What about the fishing rod?
I've tried it and it actually works in distracting Ganon, allowing you to get in quickly and slash him up. What I don't get is how you can use the bug catching net or the bottles to make ALttP and OoT Ganon/Ganondorf battles easier.

No, it's someone trying to beat Ganondorf with weird equipment. Note how he's doing the three heart challenge, and has iron boots and a Zora's tunic on, as well as the smallest wallet and magic meter...Is that from a speedrun video, Showsni?

Yup, works against the first phase of TP's final battle, too.

Makes me wonder if the Shovel works against Phantom Ganon in FSA.

I wouldn't be surprised if a weird weapon had an effect on the balls of magic. Now, was there a magic pong battle in any of the Oracle games? I forget.

I don't think you could use bottles in that game, though... At least, not to capture things with.
