Weapons: His stiletto named Endulon which has a large ruby in the hilt, and his hardwood staff which he prefers over Endulon. The staff is a Fargor family heirloom and the type of wood is not know but it is said that the gods blessed it in order to preserve it.
Attire: Always seen wearing a black cloak with gold lining, blue shirt, black pants, and some light leather padding as armor.
Attitude toward Life: He feels like life abandoned him as a child when his parents died, he feels alone and misunderstood in the world, but he refuses to let that depress him, he enjoys the few friends he has to the fullest and loves having a good time.
Philosophy of Life (in a phrase): "Speak softly but carry a bigger stick than your opponent."
Strengths: because of his training under Mr. Fargor he has the means to support himself adaquetly wherever he goes. He can throw Endulon with deadly accuracy if necessary but he would rather simply knock his opponent out with his hardwood staff (which is his best and favorite weapon) then kill them. His friend Xavier travels with him everywhere to cook his meals and provide some friendly company. He is very friendly towards people after he gets to know them, so he has little problem being accpeted in towns.
Weaknesses: Wears very little armor because of his reliance on his fighting abilities to not take hits. This, however, causes him to be extremely vulnerable to ranged attacks. His fear of spiders causes him to panic and sometimes freezes him in place. He has a tendency to lose items that he doesn't value highly and it can often cost him a lot of time and money.
Bio: Arato was born in a fishing town that no longer exists, when he was 11 months old the whole town was destroyed and everyone inside was killed. Arato was found crawling along a road by Mr. Fargor and his wife who then adopted him. No one knows for sure how Arato survived but most speculate his mom was a Witch who cast a teleport spell on him to get him to safety. When Arato was found he had a piece of paper attached to his diaper which read "Vashta Nagru!! God help this child." The Fargors kept this secret from Arato for many years. Vashta Nagru was a Himmel Raider renowned for his ruthless attacks on small fishing villages all along the cost of Skye and other Coastal regions too.
On Arato's 10th birthday the Fargor's decided it was time Arato knew his past. On that day Arato vowed that he would bring Vashta Nagru to justice and it is said that on this day the gods turned his eyes golden because of the nobility of his new resolve. He was at that time still apprenticed to Mr. Fargor and he was good as a handyman. He spent every spare time away from his training learning martial arts, swordfighting, and staff-fighting. By age 13 he already rivaled his teacher in staff-fighting and by age 15 he was the top of all his martial arts classes. At age 16 his apprenticeship ended and thanked the Fargors for all they had done for him.
At this point Arato began wandering from town to town searching for where Vashta Nagru might be. When he was 17 two very important things happened to him. First, he won a very expensive black cloak with gold lining in a knife throwing contest and now he is always seen wearing it. And second, he met and rescued Xavier who as it turned out was a cook. Xavier, feeling indebted to Arato (and also because he wanted a little adventure in his boring cooks life)decided to travel with Arato.
Together always they travel from town to town, continent to continent searching for evidence of Vashta Nagru. They earn money from Arato's handyman skills and they are well liked in most towns because they can often be seen cooking free meals for the poor or homeless.
On his 18th birthday he returned to Skye to visit the Fargors and found that they had a recieved a package for him from an anonymous sender. Inside it was a beautiful stiletto with an 8 inch blade and a ruby in the hilt which he named Endulon.
