I have been seeing adds on the internet about a 2D side scrolling MMORPG by the name Maple Story. I was wondering if there was anyone here that has played or currently plays it because I am interested in playing. I am curious about characters and how the game really works in 2D and if it's fun or not, but it looks pretty fun.

I played it before. After a while it becomes repetitive. Just killing creatures to level up.

I play.. >.> I am almost a level 21 Warrior..I just started the game a couple weeks ago. Toan got me curious about it..so I downloaded it. My name is SatineLoire. I play I think in the Khaini (or something like that is it names..) server.

I'm..slowly but surely gonna get leveled up, if for no other reason than to finally get a weapon or two that Jaina has been saving for me... XD

Euch, I hate the grind in that game. I stopped playing months ago because it got boring. But I guess that's what I didn't like about all the MMORPG's I've played...

I played that a long, long, long time ago when it was first released in english, then tried it again earlier this year. Like it's been said, Maple Story takes way too much grinding time.

Heh, Maple Story. That thing is stealing my life. I rather enjoy it, although I see how it can be repetitive at times. It's really better to play it with friends or doing missions.

Thanks for the input. I downloaded it today and I'm level ten(yay ). But I can't get a job class because I stupidly raised my stats evenly and none of them are high enough for me to get a job

The name is Nunesu, server is Bellocan, hopefully I'll have a job soon. All though I don't exactly know what job I want, see you guys out there.

Its a same that we can't move our characters from server to server. I wonder if that will be possible someday?

Yeah I wish I could, I joined after Toan and I would love to be able to play with Toan but i can't since he is in another server. I have placed a lot of hours into Satine so I am hesitant to make another character for a while.

I think that generally it's to keep things less confusing, and especially less stressful for the servers (imagine if all the players in the International version all popped into one place? Or if all the versions, including the one that we use, the original Korean one, etc, all could combine?).

However, if they had the capability and actually wanted to put forth the effort, that'd rock. At least offering high-end and rare "tickets" to change servers.

How do you start it? It says don't bother downloading unless you have an account, and that Beta sign ups for accounts are now finished. That is the European site, though...

hmm I know I Just signed up at Nexon's site >.> I just made an account and then downloaded, but i am using the Americna I believe. http://maplestory.nexon.net/ you go there?

Precisely- you make your account through Nexon, THEN you download the game. It should work fine that way, although I understand that Europe's is the newest set of servers.
