Name: Lara Sarkis
Original: Yes (for Dragon Lords)

Age: 34
Height: 5'10"
Hair: Red. Length is just below the jawline.
Eyes: Hazel

Affiliation: Yuusef Dynasty
Place of Business: Himmel Islands and the mainland

Weaponry:

- Knife
- Single-shot Pistol
- Small arms
- Thugs

Strengths:

Lara is an officer in the Yuusef Dynasty, not one of their thugs. Her power lies in her ability to manipulate and to control those around her. She is highly skilled at organizing and memorizing information, managing her underlings, and orchestrating underhanded deals. She has engineered many strikes on Jinta Family operatives and has ordered many hits on those who have come into contact with her business. She's interested in making money and expanding her family connections.

When she was a younger member of the dynasty, she was more active in hits and at present she is still occasionally drawn into direct conflict. She possesses basic combat skills for the purpose of survival and control. She is exceedingly patient and will lie in wait until the right conditions are present for the ideal attack (assuming time is on her side). Lara does not care for attention and will strike far away from the public eye. She does not willingly partake in open brawls. She has thugs for that.

She generally fights with a knife, but carries a single shot pistol on her thigh as a security measure should she need it. Her wits, however, remain her most potent weapon.

Weaknesses:

She a boss, a manager, a mastermind. Her forte is not combat, and as such, she will be easily overpowered when directly facing off against a seasoned warrior. Her skills are only truly effective against those she can catch off guard and those who are incapable of properly fighting. Once cornered, she is at the mercy of the victor. Fortunately for Lara, she has been able to weasel her way out of dangerous situations in the past. That's her last shot - slime her way out of an incident using flowery words and promises.

To be successful and make her impact on the world, she needs her thugs. They are her first line of defense and her primary means of attacking. Without them, her operations come to a standstill.

Bio (will be happy to edit should there be revisions/additions to the Himmel Islands by the RPG creator(s)):

The islands of Himmel, what with their disorganized and chaotic nature, have been a breeding ground for criminal activity. Both the Jinta Family and the Yuusef Dynasty have been operating in the region for quite some time, their rivalry often resulting in both subtle and obvious crime wars. Power has constantly shifted between the two syndicates. At the moment, it is the Yuusef who dominate Himmel, and that success can mostly be attributed to Rohak Sarkis. When Rohak was thirty, he inherited rulership of the Yuusef operations in Himmel from his uncle. His first order of business was to launch a major strike against the Jinta. Thanks to Rohak's cunning and ruthless efficiency, his mission was a complete success. The Jinta were forced to abandon many of their holdings and they retreated to the mainland to avoid future assaults.

Once Yuusef control of the Himmel Isles was assured, Rohak set about creating an heir to his legacy. To keep the bloodline pure, he married his cousin. Lara was soon born, but to Rohak's disappointment, she would be their only child. Future attempts to conceive all met with failure. Instead of dwelling on this problem, Rohak instead groomed Lara into a future leader. She was exposed to syndicate life early on, witnessing hits and sordid dealings as a young girl. To her, it was all just normal.

After years of studying and keen observation, Lara became a quick witted and pragmatic young woman. At the age of 16, she became a standard Yuusef agent for the sake of gaining experience in the field. Her first outings were simple – deliver a package and don't ask any questions about what's in it, go steal this or that, deliver this message to so and so. By 18, she was taking part in hits, exposing herself to life threatening situations. Though initially capable of direct confrontations, she found it much easier to be quiet and patient. Using poisons and quiet take downs, she had killed at least fifty people by the end of her twentieth year.

She then took command of a number of Yuusef agents, falling into the role of a leader. This was far more to her liking. Now taking some control of the family business, she proved to be a highly capable businesswoman and a capable defender of the organization. Family profits began to rise the moment she became an officer.

When she was 29, her father stepped down from his post due to old age. Lara was his replacement. Though many of the newer Yuusef agents were initially hesitant about the change, all of the veterans saluted her. Any doubts lingering in the minds of the younger thugs were erased over the next few months.

Lara has all of her father's cunning and possesses his commanding figure – tall, fierce eyed and dangerous. She continues to manage the family business while taking care of all her immediate relatives. While Yuusef profits are still quite high, there is troubling news about the Jinta Family moving back into the area. She may be forced to deal with their return in the coming months or years.

The Yuusef Dynasty currently supplies the raiders with weapons and equipment, profiting from their attacks abroad and at home. Lara's presence on the islands is not too welcomed by the young leader of the more organized Himmel, but anyone can surely be won over with the right kind of sordid goods and a bit of charm. Soon, that young warrior woman will learn that the Yuusef can make a great ally...

Personality

Lara appears warm and inviting, if only because she is a businesswoman with items to sell. She is quick to laugh and smile, enjoying the finer things in life due to the wealth accumulated by the Yuusef. Fine wines, silk clothing and decadent foods are available to her at any time. Life is a game and she happens to be winning. Because of her success, she is somewhat narcissistic, but always makes time for her agents. Her more open demeanor can suddenly shift if stern measures are necessary, and she can turn into a cold hearted bitch at the drop of a hat. She has no trouble manipulating her various clients for the sake of greater profit. This outgoing exterior and rough interior make her... devilishly charming.

In the end, there's nothing too special about this criminal career. It's just like any other business. Being able to violently smack down your competition is just a bonus (and it's not like regular businesses aren't as equally ruthless in their own way!). There's not much need to make a fuss over it. It's supply and demand. The raiders need weapons and equipment, and she can provide it at a reasonable cost.

She does take some twisted joy, however, in putting upstanding people (in her mind, naive 'boy scout' types) on the path of moral ambiguity. Lara doesn't care for people who sway to strongly to 'good' or 'evil.' They're unpleasant extremes. A proper person knows how to make use of both without losing their balance. You don't screw over anyone you've made a promise with, but you can have a little bit of dirty fun now and again. She's not good. She's not really all that evil. She's a bad girl with a sense of underworld honor.

Lara has an intense dedication to her relatives and gets along quite well with her parents, who she visits regularly when she is in the Himmel Isles and at her estate. She is also quite close to many of her cousins and more distant relations. Fortunate, since she'll likely have to marry one of them in the near future.
