A dark blanket of clouds soared over the landscape of Iwagakure: the hidden earth village. While some of the Ninja's fretted this way in that from terror of the rain that might destroy any plans of laundry, picnics, or even the lucky few who were given the job of protecting the delicate walls, most suited up with their rain coats and umbrellas, preparing for the enviable rain.

For about 30 or so lucky ninja, the rain was not going to thrash the the magic and excitement that this day was. For today was the day when these 30 ninja were going to be placed on a team that they would carry with them for most of their ninja career. And for these lucky ninja not even their parents could keep them in control as they ran outside dressed in their casual clothes splashing down the road in the direction of their school. Rin Uchiha was one of these lucky children.

Rin Uchiha or Uchiha Rin whatever your preference was no ordinary child. Unlike some young children's whose mood might fluctuate with the seasons, she instead remained in the same mood that she might also be if the sun was shining bright in the sky. Today, being one of her most important days as a ninja she dressed in her normal attire, she through on a violet tank top and a short, black pseudo skirt with a pair of black shorts underneath. She had two arm guards wrapped around her elbows, and her shoes just a pair of sandals. Her hair which on a good day she might let hang down loose today, having no time to prepare for the morning she tossed up lazily in the messiest possible pony tail a young 12 year old could manage. She stalked out of the door without even a word to her mother who had been preparing a fancy breakfast.

Her Mom, Suki dashed past her one hand holding a piping plate of rice and fish and the other carrying a red paper umbrella. "RIN! RIN!" She called in desperation. Rin, either oblivious to her shouts or maybe intentionally ignoring continued her pace, the rain falling down like rocks against her once dry black hair.

"You are going to catch your death.." her mom muttered in a final attempt as she stopped in her tracks to turn back around towards their shady little apartment.

'Good riddance.' Rin thought to herself as she continued on past the residential area into the busy village. The streets were all nearly deserted except for the occasional child wandering towards the school to eagerly hear their newly appointed team. Rin didn't end her pace until she had made it to the small ninja school that housed all beginning nin through whatever stage of life. Most nin still attended the school from time to time to learn and prefect anything from basic skills to high level jutsu's.

She slammed open the door and passed by the other students without so much as a word as she headed into the classroom which had already had been filling up with the eager students all anxiously awaiting the teachers arrival to list off their new teams.

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" He sings out to the world. He looks around. Its raining. Sweet and beautiful rain. He knows the sky isn't falling, but he wants to scare all the little children into thinking that the world will end. Or at least that really old dude sitting in the corner who thinks that the world really will end at any second. Yuya laughs. The old man had gone to get his umbrella and ended up bringing out a frying pan.

The nin were pumped today, they were getting teams. Which meant that he was able to tell them stories about the tests they would face in their teams, in order to prove their worthyness. He told one kid that in order to get your team, you had to sing a song backwards and blindfolded, all the while walking over a lake of lava. The kid looked at him, not knowing what to do. Yuya winked at him. The kid ran away. Kids do that a lot these days.

Yuya started to sing a song about chickens that didn't make a lot of sense. He liked it.

"I'm supposed to what?" Hikaru jerked his eyebrow up, looking at the other foreign nin like he was a wild animal.
"Master Hyuuga, like I had said before, as part of Konoha and Iwaga's alliance fostering programs, you've been asked to lead a team of Earth genins for a month," The Earth ninja representative replied patiently, though he averted his gaze; looking into the Hyuuga boy's white eyes unnerved him. No, it wasn't merely the lack of a colored pupil that made the man uncomfortable, it was the menace abundant he found that threatened to consume everything should he make eye contact.
"I don't like it," Hikaru spouted immediately, his arms folded as he stood back in a sort of regal poise, "But I'll do it, seeing as I have no other choice,"
"Thank you, Master Hyuuga," Despite being almost twice the Hyuuga boy's age, the Earth nin found himself relieved that he had not incurred such a volatile boy's wrath. A Jounin at 15? If that did not scream prodigy, then he did not know what did.

~*~*~*~

Hikaru sighed. Why did the Hokage have such dodgy methods of assigning these type of social missions? Hikaru could hardly call a lottery a fair way to choose which of the Leaf Jounins had to commit to this ridiculous program with Earth country. How the heck did someone as stupid as that blonde haired imbecile become Hokage? Hikaru could not but feel that Hokages weren't made as they used to be.

Thinking back, Hikaru began to seriously question if the lottery, as dodgy as it was already, wasn't rigged. There was a lot of snickering when his name was pulled out of the lottery. The much older adult Jounins had taken a liking to ruffling his hair or squeezing his cheeks just to see his reaction due to his age. To his chagrin, Hikaru had even earned himself the nickname 'That cute little genius with a scary temper,' As far as Hikaru was concerned, they were all idiots. He was a Jounin for goodness sakes! No matter what his age was, the fact he was the new comer or how adorable he looked trying to fumble his way into line with the adults who were taller then him, they shouldn't make him out as their own personal play thing!

Aside from his problems at work, Hikaru never really cared for socializing. People were better off not knowing him. Hikaru could only hope that this month would fly by as quickly as humanly possible. Quicker, if possible. As the short tempered Hyuuga waited alongside other Earth ninja Jounins, awaiting to greet their respective new genin teams, the poor boy had no idea what trouble he had been forced into. Had Hikaru been more superstitious, he might've wanted to check his ominous horoscope for the day Beware the red eyes shaded by black night.

Jin strolled through the gates of Konoha, his face and long white hair obscured by a dark hood. Not much had changed since last he had been there, several years ago during a war between Konoha and his own former hidden village of Mist. His mission had merely been to poison the water supply, but he had encountered some resistance in the form of a taijutsu genius in a green jumpsuit. That had been . . . an interesting battle. Jin casually wondered if the ninja was around . . . So. Where to go first? Likely the hokage building on the opposite side of the village would be his best bet. It would make sense. A sudden gust of wind blew his hood off of his head. The chunin at the gate, up till now doing paperwork, looked up with a start. He could see the recognition on their faces. How? Without any conscious thought, Jin turned and leapt up on a rooftop, jumping from red tile to red tile, his arms streaming out behind him.
"That's the Bane of Mist, get him!" He heard shouts behind him.

He was evidently listed in the Konoha bingo book. Hell, he was probably listed in every village's bingo book.

It had been around 5 seconds since he was recognized. Jin slowed down, allowing his pursuers to catch up with him. He stopped and raised his hands in the air
"I surrender. Don't hurt me." His voice dripped with sarcasm.
The chunin, grown from two to five, looked warily at him, then cautiously moved forward and slapped a chakra seal on his chest. He could break it easily, it was a very weak seal normally only used for punishing a genin playing tricks with genjutsu but there was little need. They would take him exactly where he needed to go. Jin looked up at the sun for a moment, so much warmer here than in Mist. No chance to go back now. He looked forward, towards the large building they were taking him to.

Rin's face appeared to look just a little grim as her eyes gazed over the 5 or so leaders that had lined up towards the side of the room their eyes all knowing of exactly who was to be on their little teams.

Suddenly the teacher entered the room with a loud thud, the door slamming hard against the wall as he threw it open. One of his hands swayed side to side, in the other he held a rolled up scroll that held the numbers and names of each team that he was going to form.

Rin was satisfied enough knowing that at least the teams weren't going to be determined by some game of duck, duck, goose, but instead formed with at least some sort of real thought. She understood that each village may form things a little different, her mom's family was "radical" ninja. Her mother the daughter of two missing nin..their teams based more on family connection and power instead of team or desire for who could teach the ninja properly.

She spaced out deep into her thoughts as the first few names were called off, the team of three young kids (2 girls and one boy) being carted away by a very sullen looking woman. Rin was rather glad that wasn't her team, the jounin leader didn't appear to be big on hygiene, her hair was just a little to stringy. It was another couple minutes before she heard her name finally called. She snapped her attention forward and stood up to glance quickly at whoever she had been teamed up with.

The first teammate she spotted standing was a very stuffy looking blue haired woman, Rin couldn't very easily remember her name other then it sounded slightly like 'yummy.' Rin had never taken much interest in the girl she way to formal, kind of freaky. Rin always felt like the girl was starring at her, judging her with some weird thoughts. Maybe it was the teenage feelings telling her that girl thought she was better than her, after all Rin was 'ghetto' and she was well..snooty.

It wasn't until Rin stood up that the third member of her squad was announced. Rin had expected it to be one of the few men who remained, the thought just made Rin want to vomit. The only few men remaining were the nosepickers, the overally pretty boys, and well the men who just cared way to much about ninjutsu. Fan boys as Rin so kindly referred to them as. Instead a bubbly blonde flew up. HER, that girl Rin DID remember her name..Miko..the overally perky girl that if it was possible to fart rainbows and kittens that girl would do it. With Rin's first impression she believed the girl just to be a big kiss ass, but no..it was just her nature. She was kind to everyone but in the sense that Rin didn't know if she was just dumb or possibly just believed there was no evil in the whole damn world. For as much as she automatically disliked that yummy girl..that Miko was possibly Rin's least favorite person in her whole damn class and here she was..teamed up with her.

Now if Rin's instructor was to curse her in some other manner it would be with her group leader. As his name was announced with a lovely.."great pleasure to introduce" Rin wondered what wonderful retired ninja they were going to grace her with, but no, a GUEST instructor? A Hikaru Hyuuga? She looked in confusion to see the man stepping forward, a strange long haired black haired man with the strangest eyes she had ever met. She blinked, and stepped forward.

"Hello." She said simply, she knew that her goodness to god mother would have wanted her to more respect her superiors, but this man may have been her jounin leader but he still didn't even appwear to be that much older then herself. Why should she show him more respect? He may have advanced a little further than herself but who says Konoha nins are so much greater than her own? Konoha was considered their "big sibling" but really..Rin hardly saw any reason to give it anymore respect.

"Watch your mouth, brat, or you're liable to lose it," It was Hikaru's immediate response, a sharp and harsh rebuke. "Show your superiors more respect when you address them," He didn't like the girl already. Though, admittedly, Hikaru probably would've disliked her no matter who she was and how she acted. It was just how he was.

Swiping away fringes of his long back hair that had gotten in the way of his eyes, Hikaru regarded the girl Rin coldly. It was his way of measuring her worth, if he was going to be her mentor, she at least had to have some basic strength. Hikaru did not associate with failures. Hikaru was far from being the kind, easy substitute teacher. Even if his time with them was temporal, Hikaru would make it worthwhile. After all, his clan's honor was at stake; this annoying mission he was assigned had to be completely perfectly.

One by one he paid a brief glance to the members in his team. All women; great, just great. He noted a particularly annoying one that he would have to avoid most of all. She had blonde hair and the most ridiculous smile across her face. To be honest, she almost reminded Hikaru of his damn moronic Hokage.

"All of you will refer to me as Sensei, no exceptions," Hikaru informed the three girls, looking at none of them directly with his blank white eyes. "Follow, brats," Hikaru jerked his head in a motion that meant for them to follow. Admittedly, he had picked up a certain little trick for testing worthy candidates for Genin from a certain Copy Ninja Kakashi...

The rain was really chundering down now. It fell as if it had nowhere else to go. I mean, it could be doing so much better with its time. It could be flowing in a stream like snake in the sands or it could be up in the clouds floating around the sky having fun, but no, it was all falling down at the same time forcing most sane people to stay inside.

Yuya was outside.

His team. It made him think. He rememebered them with detail. One was a boy, the other a girl. They had both been so wrapped up in the thought of fighting people with all their ninjustsu it was hard enough to get them to relax at all. But Yuya liked a challenge, and eventually got them to pause their trainiing long enough to smirk at his image of a tiger running away from their Jounin, who was a little old lady who carried a stick.

Dont laugh, that stick could inflict pain. Scary old lady she was.

Rin measured the man up. She did at least admire his attitude, it was nice to get a leader who wasn't somebody she could just shove around. The man obviously had some sort of attitude problem himself. she could take from his attire that he must have came from some sort of respectable clan. He seemed to come from some sort of wealth, maybe not to the extent of flamboyantly showing it like that clan that her team mate "yummy" was from, but his clothes did seem to be made of some decent material and well his face showed no sort of blemishes. He looked..well kept.

"Whatever you say..sensei." Rin said and started forward. She kept her pace somewhat behind him, she didn't know exactly where the man was going to take her so she figured she shouldn't stay ahead of him. But behind him she could at least laugh if the Leaf nin started to get lost in the foreign landscape. She figured due to his age this was either his first visit to Iwagakure or possibly his second. She doubted the man had gotten to time to become familiar with village.

"Now..sensei aren't you going to at least take the time for introductions?" Rin said as she followed the man outside the school.

"I mean really, I am sure all three of us would like to know more than just your name and why you have such interesting eyes. Plus, I am sure you would like to know our names, interests, and what we strive to do in the future. You can't expect us to work well as a team if we know nothing about each other." The girl said as she kept herself well hidden under the over hang right outside the building. The rain had still not let up and she had just finally managed to dry out her hair a little bit. The thickness of her dark locks usually annoyed her to no end with how long it usually took for it to dry out, at least now she had managed to NOT look so much like a drowned rat.

"All I can really tell you is she." Rin said and pointed one soot crusted finger at Miko. "Has enough glee to fill up the entire room, her name is Miko I believe which is quite fitting for a girl so bubbly, she is not the most gifted person in the class nor is she the class moron, she catches onto things quite easily enough, mostly I would say she is a nice mediocre." Rin said finishing her little introduction.

"That girl." she said and pointed at Yui. "Well I never really can remember her name, she doesn't do to well with ninjutsu or even the few genjutsu we learned." She stopped trying to remember all that she could remember about Yui.

"Though her taijutsu is highly superior to almost everyone in our class. I will even admit she is way better than myself in that aspect. She also though is very much a a loner, maybe the reason I didn't learn her name is because she frankly doesn't go out of her name to exactly get to know anyone." She said crossed her arms.

"And as for myself, well like I said, introductions would be nice." She said eyeing the man wondering his next move

"Are all Earth village girls this annoying?" Hikaru asked, evidently irritated. The rain and his long wet hair hid most of the side of his face as he purposely walked through the streets of the Earth village callously. Hikaru knew where he was going, of course. A skilled ninja always took in their landscape and surrounding environment, for one possessing the Byakugan, it was a very simple matter. Hikaru had gotten a firmer sense of location in the Earth village then a normal ninja would've had in a month. Strange to think that but a few generations ago that the Leaf was at war with the Rock, and here he was, a noble of the Leaf waltzing around with a bunch of Earth girls alongside. The times sure have changed from what Hikaru had heard from his grandfather.

"You seem like a clever girl, so let me be frank. I do not care to know what your names are," Hikaru replied curtly and without any signs of sympathy of hesitation. "I don't remember the names of imbeciles and fools; which is what you are until I see otherwise," He didn't break his pace, Hikaru moved down the wet roads with three genin girls in tow; navigating Earth village like he was a local. "As for my own introduction, you haven't earned that right either," It was the last words Hikaru spared these abominable women, before deciding to carry on the rest of their brief trip in silence.

~*~*~

It didn't take too long for them to reach a clearing. Hikaru had scouted it out earlier and found it fitting. Unlike Konoha's forest clearing, with trees abundant, the area Hikaru had found was a rocky surrounding, just before a steep cliff. The place was wide enough, but the eminent threshold of the cliff and the sure death of falling to the canyons below were still close enough to make most ninja on edge. Pardon the pun.

Hikaru turned to face the three girls, and as the rain pattered down, now no more then a weak shower, he pulled out a single small, golden bell. "It is as they said, I am on loan from Konoha. And as such, I have my own way of doing things," Hikaru said, nonchalantly as his blank eyes regarded them in utmost aloof, "Let me make this clear. Just because you three have graduated, it doesn't make you real ninja, not yet," Dangling the bell beside his head, Hikaru continued his first instructions to them.

"Before I force myself to become your leader, I would you pass a final exam; my exam," Hikaru's voice was clear and authoritative, the slight wind blowing amidst the rain causing the bell to jingle at times as he spoke, "Retrieve this bell from me, using whatever means necessary; if you don't come at me with intent to kill, your very slim chance becomes absolutely zero,"

"As you can see, there is only one bell, and the person who takes it, I will allow to become a genin," A sly, fox-like smile inched itself at Hikaru's lips, wanting to spread across his currently cold face, "However, because I am so kind, I will permit that one person to select another who they believe would be a worthy ninja as well; one and only one," Of course, Hikaru didn't need to say it. He was sure they'd have understood. One of them was going home from today a failure.

"The one remaining failure can go get assigned another team or commit suicide for all I care," Hikaru stated, calmly with a hint of disgust. He attached the bell to his jounin jacket at the side with a limp wire, so that the bell hung low about his hips. "You may start whenever you're ready," Hikaru cross his arms and shut his eyes tight, appearing completely off guard as if he were inviting them to take the initiative and attack.

It was show time.

Grinning as widely as a slice of watermelon, the smallish blonde girl leaned close and spoke in the most timid and sincere of voices, "May I have a bell, please?"

~*~*~

Of course, Miko hadn't exactly planned for her day to go like this.

It was standard for any young nin to wake up at the crack of dawn (if not earlier), studying or working out thoroughly to waken up a bit before class. The newest class of graduated Genin had been told in advance that they would be finding out their team assignments and meeting their new Jounin leaders today, so this was an especially important day for each and every one of them to be at their peak, ready for whatever adventure and adversity the newest bonafide Earth nin were to face.

She had prepared an outfit the evening before, a butter-yellow sun dress with a comfortable pair of shorts to go underneath, a full pack of freshly sharpened throwing daggers and senbon, and a gold-colored ribbon to put her hair up in. She was going to make a breakfast of rice, eggs, and two tall glasses- one milk, one orange juice, taking the time to put extra rice in a rubber container and to slice up yesterday's dinner ham for her mother's sandwich lunch. Then she would make sure that the Tsuchikage wasn't still dead asleep, as she would be expected at her office by eight (which meant that she often left home by a quarter to nine). It was to be a typical morning before an atypical day.

But by twenty minutes before class started, the girl instead was sprinting as quickly as she could to class with a box of cheap, prepared dango from the corner store in one hand, chomping them down and shoving their sticky wooden skewers into the midst of her updo, each one better solidifying her hair out of her face. Her dress was a shade of pink that made her tan look orange, her ribbon forgotten, and her pack of weapons half-empty. Her mother had tried to sooth Miko's upset at not getting anything done by claiming that it was a nice day to go out to lunch anyway.

The girl found herself sneaking through the door two minutes after the hour, trying to calm her nerves as she found a seat amidst the chatter of a class that was unlikely to calm down without thorough warning from their instructor. Even once she had been told her group assignment and went to join them, she was yet too out of breath to introduce herself to the guest instructor, who seemed all around to not be in a very good mood...but neither did the others of her team.

Funny, she thought, that this Leaf nin was the only man in the team. It reeked of her mother's doing, and she was sure that they'd only get the weakest, least stressful of tasks to perform. It was the sort of thing the Tsuchikage would do to protect her baby, and if this were the case...Miko would be very grumpy when she met up with her mother next. She might even refuse to bake cherry pie to go with their pot roast.

Miko allowed the least emotional looking of her peers, a girl named Rin, say her name and what she knew of her abilities, glad not to look for attention lest she be asked why she was late by either the milky-eyed team leader or their actual teacher. That was the main reason why she didn't try to make excuses by saying that the dress she'd intended on wearing had been soaked with blood, her mother had used her ribbon to strangle a man, and the entire upstairs of their home was pincushioned with senbon. Assassination attempts always came at the most inopportune times. She spied another set of classmates across the way who were being informed by the teacher that they would be receiving a new team leader later in the day. They too were to have a guest instructor, but as it so happened he was now in the prison infirmary, being treated for his fresh wounds before charges were brought up against him formally for trying to off Miko's mom.

Besides, it was best to keep her identity under cover and not allow the other kids to discover that she was the daughter of the Earth Shadow. Distance and coddling were for the dogs.

~*~*~

So that was how she was led here to this rocky cliffside, staring at the pair of bells on the belt loop of the pale Jounin they had just been introduced to. She knew better than to assume that one Genin could stand a chance against him, and failing was not an option.

Miko did the only thing she could think of: she took a few small steps forward, leaning in close to look up at Hikaru's closed eyes, and politely asked for what she wanted. "May I have a bell, please?"

If Rin had wanted to show her true feelings about Miko's little brave act she would have an extremely red forehead. Did that dumb girl really think Hikaru would give that bell up so easily? For any people who were that familiar with Rin as a human being they might actually find her next act a little hard to believe. She closed her eyes for a quick second and took a deep breath and reached her hand out to yank at the collar of Miko's little pink dress to send the girl backwards. She then reached over for her other female companion and pulled at the two to lead them some distance away. She was only then going to release the three of them.

"Now, before you both run away let me say a few words." The Dark haired girl said as she leaned forward to show that she wanted to have a small huddle going on.

"I honestly don't care for either of you, blondie I think you are a little dumb, and well you, girl I just well share no real feels for you." She said with little remorse for any sting she may cause in her words.

"But, for some reason the Tsuchikage and the Ninja board thought us three would make an ideal team. So for that, we are stuck working together." She said and turned her head back to look at Hikaru.

"Now, mister swirly eyes there has what really is the stupidest little test there in the world. He knows that all of three of us stand no chance to win against him head to head, an well Miko's tactic here is more likely to end with her flying across the field." Rin said giving a nod towards Miko.

"So, even though one of us according to smarty pants won't make it on this here team. Which really I say is a load of crap because we all know that we need a three man team. Really if we do want to take that bell from him, most likely we are going to have to work out some sort of team work here. We may not like each other but, as for now we are stuck as a team, and if we want to bring down him..well no matter how bothersome it is we have to do it." She said staring at them all waiting for agreement.

"It is either that or I say we just say screw this all and leave. Really, running away or teamwork is the only way I see us coming out of this." She said shrugging.

"You guys agree? I will honestly say I am not that great with taijutsu but from what i have seen she is pretty good, if that is ok if we have any close fighting range I nominate her, Miko would make a decent distraction, or even a fighter since based on her previous action most likely sensei there is going to consider her slightly incompetent." She said shrugging.

"That is all I really have as a plan, I am not exactly a master tactician, so any help would be nice." The ninja said her cheeks reddening a bit. She really had no idea how they COULD win this fight, they were all genin fresh out of school, they had no real battle experience nor did they have any experience with each other. Their chances of passing were going to be slim to none in this case. Rin really was very much ready to take choice #2 if the others were ok with it. She looked at them uneasy, she hated acting like she was the leader in this case, but other then Miko none of them had taken any other approach to this situation. But really genin vs jounin? Rin felt almost like David vs Goliath. Rin did feel confident in her abilities against other Genin but..against him..hm she would be smooshed, she only had one Drumpf card after all.

Feeling someone's presence coming towards him, Hikaru snuck a peek by partially opening his left eye. Needless to say, upon seeing Miko's face leaned so close to his, Hikaru's immediate and reflexive reaction was to blush profusely. One, she was a girl. Two, she was so close to him that he could literally trace the contours of her lips. And three, upon closer inspection, she was prettier then he had thought.

It wasn't until a few awkward moments passed that Hikaru regained composure, solace from the distractions the blonde haired maiden presented. What was the first thing he thought? "This has got to be some sort of Kunoichi trick!" Hikaru was just about to bat the silly girl away, half as a defense mechanism to her 'attack' and the other half to get some distance between them in the hopes she would not notice the light red of his cheeks. Fortunately, Rin dragged the girl away before Hikaru could toss her around like a rag doll.

"The hell is with that crazy bitch?" Hikaru thought, a bead of sweat running down at the back of his head. It was strange, but for some reason, she so easily compromised his calm. It was no wonder Hikaru felt just a wee bit annoyed. His folded arms twitched, Hikaru realized he'd have to be careful around that blonde one.

A makings of a smile nearly curbed Hikaru's lips, that Rin girl was taking on a leadership role. Perhaps he had underestimated her? There was something with that girl that set her apart from the others. Hikaru was unsure what but one thing he knew...He did not like the look of her eyes. Not in the least.

The three genin girls seemed to be conspiring together. Well, it was an interesting direction. Most genins upon hearing there was only one bell to be won and one person chosen, would either consider their team mates in the way of that one bell or form a tentitive alliance with one other and consider Hikaru and the remaining left out team mate an enemy. Of course, betrayals were common as well. After all, the purpose of this test was not to gauge their fighting ability, it was to measure their loyalty and teamwork. Hikaru would not have scumbags in his group.

Hikaru was unsure what Rin was playing at, trying to get them to all work together. It was not a normal response. She either planned on manipulating the others, or she had already beaten the test. The blonde girl was certainly stupid enough to be manipulated, at least. The third girl...well, Hikaru did not know much about that one.

"This is tiring, shall we make it more interesting then?" Hikaru mused, his head tilting to the left mockingly, "You have until sunrise the next day, or you all fail," It was some time around afternoon now, so the three girls had all night. Not that it would be enough. Hikaru was not as merciful as Kakashi.

Jin leaned casually against a large rock a little distance from the group. This . . . method of induction into genin-hood was so different from that of the Mist. Originally of course one had to kill all the students in his class to be made a genin, and then was assigned to a jonin or chunin with two from other classes. Normally there were only 3 separate classes, and so only one genin team was formed a year. That method had, of course, been abandoned after Zabuza killed every student in the school, but its replacement was nearly as brutal. Each team was sent onto one of the small islands around the village. There were limited resources on the islands. The team members were instructed not to kill, but to incapacitate their fellow team members for control of the food. When a ninja was incapacitated, a boat from the Village would come and get him or her. The winning member of each team was put into another composed of the winners from other islands. Often the "incapacitated" ninja were critically wounded, and were unable to perform more than the simplest manual tasks for the rest of their lives. This Konoha method was different though. It obviously rewarded teamwork above skill. It looked like a variation on the method Hatake Kakashi allegedly used to select potential genin candidates. Jin had heard of the Jonin's test a few years ago while spying in Konoha.

He shifted his position, his shoulders finding a comfortable indentation in the rock behind him. After being led to the Hokage, Jin had simply said that he wanted to be a Konoha ninja. The blond ninja was understandably suspicious of his motives, but he had not changed so much from his childhood that Jin's story did not bring a tear to his eye. Jin remembered the conversation . . .

"She dies in my arms . . . and I swore to her I'd find my purpose in life. Only two people have ever accepted me . . . and they're both dead. I want to make sure that it doesn't happen again."
Tears streamed down Naruto's face, and he clenched his fists tightly.
"He's just like me . . . I used to never have anyone accept me, but then I got precious comrades who care about me, and helped me feel more appreciated."
"Hokage-sama, we must help this ninja!" This was a certain green clad ninja, around the age of the Hokage. Tears streamed down from his eyes in larger rivers than Naruto's, if that was possible. "The springtime of his youth shouldn't be wasted in sadness! Alright! Let's give him a chance!"
"Hokage-sama . . ." A short, rather lazy looking ninja spoke. Naruto took no notice. "HOKAGE-SAMA!" Naruto looked at the ninja suddenly.
"What?"
"He could be lying."
Rock Lee interjected. "No, he must be telling the truth, a face like that could not lie!"
Jin did his best to look honest.
"You're right Lee. Shikamaru, put Jin on the ANBU register and find him a mission."
Shikamaru sighed. Once Naruto had made up his mind there was be no changing it."Hokage-sama, maybe it would be best if we just made him a normal jonin for now . . . just until he settles in."
"Oh alright."
Shikamaru led Jin off into his office, where he officially put him in the Jonin rolls and gave him a leaf forehead protector.
"Frankly, I don't trust you, so I'm giving you a low level C-rank mission." He handed Jin the mission scroll. "There shouldn't be any problems . . . If you're legitimate."
"I understand your suspicions, but be assured that I am being completely level with you. The records should bear out that I have no love for Mist."
Shikamaru shrugged, and tossed him the key to a small apartment located within the Jonin quarter. A perk of the job. After he reached the apartment and had a shwoer, Jin opened the scroll. He was assigned to escort a group of Jonin and a few chunin to Earth, where they would be leading Earth Genin for several months as part of a diplomatic initiative to build bilateral ties. Jin was not himself assigned genin, he was merely there, according to the scroll, to observe and ensure that things went smoothly. In other words, they were sending him there so they could keep an eye on him and see if he attempted to contact someone from another village, while making it look like they trusted him. Impressive for Shikamaru to come up with something like that as quickly as he did, but it was not for nothing that he was known as the smartest ninja alive.

Jin was getting bored. He wished the genin would hurry up and do something. If the trial lasted for the full night, he would have to find somewhere where he could see well. This test looked interesting. A genin cell with 3 kunoichi was very unusual. If the girls were close enough friends it was possible that they could avoid the descent into bitching and backstabbing that inevitably happened when more than two girls were put in the same group for an extended period of time. However, it did not appear as though they knew each other extraordinarily well. The presence of a fairly attractive male jonin didn't help matters, especially as he was only a few years older than them. Jin settled back and waited for the fight to begin.

Yuya was hiding. In a tree. Watching. Waiting. Pretending to be an owl.

"HOOT HOOT"

"HOOT HOOT"

A real owl flew over to his tree and gave him a look of disdain.

Yuya began a staring contest with the owl.

The blue haired girl that was trust into the three man (or woman) team was trying not to vomit. In the space of one day she had gone from her comfort zone to complete and total mayhem.

It all started out decent enough. She knew she'd have to be removed from her regular public classes and her private tutoring at home. She would then be put into a three man team. That's when things started to go down hill. She was placed with the bastard child of that Suki woman. Although she didn't know the woman personally, she'd heard rumours of her from other Masachika. Supposedly from the Sound Village or something. Foreign to the Earth Villages at least. Also bearing a child out of wedlock without any sort of gain from it. It was revolting to the elders of her clan. Not only that but the girl seemed less into human contact than Yui herself. Some kind of angst fest in her own little pity party. As if she had any reason to think the world was so awful to her.

Then that Miko girl. The brightest rays of sunshine would even think that girl was over the top with her cheeriness. Yui could barely tolerate her presence across the room, much less within five feet of her. This was a punishment, wasn't it? Her clan saw her as a little plaything, didn't they? Now she was going to be stuck with the emo girl and sparkly sparkly sunshine. Great.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they now had to deal with some high and mighty bloodline ninja from that leaf village. There was nothing she liked about the boy. He was full of himself and to be completely blunt he seemed like a jackass. Perhaps he was here for a punishment. Well he wouldn't be the only one miserable from it.

Oh. A bell test. How wonderful. What now? Failure? At this point she honestly didn't care. There were other ways to become a ninja she was sure.

That emo girl was talking. What was this about? Oh. The bells. Right. Taijutsu. Yes, that was her forte. Not that it should matter to this Rin girl.

"At this point I would say calling his bluff. He cannot fail all of us. It would not fair well for what mission he has with training gennin here. But if you insist I will lend my assistance. I am not as worried as the rest of you about passing this test," She replied flippantly.

Miko was almost startled by the comments of her blue-haired classmate; she blinked hard as though the fact that the girl was even there had left her mind entirely, and because of her silence and lack of input unti this point she'd been delegated to being a fixture of the landscape.

"I guess...you're right that he shouldn't be able to fail us all," Miko squeaked uncertainly in the quietest of whispers, a finger rising to touch her lower lip as she contemplated the situation. "But he's still a foreigner. If he doesn't like it here and wants to go back home, he might be trying to get rid of the only obstacle in his way- us. Or what if he doesn't like girls? He kinda jumped when I got close to him. Or worse, I bet he's a pervert." Her golden eyes searched back toward the Jounin, making sure he showed no sign of having heard her.

"I'm all for following what RinRin thinks we should do." They'd hardly been a team for a couple of hours and she was already making pet names. "I don't do taijutsu so I can't distract him physically, but I do have a few tricks up my sleeves." A quick wink and a childish giggle showed that she was confident in what few skills she could put to use.

"I'll let RinRin do the planning, and Yumi...Yuki...whatever smart-alecy girl's name is can do physical attacks to swipe the bells, if that's what you've got planned." Miko lowered her hand and made a fist, pointing her thumb inward at herself. "Just give me a little time and trust that I know what I'm doing. Miko won't let you down!"

With that, the girl hopped out of their huddling circle and jumped a few steps in Hikaru's direction, putting her hands to either side of her mouth in a makeshift megaphone. "Heyyy, Konoha perv! Giving us all night was a big mistake, cause we'll have those bells out of your hands by nightfall! We're here to show you that a Leaf Jounin isn't any stronger than the five year olds at OUR academy!"

Her hands went to either hip as the girl stuck her tongue out, and with a giggle that sounded almost identical to the bells in Hikaru's grasp, she spun around toward the opposite direction and sprinted off toward the nearest rock outcroppings and out of sight. It would probably have caused a headache for anyone to attempt to identify what idiot plans that girl had in mind, if any.

Rin had expected her little meeting with her teammates to end well..just a little differently. She had expected the blue haired teammate to react just about as she did..but well the dumb one.. she proved to be even dummer then Rin had suspected. The moron had listened well to Rin and even added in that she felt that it would be to their advantage to work as a team, and even said to allow Rin with the planning but then..yes then..the dumb female ran off and threw herself completely into harms way alone, where she easily end up ruining this little tirade of theirs.

Rin shook her head for a second and then turned her body to the side and so that she was facing dead on with yummy. "Well there goes any sort of plan I might have had." She said in annoyance towards the blue haired girl. She suddenly wrapped her arms around herself and bit down in her lip, a small habit the girl had whenever she was deep into thought.

"Well, your idea of calling his bluff wouldn't really be to bad, we are clearly out numbered in terms of strength. The only way we have any chance to win is to trick him, we stand no chance in beating him with strength." She said and let her eyes flicker towards Miko for a second.

"I guess we can use this little situation Miko threw us into for our advantage, she is offering up quite a nice distraction. The guy will leave his whole back side open to an attack. If you swoop in nicely it will leave him cornered, with Miko up front.. you in back I could if we are lucky and this goes well swoop in towards the side and maybe grab the bell."

She shrugged and surveyed the situation for a second again. "Of course I can't 100% guarentee that will work, I am for sure not exactly an expert on battle tactics, but yeah..we did all just graduate yesterday." She said in annoyance once again at this test that her new leader threw at them.

"It is either that or I can try to offer another distraction from his back and you swoop in, you probably have more speed then me actually. Either way we need to have an attack at both the front and the back so that it is difficult for the leader to attack in all directions, this would leave him unable to protect the bells and make in very easy for us to have a third steal the bell." She offered fully.

"Either way, tell me what you think is best, I just want to get this over with. It would have been nice if the leader would have prepared us more for training, I don't think any of us came completely prepared for some stupid little test on our first day."

"I would not count on him being completely distracted by the moron," Yui quipped. "I'm sure he'd be expecting some type of diversionary tactic. And you obviously have not heard of the illustrious Hyuua clan of Konoha, have you?"

The girl had been taught which clans of each village were the most influential and powerful even as a very small child. It was information that would serve useful to them in case they ever needed a favor...or wanted to blackmail someone. Tucking a stray lock from her perfectly styled hair back into place, she sighed and continued when Rin didn't seem to understand what this man being a Hyuuga actually meant.

"Which means he can see behind him just as well as he can see in front of him. There is supposed to be some kind of blind spot, rumour has it, but my clan has never come across that information. On top of 360 degree vision, when completely activated the byakugan can also see chakra circulatory systems. When we use attacks involving chakra, we might as well set off an exploding tag telling him our location. Compounded with their own style martial arts called Gentle Fist, they can actually damage and/or temporarily disrupt the chakra system."

The information she was spilling would seem to any other ninja to be at least mildly interesting. However, she recited the details with little more enthusiasm than one would have reading the nutrition facts on the side of a cereal box.

"His test is nearly impossible for three rookie gennin to accomplish. Add in our blatant handicap chattering away over there, and we have even less of a chance," Yui pronounced with an air of finality.

But did she really want to be defeated so easily? Perhaps she could think of something to supplement their blatantly obvious strategies. Of course, they weren't properly educated in battle tactics from conflicts past. Another flaw in the lower masses' education system.

"However, if I were asked how to pass this awful test I would suggest the following. Use your idea of distraction, but swooping in for the bells would be practically useless. He will be expecting such an obvious strategy. Given his air of superiority, though, it is likely he has not studied our skills from our previous instructors. He does not know what we can do. If you distract him long enough and give me enough of an open shot, I may be able to swipe the bells from him using sebon. My aim is very good for a gennin of my age. If I can, I will aim it to lodge in a tree for one of you to retrieve. Not one person alone will have retrieved the bells so he cannot say only one will continue on. If you do not believe me then you can fight with the squeaky one about it because success or failure means very little to me at the moment. He will only fall this this tactic once, if at all, so anything after that will have to be completely rethought if we fail."

Hoping her strategy did not have any obvious flaws she may have failed to consider, she left the decision up to Rin. Her plan would not succeed without at least one of her teammate's cooperation.

The Owl won the staring contest. It cheated.

The show was getting interesting. Those little Genin girls had come up with plans, and were going to attempt to get that bell.

But what would happen next? Yuya needed Popcorn. He was sitting in anticipation.

Miko, luckily, was far from the range of being able to hear the insults being thrown her way. She for one believed that she was doing exactly what she was supposed to be- proving helpful in their quest. Miko wasn't entirely worried about failing it. As far as she was concerned, either they would work together and do well, or she'd have to bring up to her mother the obvious injustices of the Jounin leader, who likely was both sexist and biased entirely toward only furthering the success of his own village's Genin.

But it would never have to get that far. Oh, she had plans up her sleeves. Plans that ended in going home tonight to a warm bed and a tall mug of cocoa and marshmallows. Only, it would be a lot easier to think straight if that stupid owl would stop hooting in the not-so-far distance.

Alrighty. The girl plopped down into a crouching position, readjusting her sandal-straps in plain sight. Her hair, too, had to be kept neatly in place, of course...and then this poor dress. It was a shame that it would get ruined today, but there was no getting as much dirt out of it as she'd be dealing with. Oh well, it looked horrible with her complexion anyway.

Jumping back up again, the girl tossed a thumbs-up toward her teammates and offered them a toothy grin...before rushing off behind the rocks and being lost into the distant scenery.

Someone was here. Someone strong. Hikaru could feel it. His Byakugan scanned the vicinity and came upon a man with white hair. There was something oddly familiar about him, he was not someone Hikaru could discount. Should he postpone the graduation? The girls' lives might be in danger, perhaps even his own. The man didn't seem to have any ill intentions as of yet, so Hikaru reconsidered. It would be best simply to continue on and let prying eyes do as they will.

By now, Hikaru had deduced that the girls had more or less come to some conclusion. Sometimes, he wished the Byakugan was an ear jutsu, it was almost irritating seeing people plot against you right in front of you. Though, he had to admit, none other before had considered active planning and conspiring among themselves. Hikaru merely hoped they'd hurry up, had it been real combat, they'd probably already be dead a dozen times over. Women, none of them have ever been any good at being punctually on time.

He watched as the blonde walked away, of course, his eyes could still follow her easily. She was a shifty one, that girl. Hikaru contented that he might actually have to be wary of the three genin. He had no idea what they were capable of. One of them could be like the infamous Uchiha Itachi for all he knew. Though, to be quite frank, they did not look like much. At all. Even for genin.

"Are you done? Or would you like another hour?" Hikaru called to them, getting rather impatient. The faster these girls realized how incompetent they were, the better.

Jin was getting bored. Granted, it was a time honored custom of Ninja combat that opponents would wait patiently until the other was ready to begin, even if it meant watching them discuss a plan with their allies for 10-20 minutes, but these girls were taking entirely too long. They should have been able to come up with a workable plan by now. Silly girls. Jin leapt on top of the rock and looked around. There was another ninja in a tree across the rocky area the test was taking place on. Hmm. Maybe he would go watch with him when it came to night time. For now though . . . Jin hopped gracefully from rock to rock, avoiding the sight of the others, though the Hyuuga likely knew he was here, ending up crouching on a rock in front of Miko. He winked cheekily at her. He was always cheeky when he was bored, a fact which always surprised those who only knew his normal calm, serious self.

OOC: Sorry so slow..Chik and I are in University HELL!

IC: Rin looked at the Yummy girl, she was a little impressed. Rin had taken her fellow classmates to be way less intelligent then herself, but here, this Yummy girl well she was acting more then just..average, actually Rin would think she was being well rather genius here on observing their situation. Rin had felt her idea was pretty smart, but this Yummy girl her idea was more then that. Yummy had some insight into their little "enemy" here something Rin of course knew nothing about. Rin herself had half of the blood of an Konoha bloodline in her but yet she had never been aware that another Konoha bloodline even existed.

She ignored the sudden call out from their superior, they weren't going to give up just yet, especially when they had yet to really even get started. She nodded at Yummy in agreement and stood herself up right.

"I am pretty sure I can distract him. I have a Jutsu that a Konoha Ninja would never expect." She said and smiled at Yummy.

"You mention that he is a bloodline nin himself nay? Well I admit I knew nothing about his bloodline since you know I am not exactly from a highly informed clan as yourself." She said and flicked her dark eyes from Yummy to Hikaru.

"Shall I assume that he is most likely pretty informed on bloodlines himself?" She said towards Yummy.

"My birth father was a Konoha bloodline, so really his clan is the one I know anything about. I might not have the bloodline and probably never will since I only have half of his blood. But, I do the family jutsu, and I think using that and maybe in forming him I am a Uchiha will at least get his attention long enough for you use your senbon." She said rather quietly so only Yui would be able to pick up even one word he said.

"If my clan is anywhere as famous if not for the strength but for the down fall my mother informed me of, I can at least offer him the surprise factor." She said nodding.

"I guess we should at least give this a shot." She said and patted her side to make sure she had her ninja pouch on. She quickly tied up her hair into a bun so for one her hair wouldn't get into her face, and for another so if Hikaru got a back view of her he would see the famous crest on the back of her jacket. She then prepared herself and walked away from the semi circle she had formed with Yui.

"You think we are ready to give up just yet? Hyuuga boy you are gravely mistaken. You might have your powerful eyes, but you greatly underestimated all of us." She said and standing a few feet away from him. Without speaking she formed the familiar signs to all Uchiha, the the Great Fireball technique and quickly released the Jutsu. She stepped back in wait for his reaction, for a Jounin vs a Genin she didn't expect this Jutsu to in any form defeat the Hyuuga but it should at least catch up off guard.

"Hyuuga, you think you are the only one here who comes from a Konoha bloodline well..let me tell you why you should have listened to a small introduction from all of us before attempting to blow us all away." She said before attempting her next move.

"My full name is Uchiha Rin. Daughter of your famous ninja Uchiha Sasuke." She said and smiled at him smugly.

"From what I understand he his quite famous in your village is he not? Famous for being the sole survivor of the mass slaughter of your clan, and also from what heard from my mother and other he is also famous for defeating some very powerful enemies of your clan." She said hoping this distraction was at least working a little bit.

"Now you want to test to see if I am lying? Really isn't to smart to under estimate us just because we are Genin." She said tsking him.

"Though really Hyuuga quite the bully you are, throwing this impossible task at us, just so you can go home and brag you defeated two untrained bloodline nin. I would think they would find it impressive to say you defeated an Uchiha, though really I would think it would be a little more impressive if you gave us three the chance to be trained..give me a couple years to at least achieve Chuunin and then our battle would be a little more famous then you bullying me right here." She said preparing herself to use that Jutsu again after her long tirade she just gave him.

Though the Uchiha girl was growing long winded, Yui was impressed to find she actually was related to the Uchiha clan. Some ninja claimed to be related, but this girl seemed to have the background to prove it. Interesting...

Yui had since taken position in tall grass, where she could get a better angle and properly aim for the bell. One shot. That's all. As long as he didn't rush at Rin like an idiot, which she trusted the man was not. Being Jounin at this age implied would not be an imbecile. Unless Konoha was completely idiotic. From what she heard about their Kage, however...

Focus. She needed to focus. There would be time to ponder this later. Now...

She let the sebon fly. She was sure it would find it's mark. If said mark did not move. Though the speed she through the sebon barely let the enemy even a glimpse of the weapon, to her it's flight felt slow, burdened. This plan depended on her projectile finding it's mark. If it didn't...well she wasn't going to grind out another stupid plan anytime soon, that was for sure.

"You're that Sasuke's child?" Hikaru asked Rin in reply, cocking an eyebrow up as he did. "Interesting, I hope you won't disappoint then," It was all Hikaru said, his expression remained indifferent and unchanging as if the news barely had any effect. It didn't. Even if he knew for sure she wasn't lying to get some sort of upper hand, Hikaru had long learnt that hesitating due to surprise in battle was fatal. Even if the enemy reveals a secret unforseen weapon, there was no time to waste upon such a useless action as being surprised.

Listening coldly to Rin's rant, Hikaru interjected finally with a sarcastic "Did you plan on bragging and whining like a brat until I give up out of disgust? Or will call me more names so that my feelings will get hurt?" These Earth village girls sure were spoiled. Rin was certainly as arrogant as a real Uchiha. What was she trying to accomplish by boasting about her family heritage and complaining about the difference in strength? It wasn't like Hikaru asked them to defeat him. That was impossible. All they had to do was retrieve a single bell from his person.

In the corner of his eye, Hikaru picked up the presence of a single metallic object. He picked the senbon thrown at him out of the air like it was a chopstick, holding it between his thumb and his index finger. He wasn't sure what she was trying to do by throwing a single projectile at a Hyuuga, after all, they had eyes better then anyone. If she herself had thought the speed was slow, how fast could it have really been to the Byakugan?

Sighing heavily, Hikaru pulled from within his Jounin flak jacket a long piece of black cloth. Tiwrling it around his head so that it covered his eyes, he tied it tightly at the back. A blindfold; Hikaru took away from himself the greatest asset of any Hyuuga. "Perhaps now you'll stop your bitching and fight?"

"Oh Shit." Rin thought to herself as she saw their thought out plan demolish in the matter of seconds. Not only had she failed at surprising the Hyuuga but Yui didn't get the glory of missing the target, no, the target saw her move coming from over a mile away. Now Rin felt that she was really stuck in a bind, she was left out in the middle of the battle field, while at least Yui was alone in the bushes. Rin had no chance of thinking of some other better plan with the Yummy girl for that would mean leaving the center of the field which could be slightly dangerous.

"I wasn't bragging and I was attempting to fight you." She said and at that she black flipped back a few feet, she had very few jutsu's she knew at the moment other then a few school requirements so really the best she could do was use those mixed with a few taijutsu against Hikaru.

"This is damn near impossible." Rin thought surveying their scene a little more. She let her eyes fall into the bell at his waist and bit her lip. The senbon idea was the best idea they had got but with Hikaru's eyes they were nothing. She sighed heavily, Yui's second plan of giving up was really looking better every second.

'The real skill of a Ninja is knowing when to run away.' Rin thought to herself chanting off some advice she remembered from school.

'I guess I can see how well his eyes work with that little mask on.' Rin thought to herself as she reached into her ninja pouch and pulled out some smaller kunai. She she backflipped a couple more feet and jumped up until she had herself concealed within a tree and aimed herself carefully and tossed the kunai off at Hikaru. She made sure to alter the direction some just to see if he did manage to dodge all. If she could muster up a survillance long enough maybe she could find where he had a slight blind spot caused by the blind fold.

"Damn distractions don't work against him, he totally ignored my attack, Yui's senbon failed, and even with Miko and me distracting him he didn't seem to blink at all." She thought to herself as she observed. Her leader was a true menace in battle nothing acted as a advantage for them. They were three recent graduates with maybe one or two jutsu's they each knew. The chance of success for this little training group was maybe 13% at best and that was with all three of them working together..Rin felt failure written all over this.

Yuya was watching with keen interest. He thought that since the girls needed a little bit of help, he could change the situation for them. He could distract the no fun guy.

"Hi" A buxom lady was standing behind the no fun guy.

"Do you care for a coffee, tea, or maybe me?"

All this while he was still in hiding. He loved his Jutsu's.

(-____-;;; Geez. Just geez. *tries to maintain temper*)

Hikaru didn't need to dodge the kunai, for many advanced Hyuugas took a liking to emitting a slight chakra presence around themselves; a presence strong enough to deter projectiles off course, even if slightly. The kunai whirled past the side of his head, coming relatively close. As he thought, having no sight was very disadvantageous to a Hyuuga. Rin was testing the murky waters. Finally, she was doing something ninja like, instead of just complaining. Hikaru almost believed that the team actually stood a chance of passing. Almost.

Reflexively, Hikaru aimed to strike down five chakra points at the two shoulders, the stomach and the thighs of the person who had the sheer audacity, or rather stupidity, to involve themselves in what was obviously not their fight. Realizing immediately afterwards that it was some sort of illusion, it irked him that there was such a moronic person about in [i]their[/i[ training grounds. Hikaru did not need any interruptions in his exam, he would not allow it. Pulling up a slight fraction of his blindfold, Hikaru regained access of his Byakugan. Easily locating the rude intruder, and as an added bonus, he chanced upon Rin's location, Hikaru replaced the blindfold over his eyes. Then, poising himself, Hikaru crossed his outstretched arms over and from each of his open palms, Hikaru fired a violent Eight Trigrams Empty Palms in both Rin and the idiot's direction.

"eep."

Yuya was afraid of whatever that dude fired at him. It wasn't going to be good. It probably meant pain. Painful pain. Whatever it was, he wasn't staying around to let it hit him. He was running awa....

He was out cold.

...

"Luke, I am your father."

"Dad?"

"Luke"

"Dad?"

"LUKE!"

"DAD!!"

Comence soft music and hugging of flesh and black metal.

....

He awoke with an "Ow"

Rin glared her eyes for a second in the direction of the Hyuuga, he PEEKED, here she thought the guy had decided to give her and her team a small advantage for a second..and NOPE he cheats and spots her in a instant JUST GREAT.

Rin was only allowed a brief second to moan in her annoyance before the Hyuuga fired some sort of jutsu in her direction. Rin leaped up for the branch above her and swung her body up just in time to miss this deadly jutsu. After the jutsu pissed her she strattled with her legs the branch above her and swung her lower part down so her upper body was hanging down wards. Her eyes widen at seeing the result from that silly ninja who had attempted to help her.

'Good thing that thing didn't hit me.' Rin thought to herself. That Hyuuga wasn't holding back any..if Rin had gotten hit by the jutsu well..there was no getting up any time soon. She wished for Yui or Miko to try something so that this Hyuuga's attention span wouldn't be entirely focused on her. They were supposed to be a team yet Rin felt singled out.

"I guess I will have to use that jutsu again." she said feel the weakness of expelling so much Chakra. Still upside down she once again again started the hand signs for the great fireball technique and expelled it in the direction of the Hyuuga. She felt that as a new ninja she really didn't have much fight left in her..she needed her other teammates.
