Okay this randomly popped into my head the other day and I can't get it out.

idk how well it would work but this idea's been bothering me and I have to tell someone.

Think it would ever be possible to have a guys only and girls only subforums? Almost like boys and girls bathrooms where we can get together (Everyone, would only be exclusive via-gender)

(idk what MK would do)

But it would be kind of like a hang out? Somewhere where girls can gossip or talk about boys things and boys can... poop together? (idk what boys would do or talk about) but hey I think it would open doors for girls to be more open and stuff. I know some of my girlfriends are only open with other females, maybe there are girls like that here that want to open up but don't feel like they want to in front of EVERYONE.

Perhaps we could even have little competitions between the sexes?

idk, the idea is small but hey I think you mods could make it big!

Mold the clay! It begs for molding!

<_<

Annnnd that's my idea.

I suppose I can see where you'd feel....a little more secure saying certain things to an audience of all-your-gender, but a few questions arise in my head at the idea of this. For one, what sort of CONTENT would you want to speak of that you wouldn't feel comfortable discussing to everyone? Sex stuff, for instance, can only go so far even in the Life section. And in the end I can only see separate sections being their own versions of "Life": otherwise, what sort of topics would you even want to put in it? Then there's obviously a somewhat larger population of guys than girls, and even if you post "Guys only" or "girls only" in the description the opposite gender is bound to at least look in, if not break the 'rules' and post just to show that they can.

Guys vs Girls competitions can be done outside of this idea, of course. Feel free to try to spread that idea and get others to think of things you could do for such a battle...it could really prove fun. Of course, it'd be hard once again to split people into places that the enemy can't see (there are so many members who have an undefined gender, and I can't really see us making "Boy" or "Girl" usergroups), but it's not too hard to think of other ways to do it. ^^

Haha ^^;

I wouldn't mind not being able to see any. But the idea itself is kinda...uneeded, as Chik said, what would you talk about that you cannot say outside? If it's about another member, might as well PM it! ^^

Well I was thinking it would be like a private forum for whatever gender - like password protected?

Hmmm well examples (I thought of some but I guess I forgot to post them XD)

Like for guys they might want to discuss something like "Dude what do you do about a raging boner at school?"

or "Ass or boobs?" XD

And what guy wants to hear a girl talk about her menstruation cycle? I mean I know I used to have a lot of questions, and I know I'm curious to see if anyone else has the same.... "deal with the red devil" that I do but I'm not going to make a thread about it in life.

XD those are the only two things I can think of (thus far)

**crappiest examples EVER btw**

hmmm yeah I'm sure there are more things and (if it goes through) people will think of topics appropriate. Of course mods or admins COULD be more lenient when it comes to sex or sexual issues in the private forums because they will be private and "locked" (least that's what I would hope for)

-There could be something like you can get in after a certain post count or whatever like the dorms so we know only active members will be in, which would kind of make them more active... ugh I worded that terribly but I'm to tired to think of how to acutally say it.

REWORD:

Implementing a required post-count in order to obtain the password into the Gender subforums would help with the activity and survival of the subforums. By only allowing members (of their designated gender) into the forum with a higher post count (up to the mods/admins to decide) would ensure that only active forum members would be present in the new subforums thus ensuring activity.

*sigh* sounds better? I think so.

Now than, the question has popped into my head:

What if someone changes gender? Well, for the most part we know who's what, but there are some that are in question. What could be done, if those people would wish to join one of the forums (but keep their gender a secret or not publically post a photo of themselves) they could PM or email one of the admins they're gender and a recent photo of themselves in order to obtain the password.

Just an idea to a question I think some might have.

Okie, my dinners ready.

I've got a question.

When you girls are wearing a tampon, don't you find it weird to have a bit of string... dangling out?

[Edit] Btw, I don't really see much point in these forums, but they could be fun I guess. So uhm.. I guess I wouldn't really care either way. XP

I think it would be overly complicated to have gender-only subforums, as it would require new permission groups and sorting dozens upon dozens of accounts manually. I don't think there's an option for mods to divide groups up by gender. I've never seen one. I think most people here are mature enough to discuss things, regardless of mixed company. One of my old dorms was actually really, really good about that. It helped that we were all close, though.

Besides, only girls and man-pussies post in the Emo section as it is. :o

OMG, KIDDING.

So for girls only and boys only talk, I'd much assume that that be taken to instant messaging. It's much less hassle. As for a battle of the sexes competition, I would consider that a strong possibility in the future. Either in-dorm competitions, or for everyone. In some way or another.

XD well that's cool!

Yeah I didn't know how the sorting thing would work, I was thinking more of a sign up instead of sorting EVERYONE, you know just having people apply?

But since the idea's been trashed, its all gone and done with.

Gender competition FTW!

And Vet, yes its weird.

O.o

*Freya wonders if Vet has some odd fetish...

probably *shrugs*

Umm... if someone sent a picture to the admins so that he/she could get into a forum, but wanted to remain secret-gendered... wouldn't just being able to post in the forum kind of give away that person's gender?

And I don't think the strings feel weird, provided they're positioned properly.

I think a Neutral and Undisclosed forum would have to go alongside the other two. I'd totally join a Neutral/Undisc group.

Nah, that doesn't work... I am perfectly fine with other guys, as always. Most of my friends are straight guys, and those who aren't are straight girls...

So boys with boys and girl with girls.

The thread title reminds me of the nursery rhyme...
Girls and boys come out to play, the moon doth shine as bright as day, etc...

But on topic, it probably wouldn't work. Why would we even need seperate gender a\reas for one thing, and for another it's impossible to be sure someone's the gender they say they are.

(I want to hear the rest of the rhyme!)

Anyway the ideas been chopped up and is now dead and digested so...but it sounds like we might possibly have a battle of the sexes sometime! That should be fun ;)

Girls and boys, come out to play,
The moon doth shine as bright as day;
Leave your supper, and leave your sleep,
And come with your playfellows into the street.
Come with a whoop, come with a call,
Come with a good will or not at all.
Up the ladder and down the wall,
A half-penny roll will serve us all.
You find milk, and I’ll find flour,
And we’ll have a pudding in half an hour.

I don't have a fetish, well, I might do, but not about tampon strings! It's one of those questions that you just have to ask at some point! :D

I believe I have far to many fetishes, which shouldn't be discussed... but see now, if we had a GIRLS forum I'd totally want to chit-chat about different female fetishes, but I know if we started blabbing here every single boy would have to...er you can put two and two together.

I'm a eunech.
