What has been going on in the land known as Hyrule?

I haven't posted here in years, I kind of got out of my Zelda mood and videogames in general,
I used to be quite up to date with all the theories pre-WW, once WW came out I didn't really come again, I didn't even get very far on WW.
I normally find most Hot Pocket videogames tacky with all the non-gamers wearing them thinking their cool but the new one they had that was green and had link grabbing the Master Sword just like the Hyrule Castle windows in WW rekindled the fire on my zelda fandom, and how fun the story of the games are and trying to connect them.
Like I said I never finished WW or got too far, but I have seen the timelines have changed somewhat with some people prefering split timelines now, how much has the timeline theories changed since games WW and post games? I already read some spoilers but if I could get a somewhat of an update with the least ammount of spoilers it'd b nice.
I only recognize a few names of posters, hopefully not all of them left ;o

You'll be able to understan better the storyline if you read through these TWW's spoilers. However, if you don't want to read them you can always skip this paragraph. As you may remember, Link was trying to rescue his sister Aryll. The pirate Tetra and the King of Red Lions are the main characters who help him in his quest. The King guides Link through his quest to gather the three pearls (were they pearls?) so he can fight Ganon, who has come back, in order to rescue Aryll. When Link has gathered the three pearls the King tells him to place them in three statues located in three different islands. When Link has placed the three pearls on the islands a giant tower called the Tower of the Gods appears in the middle of the Great Sea. Inside the tower there's a dungeon designed by the gods to test Link's habilities. Link manages to beat the dungeon's boss, proving that he is the chosen one, or something like that (sorry, but it's been a long time since I beat TWW). The Link and the King go under the sea throught a passage and there they find out that the old Hyrule actually lies under the sea. Link enters into the castle of Hyrule and there he finds the Master Sword. After getting the Master Sword he and the King go to Forsaken Fortress. Link rescues Aryll and the other girls with the aid of Tetra. Link beats the Helmasaur King (the giant bird) and goes inside the room where Ganon is. Link tries to fight Ganon with the Master Sword, but Ganon is unharmed by it because the Master Sword has lost its power. Tetra gets inside the room and Ganon discovers that she is Zelda in reality because the Triforce crest is resonating in their hands (that's why he was kidnapping girls, I presume). Valoo helps Link and Tetra escape and the King takes them to the Tower of the Gods. He reveals to Link and Tetra the he is the old king of Hyrule and that he was disguising as a boat, he also tells Tetra that Zelda was her ancestor and the the necklace that she inherited from her mother is a piece of the Triforce. In order to beat Ganon Link must find the Triforce of Courage and he must retrieve the Master Sword's power by awakening two sages. Link does so and fights Ganon, who has kidnapped Zelda. Ganon steals their Triforce pieces and attemps to make a wish so the gods bring Hyrule back to the surface, because they flooded Hyrule when they begged them to save them from Ganon (as it is stated in the introduction). Anyway, Ganon doesn't achieve to touch the Triforce because the King does it before. His wish is that Link and Zelda have a future. Ganon gets really angry and he tries to beat Link and Zelda, but they fight him and Link drives the Master Sword into Ganon's head, turning him into stone. At the end Link and Zelda decide to look for a new land, but the King has told them that it won't be Hyrule, it will be their land.
For single timeline theories, people like to place ALttP either before or after OoT, so some people think that A Link to the Past is the first game while others think that OoT goes before all the games. People who believe that ALttP is the first game support their theory by saying that no games can take place after TWW because it will stay forever undersea. On the other hand, other people prefer to place OoT before ALttP and some of them believe that OoT is the Imprisoning War.
And in split timelines most people believe that the Imprisoning War is OoT, so OoT would be the first game, while TWW and ALttP take place in different timelines.
It is widely believed that Link's Awakening takes place after ALttP and Legend of Zelda/Adventure of Link take place before ALttP, so right now everything mostly spins arounf those three theories that I have mentioned above. We haven't figured yet where The Magic Cap takes place, actually we are discussing that in a threat in this moment.
I don't remember you, when did you stop coming? No one too old is left, Mike Peters Sucks and I are the oldest members who still come to the Storyline Forum.

...and Legend of Zelda/Adventure of Link take place before ALttP...
You mean after, what with the whole "ancestors" thing.
Tekky posts still (now and then, though generally in other sections) and TSA drops by occasionally. Davogones seems to have been MIA for ages...
