No, just...no. An Xbox or PS2 Zelda would just flat out ruin the series. Kind of like an M-rated Mario game.

Every console will have its exclusive games and Zelda is Nintendo's.

Whereas XBox had Halo (a real winner), Halo 2 coming in 12 months, and quite a few very good games.
Coming in 1 month, you mean.
And no, Zelda on Xbox would totally ruin the experience.

We'll see Zelda on XBox around the same time that Age of Empires port makes it to Gamecube.
Lousy RareWare stealing jerks!
Oh noes! THEY STOLE RARE! No more tedious fetch-quest neo-platformers for Nintendo! GAMING IS OVER!!!

Who here thinks that Zelda should be made for more then just the Gamecube?
HELL NO!!!
I moved to XBox because at the time of buying, Gamecube did not have enough strong titles to justify the upgrade. Whereas XBox had Halo (a real winner), Halo 2 coming in 12 months, and quite a few very good games.
X-Box may have more titles, but they only have a couple of good titles (most people seem to say Halo and Fable). Gamecube has more good quality games (Zelda, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros Melee, Starfox etc), whereas X-box mostly has multi-platform games.
Plus the fact that you have a built-in hard disk,
A hard disk is a moving part, and therefore another thing that can break easily.
(This thread is not an ad for XBox, for those of you are wondering).
LOL! That's great to hear!

If it was used by Sony, it would probably have some better RPG elements, and if used by Microsoft it would definately have better graphics, and more vast lands, but Nintendo owns Zelda, and nothing can change that.
maybe on the sony bit, but i don't see why... zelda invented half of the basic rpg concepts, sony just stole them. i don't see how they would be better, just more plentiful.
no on the microsoft bit... microsoft consistently fails to properly polish it's titles like nintendo. it would look no better, suffer from sucky controllers, and would be subject to bloated code that would hurt cpu power.
and it's a terrible idea to put zelda on anything but a nintendo console. we've seen time and time again that games work best if made specifically for one system. zelda especially shows this.

Think about it. When was the last time Rareware made a good game? Personally, I'd say it was Goldeneye or Banjo-Kazooie, whichever came later. Conke may have had good gameplay, but the toilet humor ruined it. Banjo-tooie was a horrible, tedious, boring fetch quest. Perfect Dark was Goldeneye, only worse. Jet Force Gemini was fairly good, until you realized that you were required to collect all those pathetic tribals.
So. Rare hasn't made a good game in... eight years. And Microsoft paid amazing amounts of money for the company.
That was... what? Two years ago now? Three? And Rareware has only made one Xbox game since then, and it got terrible reveiws.

Ah, well. I was unaware. Bunny never said that in this thread.
*ahem*
OH NOES!!!! NO MORE GAMES THAT WILL PROBABLY NEVER ACTUALLY BE MADE AND OF A GENRE THAT BELONGS ON PC!!!! GAMINGS IS OVER!!!!

Why the hell would the Zelda franchize need to move to other consoles when Nintendo is doing just fine in the hardware department? The day a Legend of Zelda title appears on the Gamecube is when Mike Peters becomes president of the G.L.A.D.D. XP

Actually, depending on which Zelda it was, that might not be TOO bad. But it's not going to happen. Not on any system besides Gamecube anway.

Zelda on another system?
That's about a 99.75 on my 'how-about-no-f***ing-way-ometer.'
Stoopid... just stoopid.
