According to the shop guy, they can't even use bows and arrows. I severely doubt the Oocca were using the dominion rod for anything (there weren't any statues in their city, were there?).. Temple of time, sure, but ... that was definitely not the Oocca's, the goddesses built that specifically.. actually the way I remember it, the royal family or the sages did it, at the point where the opening to the sacred realm was (so when the ToT moves, as it does frequently, THOSE locations don't have the sacred realm-portal, and nothing indicates they do. There.)...The Dominion Rod? The Temple of Time? The flying city? That's all technology, is it? Yes, they have high technology too, but a lot of their technology is based around magic. There's a close similarity with the Tower of the Gods in TWW, actually.
When has the bird motif ever had a large round head, especially a HUMAN head? It's always been an eagle, not a clumsy fowl. And it's not entirely out of left field, y'know. The bird motif, often appearing with a large round head, is regularly seen throughout the series, mainly on Link's shields. Or am I the only one who noticed this obvious connection? Just look at Link's shield in The Minish Cap.
... I dunno, man, unless the Oocca were some giant joke, I find it really hard to believe they even belonged there. Their city looked like it had been in ruins long before some dragon showed up.. ivy everywhere, broken pillars in rooms where Argorok couldn't have even entered, and nothing in the entire city but plain walls and other masonry. Nothing to even indicate anything goes on but walking around (and occasional shopping I guess)... I mean, by THIS point, a city has to actually look like a city, right? We're not in the 8bit days anymore. ... there's just more to their story, is all I'm saying. They've degenerated, or something.. which would explain why their technology is all ancient even to them.
