"So, why is that dirt patch on your crotch, you didn't wash off after attempting to reunite with your girlfriend?"

As it is, the only light came from the bright spotlights lighting both the fighting area and the brilliant stars in the sky Alas, the beauty of the clear night is lost on the crowd, notably eager for the delayed match to begin. Besides the obvious hazard of falling off the side of the building or through the skylight, the match's red headed referee ntoes that, much like the apst few matches, they seemed to be taking place on more level playing fields, as opposed to the rather ahzard filled arenas in the last few weeks.
Ah well. Both competitors were now here and, oddly, had been waiting for quite awhile. Apparently, "her royal highness" Ms. Alcott had demanded a delay for unknown reasons, but it seemed the woman was now pleased and "allowed" the match to finally take place. Meh. Sure, whater the ref thinks, he's just here to do the job, whoc ares who's paying the checks.

Z wasted no time. Skye fell to the floor, whither it was out of fear or a purposeful evasive maneuver or both, and just barely evaded the attack. If he had not done that a split second later, KO would have been an understatement.
RUN.
Skye's fight-or-flight response kicked in like a bolt of lightning, and he immediately started scrambling to his legs to run away. That thought of getting away was all that filled him. That sword... It was too dangerous... too...
Skye ran like the wind, though it was no long before he reached the edge of the skyscraper. If Skye had not already been scared out of his wits, he would have likely been overcome by vertigo simply from looking down the many floors. In fact, in his adrenalized, almost hyperventilating state, he breifly considered jumping over the edge to escape. He looked else where though. The skylight and the audience. That was all there was. Nothing to work with. No higher that would have at least given him some psychological boost. There was nothing to do.
Trapped.
No escape.
No way to win.
No way to survive.

What a shame, he was hoping to have some fun with this one, but business comes before work.
With a laugh that would put the Grim Reaper to shame, he brought his sword up, and then down in a vertical slash at Skye.

Hit.
Acting upon that single instinct, Skye threw the bit of quarterstaff he had remaining at Z's head in some pitiful attempt to injure him. It was just after that when Skye realized the futility of what he just did.
Run.
Skye ran like the wind, trying to think at the same time. Making Z walk onto the skylight occurred to him, but that was unlikely.
Just run. That was all he could do for now.

So he couldn't corner Skye, and he was too fast to hit normally. So Z improvized; hefting his massive sword like a throwing spear, he sent the weapon sailing through the air at his opponent.

Awn wandered off to get the whiskey and chips. Along the way, he encountered a one armed competitor who'd been wiped out in a previous round.
"Whatcha Lookin at?" She said in a grotesque manor.
"Your ugly arm."
"You mean the arm that I lost in battle/"
"No, the one thats still left."
She looked at him. He looked at her. She looked at him.
Awn got his drinks and snacks and tried to walk away. But she blocked his path.
"You'll have to pay to get past here."
"Oh yeah, and whats the price?"
"My Fist."
Awn looked at her. This couldn't've been correct. She only had one arm. She didn't have a weapon. She didn't even look ready to fight. But she was strong, and tough, and angry.
So Awn Ran past her as fast as he could while holding on to his food. She realised that he'd bolted and chased after him.
....
....
...
... ( I like dots)
...
Awn reached the stand and sat next to the man that had most recently beat him up, trying to hide from the woman that wanted to beat him up.
"Heres the food, now if a hulk of a woman comes by, hide me."

?I... I... I...? he stuttered over and over, as though his brain could not comprehend what just happened, ?I... I am...?
Still alive.
Injured, but still alive. Z threw his sword. He was now separate from his weapon. He was still formidable, but he had no blade.
?I can win.?
But how exactly? Skye then thought, looking around himself. He could still win. The environment did have something he could use, something he so readily dismissed. Something that was so obvious, that it had been yelling at him the entire time.
Skye took off as fast as he could towards the crowd, jumping over the barricade. There was a sudden uproar as everyone parted to try to get away from the rushing fighter. Ruynning up the open bar, Skye yanked a large bottle of whiskey from some poor barkeep (?Pay ya back!?), only stopping again to yank a cigar from the mouth of the guy who was hoping to enjoy the now taken drink.
?You won't kill me!? Skye shouted hysterically as he charged at Z.
When he was just enough, Skye threw the bottle to Z's feet. And soon after, as the broken glass flew threw the air, the lit cigar was tossed onto high-proof alcohol.

It... it didn't work...
Skye's vision managed to refocus, seeing Z approaching him, perhaps to deliver the coup de grace. His eyes meandered a bit after, before focusing on another thing, his staff. Or at least, the sizable portion that had been separated from him at the start of the fight. It was practically useless, but it was something to work with.
In a sudden burst, Skye went for the piece of his staff, though he quickly slowed down as the pain in his ribs took effect. Snatching up the piece, Skye made another run at Z. He tossed the staff piece haphazardly as he made a broad turn back towards the crowd.
Something, anything in there has to work...

Giving up at this point is not so bad.
That thought mingled with what sounded like speech from the announcer.
They are probably ready to announcement the victor. Do not worry anymore about this silly fighting.
Just as the darkness began to close around him, one thing lanced through him just the pain had.
Those who ceaselessly chase their wish rarely die with regrets.
For Skye, that fortune had become a source of encouragement and pain. Right there in that moment, as the few tiny moments seemed to stretch out into eternity, a mantra formed in Skye's thoughts, a single phrase that if nothing else would keep him inspired for the next small while.
?It seems that the winner, by knockout is... wait a minute, what is...?? the announcer had begun.
Skye slowly brought himself up, a new determination driving his wrecked body.
?I will not give up...? he muttered to himself.
Skye's eyes refocused as he brought himself up. He looked back, seeing that Z had already retrieved his sword. What was to be done? Skye then looked back towards the crowd. Skye knew that he could not get near Z because of that sword, but he did not feel that the Molotov cocktail trick would work so well. It was then that Skye realized he did not need fire to make the alcohol dangerous. He went as fast as he could, going back up to the bar again to see that a cart mostly filled with alcohol was sitting right there. The barkeep simply backed away, not wanting to meddle in whatever business the fighter thought of.
With the cart in tow, Skye dragged himself back out to the actual fighting area. As Z advanced on him, Skye took whatever willpower he had and kept himself planted in place. His knuckles were clenched and white.
Run. Run. Run. RUN. RUN!
?I will not give up,? Skye spoke to himself, ?I will not give up, therefore, I will have no regrets.?
Every part of Skye's being told him to disregard that stupid philosophy. Even as he began to repeat the phrase, he did not believe a word of what he was saying. As Z came into range, with the unbelieved thought being repeated on Skye's lips, he charged forward and tossed every bottle that had been on that cart.
The bottles shattered in brilliant explosions of glass shards. Skye was so haphazard in his aim, that half of the bottles never came close to Z. The accuracy mattered little though. While much of the glass crashed ineffectively against Z's armor, it only took a couple shots to the face to knock him down. Even as Z fell back, Skye kept tossing bottles until the cart was empty.
Skye, exhausted, leaned on the empty cart.
?Well, it seems that the winner by knockout is Skye Monahan!?
A small smirk crossed Skye's face.
?Won one.?
And with that, Skye let go of the cart and fell to the floor, unconsciousness overtaking him before he could even feel the fall.
