Wars of Hyrule, Part 1

Though the Imprisoning War was not the first war of Hyrule, I wish to bring it up first since it is the most known. When do you member-types believe the Imprisoning War took place? I'm not sure how many read that deep into the storyline or comics and such from Nintendo, so here is what is positive: The Imprisoning War was the battle which resulted in Mandrag Ganondorf Dragmire being sealed in the Golden Land, Sacred Realm, Dark World, whatever. So it has to be somewhere around the Ocarina of Time. The question is, When did the "Imprisoning War" occur. Just before, During, Just after or a combonation of these corresponding to OoT.

Some people, like myself believe that OoT is a split story, we only see half. After Link is sent back as a Child, the events could change.

Yeah, the Imprisoning War now takes place only in legend, because Ganon never came to power in the second timeline.

Which is why there should be no split timelines. There would be no basis for the legend of the Imprisoning War.

I think the great battle the IW talks about could've occured during the seven years while Link was in stasis. That's a good chunk of storyline we missed so any number of things could've occured. Only two things we know for sure. 1.) Ganondorf has taken over, and 2.) All the nights are missing (Unless I'm mistaken..). Therefore, it could be reasonable to assume they all died trying to defend what was left of Hyrule when Ganon came to power. Then at the last minute, when the people had lost all hope of salvation, Link appears out of nowhere and defeats Ganon. The sages then sealed him up in Golden Land. And that's how the Legend of the Imprison War began. Many years later, the people either forgot about the Hero or just assumed he was the last of Hyrule's knights. Which explains the whole "Knight's Bloodline" thing.

Just so you know...many others have heard this before:

I believe there were 2 Imprisoning Wars...one war for the timeline Link left behind when he went back into the past for the final time on OOT (TWW backstory) and another for the one he returned to upon arriving for the final time in the past in OOT (LTTP backstory).

Uh...yea..we all pretty much agree on the IW's placement, don't we? ^^; I personally think it took place in the Child half of the timeline after OOT

There was no battle which Ganondorf was sealed in the realm. And a battle between Ganon... and the Sages? Please.

The sages did it. And just like that, it was done. He was sealed away.

I see no war in OoT surely the Imprisoning War was after OoT, WW but before Alttp
