I made this gif with a program called "UnFREEz". The single frames I edited myself.

Good stuff JR. The framerate does seem to slow somewhat near the end though.

Reminds me of the time I made a 840 slide powerpoint that acted as a lightsaber dueling gif.

Blame the school computers for having to use powerpoint <_<

Yeah I just noticed that. I have no idea what I did to do that though.

i used unfreeze a long time ago.
in fact i think rova's blue scrolling sig was made with unfreeze.
what causes it to slow down is if you've put in too many frames. so try to subtract every other frame at wherever you think there's a slowdown. it looks fine to me though, i personally like the gradual fade effect induced by more frames. although, it would be better i think if the background was transparent, which to my knowledge is not doable with unfreeze.

Would you happen to know of any alternatives to UnFREEz?

Well there's always imageready, which comes with photoshop, or I think fireworks has some gif editing abilities.
