I decided to make a little thread for everyone to put their Paint drawings in. Here are some of mine...

Posted Image Posted Image

They got shrunk because of Photobucket. Oh well. How are they? These are pictures of my RP character, Z.

As I said in the other thread, thats awesome ^^ And I can never produce something like that using a mouse.

EDIT: Stuff like this:

Posted Image

That was hand drawn, and colored over using Paint. All shading effects are of paint shop pro.

Here are some creature heads I drew. They're creatures from my fanfic, "Island of the ancients". I even put in some details like skin and crooked teeth for a more ominous look.

Here's a creature I call the Tyrant Dodongo.

A dragon...

I even drew one of those V-rexes on King Kong and HERE IT IS!

I usually use Photoshop Elements and my tablet now, but I thought I would give the old Paint and mouse a try again...

How do you make your mouse go where you want it to? Mine's just contrary... So all my pictures where you have to draw anything are rubbish.

I think they use tablet, Showsni.

My mouse sucks. The ball (yes, no laser on this computer -_-) Gets stuck at some points, then jerks across the screen, causing a major streak of whatever I was painting.

Thank computers for un-do. Yay.

This is why I use lines and curves for most of my outlining. So long as you don't let go of the mouse button, you can take the time to get the drawing where you want to. (Even with ball mouses, Kitsune, which is always a good thing. :D)

Keh! I think Ill just stick to traditional Japanese ways. Like Im supposed to.

...

*Modern Definintion of Japanese Tradition*= Computers/Robots/Machinery

-_-

Maybe Ill just ask you to color/shade them. Most manga artists do it on their own. Ill learn it...eventually. >.>

Colouring and shading is difficult on Paint, but possible.

All that I can do is edit existing sprites. Anything original's too difficult for me and always hurts my hand*Itai!!!*The last time I tried drawing with a mouse was a few months ago, before I got the current idea for my female eyes, and it didn't look very good

I edit sprites too. I can post my Shadow Link sprites if you don't mind... (They were done on Paint, so it's legal in this thread.)

I've took a few of the photos from Zelda DX and gave them color over the weekend. Perhaps tomorrow I can show you them

How do you make your mouse go where you want it to? Mine's just contrary... So all my pictures where you have to draw anything are rubbish.

I think it's because I'm on the computer so much. I'm kind of in sync with the mouse's movements. When the mouse speed is different or I'm using a different mouse, it takes me a while to adjust. So, lots of practice, I guess.

Unless you have the ball type, which I can't use at all. I think because it drags along even though my mind is thinking the cursor should immediately be where my hand is... or something.

Usually I use a tablet, but I can draw with a mouse, like I did with that Peach picture. That was completely done with the freehand tool, fill, and the dotted square thingy to repeat the background. I actually have to undo a lot more when I use a use the tablet, because it's hard to get the pressure and thickness right.

I would think being so steady with a mouse would mean that I have good hand-eye coordination, but I can't even catch a ball. XD

Using Paint doesn't bother me. It just takes a little patience.

Attached File  Godzilla_sketch.jpg   151.51K   4 downloads
In this Godzilla pic, I drew the body, but the arms were a little short and the legs weren't as bulky. I used Paint to make the proportions much better. The alligator-colored skin and the lighter underbelly are quite a nice detail too.

I do have the ball type. I try to draw a curve/line, and it stops showing up halfway along, and then I run out of desk, or it suddenly jerks... Not that I'm any good at drawing anyway.

Made the Vet Signal in Paint. It's about the only thing I've made in Paint from scratch. Mostly I use it for manipulating pictures I find through Google.

I've got some new stuff. Firstly, my Shadow Link sprite sheet that I promised.

Posted Image
It's still a work in progress, since I'm still trying to make the items. If you look closely enough, you can see that Shadow Link DOES have different colours. It took a mix of Paint Shop Pro 5 (which I can no longer use; free trial expired) and Paint to make this.

Next, a comic.

Posted Image
Two characters from Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. It's what would've happened if they met; Popple (the green one) and Jojora (the blue one). The .gif part made it pencilized, but it's still good.

Even though it's easier to sprite without the glasses, her design included them, unfortunately, along with several of my other characters
