Also, been playing through Fire Red. I remember Misty being a tough one if you picked Charmander, but that move Water Pulse is just BRUTAL. At least she didn't use more than 1 super potion like she used to.
And did Charmander always know Metal Claw? That one seems new to me...

I guess they just added it so you could actually do decent damage against Brock. Like Combusken getting Double Kick for Roxanne, and Monferno getting Mach Punch.
In fact, maybe the Rock gym first thing is what caused all the Fire/Fighting starters... Though, that doesn't account for Gen V, so maybe not.
Hm, my DS connects just fine... So presumably my internet isn't particularly secure? Well, at least we're not using totally open linksys any more.

The whole Steel type is crazy and wrong!

You may have WPA enabled, which isn't horrible, but if it's WEP, there's videos on youtube on how to crack it in 2 mins. WPA2 is about as secure as you can get on a home router, and pokemon supports 1 level down (WPA) but it's not as secure.

I'm aiming for a Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure with the Heat Wave move. Trouble is, it can only get the move through breeding, and the only Pokemon it can breed with capable of learning Heat Wave is Slugma/Magcargo. Sounds simple enough, but in order to teach a Slugma/Magcargo Heat Wave, you need the aid of the Move Tutor in HG/SS who deals in Battle Points. I don't know about you, but I for one can't stand the Battle Frontier. The situation also isn't helped by the fact that I'm not at the point in B/W where I can do the PokeTransfer, nor do I have two Nintendo DS's to pull it off with.
So I'm going to need some help from the forum here. If someone can manage it, I would like the following:
Pokemon: Slugma (or) Magcargo
Gender: Male
Learned Moves: Heat Wave*
To be traded to: Pokemon White
* - Costs 48 BP at the Move Tutor in the Battle Frontier.
I'm not exactly sure how tough of an task I'm setting here, so just so you know: I don't have to keep the traded Slugma/Magcargo. I'll happily trade it back when my business with it has concluded. If it were possible I'd do all of this crap myself, but I simply can't. So if anyone can help me out, with this, I'd be very grateful.
Pokemon White Friend Code: 3310 4308 9139
P.S.: A female Slugma, not needing Heat Wave, would also be nice so I can make some more Slugmas with Heat Wave, just in case you want the originals back. I'm not through the main game yet, so I don't know how far I am from catching a Ditto.
P.P.S.: Also looking for a Vullaby, will trade a Rufflet for it.

Um, I had to make a Chandelure with Heat Wave for my VGC team, so I can probably easily breed you an extra Slugma or Litwick. My intemediary breeding Liwick actually forgot Heat Wave whilst I was generating the egg, but I still have the Slugma on my file. The most annoying one was making a Hitmonchan with Detect, Mach Punch and Drain Punch to father my baby Conkeldurr. What times can you trade?

If it's not too much trouble, a male Slugma with Heat Wave for breeding purposes would be great. I'm not totally sure what I can offer you in exchange, though... are there any White-exclusive or obscure B/W Pokemon that you need? Maybe Thundurus to help you trigger the Landorus event or something (though you would have to trade it back eventually)? Just a thought.
Anyway, trading times: I'm going to bed right now, so... yyyeah, I'll be up around eight hours or so from now, so any time from there on. I know that's not a good time if you're not a night owl like me, though...

Though, it's not as if it doesn't take any work to RNG - in some situations, it takes a lot more effort than IV breeding for just two flawless stats would do. I do make sure to never use Pokégen/Action Replays/etc!
If you want to get a feel for competitive battling when people aren't available for wifi, I'd suggest checking out Pokémon Online. It's an online battle simulator you can use to see what movesets work well and so on.

I need a Snivy, Tepig and/or a Reshirm (sp.?) so I can finally complete my dex in White. Can I get some help?
