We've had child and adult link, but what about link as an old man? Maybe with a cane instead of a sword. Or more magical powers and spells, seeing as he's older and weaker now.
What do you guys think?

I think the game would be kinda boring because Link has to do so much running, and can you imagine an ancient man trying to kill strong Ganon/Ganondorf with his cane?!?!?!?!!

Who's to say he couldn't run or fight. It's a video game. It doesn't have to be realistic. Last time I checked, pointy-eared people and fairies don't actually exist...<_<

30 - 35 year old Link would be cool. Would give the game a whole different perspective.

Actually, it would be cool for a new Link to meet and old Link. Like the New Link meets an old man of mysterious origin, and this old man tells the younger of the adventures he had with the sages...

Old Link standing out in Hyrule field shaking his cane and yelling at Ganon, "Get off my lawn!" in a funny old man voice...now that's a hilarious mental picture.

Well, I know any timeline theory destroys this, but...I remember reading in Nintendo Power (yeah, not too terribly reliable storyline-wise) that the Uncle in ALttP was supposed to be a Link from another game...whether this was a previous game or a game that was supposed to be coming out, I don't know. I think, though, that it was supposed to be Link from OoT. It's nothing more than a fun idea, though, because it doesn't really make much sense.

It's a funny idea, and I laugh picturing this old man trying to beat Ganon over the head with a cane, but I wouldn't really like to see it. In most of the games, Link is a boy, and even when he is adult Link, he is only 17 (well that is the most popular age, but he's no older than 20). And while he has physically grown up, he's still only a teenager and he's still young. I know that if you are younger than 17 then it probably does sound older, but when you pass it, you realize it's not at all.
