I'm curious... what is the point of the Cucco on top of Anju's (hen)house? I managed to get the ghost out of the way, negotiate my way around murderus little chicks, only to find that the Cucco doesn't want to fuse any Kinstones and doesn't give you any reward for risking life and limb.

Here's one assumption: Capcom originally wanted to include some sort of heart piece side-quest revolving around this Cucco mini-dungeon (shown on the town map as an 'entrance' after getting rid of the ghost).

Of course I can never confirm whether the designers wanted the player to fight or enter the Cucco, but like the "third oracle house" there are loads of these unfinished features in the game probably thanks to Nintendo's strict deadline.

But I thought the 3rd Oracle part was just a reference of their inability to do 3 Oracle games...

So, there is no point? Gee, the Minish Cap feels more and more like an unfinished piece of work the more I know about it.

Case in point, does anyone else find the Figurine System annoying?

Less annoying than in TWW. I hated the one day wait

Yes, because you often get a figurine you already have in your collection and the guy refunds it (stupid waste of time). Those shells become increasingly harder to find later on in the game, also the 999 shell limit is a real pain when you find chests full of them. >.>

In theory it was a great idea but the designers didn't test it to death or change the method before release date. I actually found finishing this 'side-quest' the most time consuming thing in all of Zelda.

On one hand, it's been a while since I played MC. On the other hand, I don't remember it being as time consuming as collecting the Triumph Forks in WW.

Really? And what would that be? I've tried using the Picolyte, but it just doesn't do the trick and buying it from Stockwell is also too slow.

You mean "Triforce", right? As in Triforce Pieces? If you mean actual Triumph Forks, then do tell.

I didn't find the figurine gathering too tedious... Just catch cuccos, buy shells, repeat. Spend shells one at a time for best odds.

Capcom should've been sacked for the piss-poor job they did with Minish Cap.

What do you mean by that? I wouldn't criticise Flagship studios that harshly because apparently it wasn't their fault; Nintendo demanded that the release of TMC coincided with the Gold Advance SP date so that game could only be about roughly 66-75% completed.

If given more time Capcom probably could have surpassed ALttP (I need to find citation again).

If a product is unavoidably inferior then the price should reflect it.

So the bombs should be 1 rupee,
The kinstone filled bread should be 100,
and kinstones should give you powers?

Bombs aren't inferior! Though I wouldn't mind if the cost only one rupee. I could turn all of Hyrule into a burning wasteland!

*Watchs Link seal DL for trying to destroy Hyrule after they declared bombs one rupee.*

I think DL needs to go to Link's Infinite List of Torture then he can torture Link.
