Okay, so I've tried and tried, but can't see a way to get to that chest that sits above the little water pool at the south Hyrule castle gate. I've gotten the one ontop of the pillar, but I just can't figure out how to get to the other one.

I must be missing something ridiculously obvious...

Can someone give me a clue please?

I haven't gotten it, but I think you have to go through the sewers again somehow, because there is what looks like a slope leading back towards the town. I have an inkling it has something to do with that kitten looking for Telma's bar. Somehow, someway, you gotta introduce it to that fat white fluffy cat.

I think you are right, and there is a entry to the sewers there. But i am not sure of it, a hidden path could be hidden everywhere in the town...It doesn't even need to be in the town! I guess everyone knows those tunnels with a Piece of Heart in the end. This might be the reward of one of them. But if it is, that tunnel is probably the same as the sewers you talk about...

The tunnels do not lead to the chest, field, town, nor a piece of heart.

You must use the spinner for this chest.

Ah...That was quite obvious, indeed...
I would have figured it out, too, if i could play the game yet... But i have only seen it...
I have the Wii version, but i am still waiting for my Wii.
it was sold out very fast...

What is in it, anyway???

AND HOW CAN I DELETE MY LAST POST???

That chest ... I don't know if I EVER would have gotten it. The whole game through I was wondering if it was accessible yet, and what possible kind of item would make that possible... Then I accidentally read a spoiler about 'the group' helping you out in hyrule castle.. and I assumed that meant castle town.. and that some block would fall down or something.. XD
Turns out that even though I scoured the whole area for clawshot targets, I managed to miss one in a rather obvious spot.. which in fact leads to another chest (with judicious tightrope walking and edge-hanging-shimmying) which wasn't even visible.. and never would have been if I hadn't gotten fed up and checked a guide..
but THEN you drop down on to a ledge that isn't even visible and use the spinner.. man I love that spinner.. I just wish it was more about transportation and less about tricky difficult puzzle solving ^_^'

So I Have To Use A Spinner, Right? How Can I Use It To Get To That Chest?

100 or 200 Rupees, if I remember correctly.

Spoiler

The image above is for GameCube, so for the Wii version, the Clawshot target on the tower with the flag should be on the other side. You need to Clawshot up to that tower, and then fall down onto the ledge underneath the target. Connecting those two towers is the Spinner track, which you should get on; you need to wait until you get to the middle of the track and then jump off with the Spinner. From there, you should land right into the ledge where the chest is. ;)
