I can't believe he keeps coming back. o_o Back when he was "oneacelink" and "marth/serra/roy", I used to talk to him on aim/such. I feel like that was eons ago. He can't possibly be that in love with this forum. D:

He cheated in a dorm competition by befriending other members of other dorms, using their passwords which were conned out of them to log into the other dorms and gather information.

Every successive time after that he was banned for A: being the same person, and B: as Marth, Roy, Eliwood, and Serra, he showed ambitions of getting at least one of his accounts into each dorm - when there was a repeat (4 accounts and 3 dorms), he played to the close-knit nature of the forum to draw sympathy as he "killed" Eliwood after an "encounter with a drunken homeless man in the streets". This was discovered after Eliwood logged on after his "death".

Or how about it was 5AM EST, I was asleep, and there were 60 OTHER posts like this.

That said, this IP for Prince Marth/Storm was a completely different IP, as these two instances are completely different people. This IP has since been taken care of.

I guess my reflexes are just better, then. (I even had something to auto-IP ban users who matched certain criteria regarding reregstration)

That's pretty rude and needlessly condescending. It's not a matter of reflexes, it's a matter of us being asleep. You don't have much in the way of reflexes when you're asleep. Had we been awake, it would have been a non-issue. We didn't start a competition to see who the best admin on the internet is, so there's no need to try and prove yourself as the best here for no real reason.

It's more of a matter of experience. I had to deal with some real lamers to the point my ban count rose to well over 100 accounts in a single year, and over 2000 IP addresses banned, almost all of which were automatically banned.

So while "reflexes" may have been the bad term to use ....


(To be fair, I can do things while I'm asleep; I have something check very often for signs of reregistering idiots/spambots that destroys them within a few minutes.)


I guess it's just a matter of how far you're willing to go to get idiots out of your hair.

As 'impressive' as your implementations are, LA's not usually troubled, so all that would be overkill for us. We have no real need for that. Drive-by spammers aren't terribly common here, so they certainly aren't the end of the world.


Regardless, the situation has been handled. So that's the end of things, hopefully.

I really fail to see the point to join the forum and come here to brag that you can do everything better. It would really help if you took into consideration what Selena actually posted.

That said, this has nothing to do with this topic. I'm closing it.
