In order to tackle the exponentially increasing presence of spambots and evil advertising whores, those who register at these forums are automatically put into the New Members usergroup.

This usergroup does not allow people to start a new topic. It does however allow them to post in an existing topic. As soon as they make one post, they will be promoted to the regular Members usergroup that has no posting restrictions.


What this also means though is that current members will also need to post in an existing topic in order to regain the ability to start threads. The board unfortunately doesn't move everyone already over 1 post from New Members to Members.

So if you get a permission denied message, you now know why.
