war against Italy) and Richard West in "Tito: The Rise and Fall of Yugoslovia" Makes an unarguable case for mussolini's invasion of Croatia, and the protection he gave to serbs and jews from the Catholic Fanatic Pavelic.

Almost-kinda-sorta. The socialism of Nazism is meant to keep people pacifyied, not to help them, and corporations are not only welcome in government, but have more say than the citizenry in it. Kinda like Bush Cheney. Creepy, nyet?
But Fascism and Nazism are different, as someone on these forums used to contend. Though both are right-wing in a sense, Nazism is a bizarre left-wing, right-wing mix hence its official name, National Socialism.
