Anyway, I made a rough comparison of the different maps of Hyrule from every game it has been in so far. Those games include TLoZ, TAoL, ALttP, OoT, FS, TWW, FSA, TMC, and TP

I made the comparisons in the picture I've linked by comparing the size of common landmarks and distances between them. For example, I matched the size of Spectacle Rock in TLoZ and ALttP to roughly the size of Spectacle Isle in TWW. I scaled TWW's map to OoT by making sure the distance between Death Mountain/Dragon Roost Island and the Kokiri Forest/Forest Haven was roughly equal.
This is why I think that people who assume Hyrule is the same size in every game don't take everything into account. Clearly TAoL has the biggest map of Hyrule, even though the technology used to make it isn't that great compared to the technology used on TWW or TP.
Again, I bring up the fact that this is a rough comparison, so everything isn't scaled to the exact detail. I understand that the size of Spectacle Rock can slightly vary from game to game. Still, this comparison is enough to let us know that Hyrule has purposely been widened in new(ish) Zelda games (OoT, TWW).
