Fighting Style: prefers fighting from a distance where he can skewer his foes with his vast supply of knives, which are hidden on the inside of all of his clothing (even his sleeves for quick access), though he is skilled with his swords and can kick hard if he must fight at close range

Biography:
A little child when learned that the world could be a very harsh place at a very young age, so young in fact that he didn't even know his own name. War destroyed his real home, along with his real family... the only reason he still lives is in thanks to a good samaritan who was injured beyond saving, and gave his life to save his by getting him away from the warzone. Shortly after, the crying infant was found by a band of theives that coincidentally were travelling through the area, having no choice but to run and hide from the authorities by going dangerously close to the battleground. Suspecting that he was separated from his now-dead family by the war, the theives took pity on the boy and took him under their wing.
In the fifteen years the followed, the child became a boy trained in the ways of survival and theivery. He was thankful that the thieves had found him and decided to pull his weight, becoming an asset in their pilfering and efforts to thrive in a chaotic world. Not knowing his real name, he was simply addressed as "Unknown" by his new family. It wasn't a name he was really fond of, but it fit nonetheless. During his time with the theives, he trained hard, becoming skilled with blades of all sorts. His preference lied heavily towards his swords, however.
Then, just during what was to be the biggest score of their careers, tragedy struck. One of their own had turned traitorous, leading them right into a trap. His family was slaughtered in a gruesome shower of red, right before his very eyes. Something in his head snapped that fateful day. With a primal yell, his swords were into his hands and flying around the area, slicing through the enemy ranks one by one in just as gruesome a manner as his family was murdered. When over half of the twenty men were slain, they ran for their lives. Unfortunately, the traitorous whelp escaped as well. It was indeed a dark day for the boy. He'd lost his family, twice in fact. He was changing drastically, his mind in a swirl of depression and chaos; he knew death was a terrible thing, he'd learned that from the death of both his familes... and yet, he found the taste of blood from the fallen authorities, their screams... so satisfying.
In the years that followed, the boy began to forge his own life. He adopted a new name, one that he was satisfied with: Shadow. His stealthy skills and silhouette-like appearance with his wardrobe of choice, as well as his cold heart that had hardened throughout his life, made it very fitting. Within the years the followed, he lived as an assassin, now perfecting his combat and stealth skills on his own. His nack for spilling the blood of so many people earned him the nickname, "Scarlet Devil," since the blood of his victims more often than not wound up on his clothing and blades; he has never cleaned his blades once, making them actually look like red metal. Some rumors have even stated that he was a Vampir in disguise because of this habit.
To this day, Shadow survives and fights for one purpose; to have his vengance on the man who betrayed him. Recent information he acquired tells that the man had been training to get into the Order of the Dragon Knights, supposedly as compensation for putting Shadow's family to rest. It sickened him to no end. With this new information, he set off to give the man what he deserved for the death of his family...
Personality:
Shadow is very calm and collected, rarely fazed and always taking time to look into situations with a cold percision. He is neither good nor evil persay, he simply does whatever benefits him more; whether or not his employer is good or evil isn't his problem. His only concrete goal is to have his revenge for the death of his better-known family, and he doesn't really care if that makes him evil or not.
Should his employer give him a generous offer that he can promise, Shadow will do everything within his power to make that man's goal a reality. That is, unless someone offers him something better to turn coat. Anyone who crosses him, however, often winds up impaled on his blades. He isn't as greedy as he may seem, however; he merely takes the amount of money paid as a sign of how desperate the employer is, and hides the money away in an unknown location. A powerful ally to anyone who is willing to pay the right price.

Geez, probably the most angsty character I've written up. Is this acceptable? If anything is wrong, please tell me what corrections I need to make.
