Ok, this is a little wierd, In Zora's domain, there is a area that I can't get to, on the Island in Zora's Domain (I'm going to refer to Zora's Domain as ZD) where the lone zora is standing, if you dive to the bottom facing the entrance to ZD, under the Island is a room, if you look closely (hopefully before ur air runs out) you can see a box, but damnit I can't get down there!!! And you can't use the Iron boots as Adult link, because ZD is Frozen. Does anyone know how to get down there, or does anyone know what's down there?

I think I read that it was just a trick of the polygons - that there really isn't anything special there. People have used Gamesharks to see it close up. Let's see if I can find one...

There's actually a rumor that it's the triforce in there, but I don't really care about it enough to look into it much further than I already have

That triforce thing rung a bell with me. I believe that when the screen turns orange at the VERY end of the game (when Link reacquaints himself with Zelda inthe castle courtyard), you can use some sort of gameshark code to get UNDER the courtyard, and see a triforce down there. Whether it is the one you can collect or not I don't remember. (There IS a triforce you can collect/just see using a gameshark code, but I can't remember the details.)

I may be remembering things wrongly, but when you're a child in the Zora's Domain, can't you L/Z-target on something at the bottom of the water? Is that the "chest" you're talking about?

No you can't (I'll elaborate on just this one - you can see the small triforce texture floating around in the game's memory of the area, out of sight of normal gameplay, this texture is then used in the ending sequence to place an image of the ToC mark on young Link's hand).
