You used to have some affiliates who had never updated in years, and didn't even have affiliate sections.

I think l-o-s deleted all those. I think he was just looking for active links, dumping all the ones that led to nowhere.

Plus, wouldn't it be Masamune with the link problem? Why would l-o-s need to be on top of Masamune's links? :P

I didn't even know that l-o-s was a staff member outside of the forum. :P

Hey guys, just wanted to wish you all the best in getting your site back online as soon as possible, and that you hopefully haven't lost *too* much. This is a great site, and I look forward to seeing the new version ^_^

Zelda Legends is back up. Sort of. See the announcement on the main page.

http://www.zeldalegends.net/

EDIT: Oh, FYI, as of right now the only things not uploaded are the Other Material section and the image gallery. I'll upload the other section in a little bit. I am not going to restore the image gallery interface, but I WILL restore the images themselves. I'm not sure I'll be able to restore the images today.

Out of curiousity, are you going to do an image gallery at all or do you intend to change Gallery systems?

Excellent. Now I can make actual updates, without having to worry of screwing up the code. =P

I will have one image gallery, still using coppermine. The old image gallery (current as of March 2004) will be restored, and the fan art gallery will be contained in the same gallery, not separately like before. Also the gallery will be integrated into the site design, unlike before when it was self-contained in its own window.

Which reminds me to ask... Should I keep the tabs? They aren't as useful now because we'll have more things contained in the site design (with the exception of the bestiary, perhaps).

Heh, here's a revised golden rule:

"If you don't know what something does or if you haven't been told to use it, don't touch it until you've asked davogones." :)

I spent two hours checking all those links. I must have been tired ;)

And did I ever tell you guys? I removed like 150 links, either because they didn't exist anymore or because they were repeats. That's a lot of dead Zelda sites. Most franchises don't even get 50 fansites, but we have huge website graveyards ;)

Yet didn't even check your own affiliates, FIEND!

That's it, your fired.

Davo, you SHOULD keep the tabs... Anything that integrates navigation prowess.... unless you have something better, I wouldn't lob them.

I personally didn't like how they would link to the last place you were (in that category). I ended up not using them for that reason.

I agree, that was irritating, but in any other context it would have been a brilliant idea.

But that was supposed to be the whole point of the tabs! You know, tabbed browsing! It was a lot of work getting that to work right!

If every page of the site has the navigation bar with all the sections, the tabs seem kind of pointless to me. The tabs were there partly because parts of the site didn't have the navigation links. But now the whole site should have it, and I'll even have a dropdown site map on every page as well.

But if tabs make it more convenient to browse, maybe they're a good thing eh?

Well, if they aren't needed, then getting rid of them could do the trick too...

Are you going to change the color scheme of the site? I like the blue, but I think the newer game requires a green feel...

Or maybe a steel grey.

Well i used the tabs every once in a while but i preferred taking a link to a main area then having all the links at the top of that page.
If i hit 'village square' it'd go back to the forum.. which was nice.. unless i'd been to the fanart gallery recently, then it'd go back to the last piece of art i viewed.. which was annoying. ^^' i realize it was a lot of hard work..

Well, regardless of what anyone might have said previously... Change the link already! It's been a year for crying out loud!

You'll be pleased to know that in my new template I took some of my OWN TIME to change the 'http://loz.' to 'http://www.'

I think I deserve to be compensated for that. Like, maybe reinstate AWStats on the server. >.>

We'll have all the same themes as before... maybe not looking exactly the same, but pretty darn close. And I assume we'll make more as time goes on, since they'll be easier to make.

Awstats is gone? Why didn't you just email me, masa? -_-
