Toki Tori is a puzzle-platformer (the same genre as Donkey Kong '94 and Mario vs Donkey Kong) that was released on the Gameboy Color and has since been remade for Wiiware (900 Wii Points, 290 blocks). The game stars a chick named Toki Tori who must collect missing eggs held within a variety of themed levels. Getting through the levels requires the use of several items (like Lemmings), such as bridges and teleports. Overall, the level designs and the incorporation of items are excellently done and you never feel like you're repeating old strategies. But I think what makes Toki Tori such a stand-out title is that the logic needed to solve the puzzles isn't the type that boggles the mind to such an extent where going about solving it is a puzzle in itself. Experimenting is always easy and you always feel like every experiment achieves something in terms of knowing what to do.
If you haven't got this game yet, buy it or put it on your wish list. It's seriously worth buying. PS: The background music is fantastic!
